  1. Just prevent them from spawning on mountain rock. Have you *seen* the north coast? Herds and herds of mobs that no one can reach.
  2. +1 Perhaps the existing lock/unlock all gates deed control could be made to affect all locks on deed?
  3. Right, it's not about the speed, it's about the randomness. I don't mind multi tasking while surface mining. I do mind having to pay attention on the last few actions and getting nothing on, say 20-30 actions, and then 2-3 successes within 5 actions. Reduce the randomness of it, It serves no purpose other than to reduce accuracy on a hard to correct action on something that is already a pretty massive time sink and mouse clicky process.
  4. Fortunately for me, I work with dual screens and usually watch a movie or TV series on Netflix will I work on this massive surface mining project. Otherwise I'm sure I'd have lost my mind by now. Even so, I understand the frustration for the randomness factor in something as trivial as pounding rock. Belthize was right on point about only having to really focus on it during the last 1-2 slope.

  6. LoL All righty then. I understand your points. Not a popular idea. Hope you all understand that I'm just trying to find a way to help generate a flow of economy from top to bottom. Trying to think of ways that new, and financially challenged players might be better able to make their way into the game and become self sufficient. Opening the way for yet more new players the next generations on down. But I'm no economics major.

  8. Temporary. Short Term. Provides motivation for top down economy and enables new player to work for benefit and profit. If one week of real time is too long then shorten it. Looking forward to additional input.
  9. I know that. I've been with Wurm off and on for almost 6 years and have worked on some very large projects. It's just a thought for another option of play style that might be fun. Not trying to make it Minecraft over all. Just a suggestion to add a new mode of play. It would possibly also open doors of creative thought and more directly demonstrate the benefits of cooperative effort for newer, lesser skilled prem players that they could carry over into their normal mode play for longer term building and effort.
  10. 3 times would be 33%. 4 would be 25%. IF it were consistent and not random each time. Even at 5 times - 20% Taking the randomness out would be a welcome change, I agree.
  11. Looks nice. I do all my mapping and rendering of deeds with Sketchup. But I'm talking about something in game that groups of people can quickly work on building together. A community building effort. The wipes would prevent folks from just moving and 'living' on such a server. Keeping it as a creative playground.
  12. Considering that I have been surface mining for a week, and still have a LOT left to go... this 'sounds' good, but I wouldn't bump it to more than 25%. Absolute max maybe 33%. I don't know the actual technical reasons either, but I could see the rapid change of terrain and rendering it for all in the area as maybe having some overhead that would cause lag. Rock *should* be hard to change. Certainly not a 1:1 like dirt. So I see both sides.
  13. Still a fuzzy idea in my head. Haven't thought it through or flushed it out. Workers Permit - Purchasable, giftable item. 1 Silver. (Affordable for newbies with a bit of work) Allows one week (real time) of 21.5 Skill Cap. Allowing Large Cart, sailing, and Wall bashing ability. Handy for established property owners that wish to put newbies to work on larger labor intensive projects. Hauling, or caravan deliveries. Allows newbies to work more efficiently and perhaps be able to earn enough in game coin to buy premium for themselves. Perhaps gives a motivation to distribute coin from the top down through the Wurm society? Thoughts?
  14. Creative Mode. Ala Minecraft. Prem Only. 3 or 6 Month wipes (NO EXCEPTIONS). Similar to Test Server but no Cornucopia.. Skills start at 70 or 80. Allow communities of players to work together to build *amazing* projects in short periods of time. Showcase the results! Hold Contests!
