  4. I was there too, but I'm not that sad that I had to reroll with my 95... For me mostly only the fun counts - Okay, would love a rare huge axe with 4 enchants but... mhhh first fun, then gear ^^ And I also understand why we had to reroll - Event log messages are so easily changeable. So better for all to reroll if the person who gives the loot out can read it. Maybe it would be better if random reaches 10 tiles far for such cases - but okay.
  5. No, the simple reason is - if we wouldn't have the chance on surface mining rock, entire mountains would be gone in no time... And believe me, there are players, who are interested in turning a huge rock into a flat surface ^^ (not myself I just work on a tiny area) tiny - lol first site was ~5-10 tiles and 2nd is still 5x3 (the rest I mined already patient as I am) PS.: on the first site I had lots of help (forgot to mention that)
  6. Yep - I didn't compared dirt and rock, but I compared rock and rock... (Rock in a mine seems from that point to be like butter compared to surface mining - it's simply too unlogical...) If I tunnel a rock tile ~50 times I got a mine entry isn't that surface mining too? Then theoretical you need to tunnel 800 times with 20% success chance too - or? And that would be unfair to newbies who want to open a mine... I have for this "prob" 3 possible solutions: - making a solid chance bound to skill and tool (would make the world changes too fast) - making a random chance and rise it, bound to skill and tool (would be still a chance, but higher - each rock tile more reduces the work by days) - making at least the leveling and flattening on tiles possible (what does work in a mine should work on surface too - we have these options already on rock floor tiles in mines and all other outside) (of course with keeping the actual or a bit higher chance) and - flattening and leveling on surface mining wouldn't be that great change (again - with keeping the chance to gain a rock shard) //Edit: Why I compare a rock tile with surface rock? Isn't rock = rock or is there a difference between rock which lies up on the mountain (less pressure) to rock deep in the underground (high pressure)? But then we'll would need a new material - compressed rock or granite - would make things too difficult... (then I could even ask why there's no jumping in wurm - the answer is simple - then we would have tons of "bouncy ball like newbies" jumping around ^^)
  7. Difference? If you're in a mine you mine 64 rocks almost in 64 actions... (okay, in the mine a rock tile is just ~50 actions) The same rock is on the surface 500 - 2k actions... Explain that difference please... At least the leveling and flattening on surface would be an enourmeous help... (it works in a mine too - the only difference: no tileborders in a mine) It's just a "feature" to not make people mining entire mountains... - okay... At least villagers should be able to mine faster on a deed then... (just on the surface of course)... In the Mine I do 1k mining actions and got 950 - 1000 Rock shards (depending on luck) on the surface I do 1k Mining actions and got 50 rock shards (if I'm lucky) But it's still a pain... (and I just asked usually for a rise of the chance to 33%... - but if randomness consists, I'm more for 35 - 40 %) (then you got 25-30% at least...) or make a fixed 33% chance depending on skill and tool ql / dmg - the usual calculations... That could work too...
  8. Here's the new caretaker of hills Will make some cleanup and redesign these days will last a bit until it's back on service, but I keep rushing it...
  9. I think I can take care of hills newbies soon... will be much easier when cliffs finally is finished, but... mhhh okay, at least the fences... then I can ^^ yep - can't let the newbie shelter die - okay, put a lot of work with all helpers in it ^^
  10. +1 I think no one would hurt if the chance to gain a shard would be rised to 33% (fixed) on surface mining (since it's really painful, if you need to change ~10 - 20 tiles) - it's already a work of 3-5 days when you're alone on it... For comparison - in 3-5 days I could excavate surely ~100 rock tiles with no problem... (instead of lowering 8 tiles by ~15 shards each corner) So I think if we could at least flatten borders or level tiles on surfacemining it would be a huge help and still no break of game mechanics just a little change of existing mechanics... Some calculations... I have checked logs in may (due to no mining actions in a mine so far) 1040 times chipped away, 273 times mined rock shards. (in 2 days) or more correctly 42 hours that are 1313 mining actions with 273 successful mined shards - result in 20,79 % success chance. If I think that I have to mine 8-12k rock shards (successful) for finishing my terraforming, I have ~ 38480-57720 mining actions to perform to finish "my deeds" terraforming... If I calculate with my usual online time I need ~1406,73 - 2110,09 hours of surface mining before me... (in hard words 1,95 months - 2,93 months). Or shortly... brb - got 3 months surfacemining to do xD

  12. +1 here too - would be better since some deeds are directly neighboured to another and expanding is then a bit tricky =D
  13. Did you two tried unhitching it and pushing it out? (Should work)
  14. you can still unhitch the wagon and push it out / pull when you arrive the door (the long way) also can push them trough 1 tile wide spaces... but - it's the way of the patient player ^^ except when your house is only 1 tile wide... tried in between arched walls (fit well) 2 double doors (didn't passed in any angle, forward & backward) 1-3 fence gates next to each other (didn't passed in any angle, forward & backward) So in general they are useless on any deed with 1x1 and 2x2 house entrys...
  15. Yep wagon won't pass even 2 double doors... arched walls seem to be passable... but double doors and gates seem to make problems... and 1 tile wide roads are unpassable sinde wagon seem to be 1,5 tiles wide... //edit: fence gate (single, double and triple) aren't passable as well with them.
  16. yep, for sure Redi, but - passwords are surely encrypted stored in the database ^^ //Edit: Forgot to mention - a domain movement can last up to 24 hours (that's usual the time all dns nameservers need to aquire the new name) (yep, the movement from one provider to another)

  18. When I tried logging in (before reading the news on the HP) (yep I read them in the client) but since I got the update files, it seems they don't lie on the same Server as like the game... What's actual good... for stability reasons...

  20. yep, I think it is depending on the used graphics adapter got an ati 7700 and - got also dark caves... I compensate it with using now 65% brightness on my led tft instead of 50% ^^
