  1. Challenge accepted. Any guidelines on word count?
  2. +1 - otherwise you better change the name Freedom to something less ironic....
  3. Wurm has always been both deceptively simple and complex at the same time. With basic mechanics it manifests many wonderful things, and I would like to add one more to that list. Icebergs. These would have the following attributes: -Spawn at a certain rate in the waters to the north and sound of a map -Perhaps only spawn at certain times of year, but migrate -Icebergs would be like ships in water, extending both above and below the waterline, they would float and move -They could be surface-mined with a Pick-Axe for Ice Shards, or with Digging and a Shovel, for Snow(balls) -As an Iceberg was mined or dug on, it would get lower to and then below the waterline and eventually no longer be accessible for either action (this violates physics but best we can do) -If it were not too hard to code, they could A ) Cause damage to ships that hit them B ) Shrink in size as they age/move south Besides looking cool and adding some life to the seaways (also homes for seals, polar bears etc), they could provide a source of Snow(balls) (and perhaps the new longer-lasting Ice) for the new Larders. In their most basic form they could be done with 100% of their resources using existing code, and with some minor additions they could have the more advanced features. Their spawn rate could also be controlled, perhaps even tied to the number of snowballs in the world, or the time of year, to balance overall Larder usability. If for now other reason, do it just for that first moment when you sail into a field of icebergs out under the moonlight at night...
  4. So it is an unmentioned but unintended consequence of the new cooking system, this is understandable and knowing it is being looked into in terms of rectification reduces the pain somewhat. Thank-you very much.
  5. The cooking update is a wonderful, impressive and appreciated amount of work - well done! Unfortunately my happiness and gratitude has been damaged by a change the devs have seen fit to make which I can only describe as stupidly cruel or cruelly stupid - fruit presses, cheese drills, and I suspect rope tools and who knows what else are no longer usable through the crafting window. Which means you can no longer process large amounts of raw materials into their various products without hurting fingers, mouse and brain, being forced once again to do countless actions where a single click was previously mercifully available. I don't know why they do things like this, and in the many years I've been playing and paying Wurm, they've done such things often, but every time they do, it makes me question their intelligence, their intentions and my interest in Wurm. Why do they hate us so much, why do they punish us for no apparent reason? It boggles the mind. I guess we don't get to have something inspired and wonderful without being given something terrible, or having something good taken away. Disappointing in an otherwise fantastic update.
  6. Yes, please either do this, or remove it from the mission's table.
  7. It's funny that the sleep bonus timer keeps ticking down, I hate to disconnect in case it's one of those 'can't log back in if you log out' issues but burning SB is no fun. Logging out with high QL meals on your characters sucks too. That's enough Wurm for today methinks.
  8. Yep, and it just ate a nice chunk of SB - thanks for that!
  9. Noticed that this page on altars and domains is no longer accurate: http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Wooden_altar This section here: "If you feel the presence of any god other than the one you follow, you cannot start or continue an stone or wooden altar dedicated to your god. Only stone or wooden altars dedicated to the god of their respective domain can be started or continued within that domain. Gold altar and Silver altar need to be blessed after creation and can thus be built in opposing domains." Thank-you kindly!
  10. For anyone wondering, in order to eat Julbord, you need to have 84% Food or lower.
  11. Looks wonderful, thank-you! Also thanks for the delicious Julbard! (for anyone wondering, you have to be at 84% Food or lower to be able to eat it)
  12. Would it be possible not only to modify the existing deities/spells, but to add new ones? I am not talking about new content, just copying or modifying what already exists so as to create new combinations? Increasing the number of deities essentially with each having different associated spells. Thanks in advance for any reply!
  13. I am wondering if decay would be possible as well.
