    Technically you can have 11, 100 mind logic will let you queue 10 and have your initial one but if WU is still accurate for this (and no reason to doubt it isn't) it breaks the crafting window, idk about anything else

    Because it's a guideline and not a rule, sometimes a suggestion is bad enough there's little to no saving graces that can allow for good construction.

    Besides, we know nothing will be done in relation to uniques. Especially not baiting a dragon into eating yellow potions to make it a human...

    Honestly I'd rather not see that. We don't need to make sleep powder even more powerful than it is. Ultimately fatigue is a system that was made with a use in mind, and it is no longer fit for purpose and actively makes interactions with the game restrictive past a point.

    I feel like if it's going to be an issue it'd (hopefully) be somewhat shortlived. Eventually a group wanting to do that would run out of SB one way or another, promoting them to finally take that step back if they don't want to just keep slamming themselves into menial tasks when they can have a normal life instead. Maybe a bit of a pipe dream, there's lots of SP, but I do think eventually it's just not going to be as viable, if ever. It's a good concern to raise though.

    Not sure how that's the fatigue issue, realistically fatigue would just be a time gate for that but the end result ultimately the same. It was a thing in the past but I'm not aware of a group grinding a single account anymore. With the changes to allow only 2 others access to an account I think the desire and potential for it to happen has waned drastically.

    One thing I've not really understood when I learned that fatigue left is checked when a GM macro check is done...

    Why does it have to limit gameplay? If a manual macro check is done by a GM anyway, and who knows how much more checks to clear, why not just keep fatigue as an invisible system for GMs to see, but doesn't just put a halt on your gameplay once you hit that 12 hour mark?


  7. There's a lot of messages that have been said in the past and most of them have continued to exist in the space of "well it doesn't affect me so I don't care"
    You can very easily dismiss a lot of the concerns you can raise about removal of fatigue because the system is that worthless. It's unreal how such a crap system has stayed around, though from what I've learned it's because it's so awfully intertwined to stuff that removing it would be something of a challenge. But we're getting an action rework in full so maybe it could be something in scope?

    Ultimately no, from a GM I know, fatigue at best and most frequently is just checked and seen as some check that doesn't hold a lot of stock anymore. I don't recall ever hearing of a ban directly linked to fatigue concerns.

    Priest casting is one of the last markets that would really heavily benefit from macro usage and casting doesn't use fatigue. If you're making bulk goods, with the 100% creation chance you literally just spin up a new alt now to get around fatigue, devs have been undermining the system for ages.

    Yes and you never got X illness so it's not an issue for anyone right?

     

    We have a wonderful mechanic for promoting you logging off, it's called sleep bonus. We even have restlessness now which only lowers when you're offline or on another cluster, so another reason to promote players taking this break. We don't need a game to nanny us, especially not a monthly sub game. Let us play the god damn game.

  10. I don't think a thread of this style is productive. Having been the target of one in the past, it just drips the negative vibes.

    I think a better idea is to make a fresh suggestion that would rectify this issue.

    Because Wurm isn't a game that hands everything to the player and ultimately mole senses is already barely used. You can already make efforts to check rock layer below you and if it's not "good enough" you can generally work around it, which is how deeds really develop their own flare for their owners.

    No. The rate of SB gain shouldn't be tied into a singular skill, and SB as a resource is as fair as it could be, so long as you don't mind people opting to sell their powders for coin instead.

    Making sense does not mean it's a good game mechanic or concept. You'd just create a frankly terrible disparity, something I already feel makes the differences in bedrolls really awful. Straw beds I'll give a pass to at least, though it already doesn't feel good, or right.

    How does it work with an action queue? 

    If I queue the actions to identify fragments, will it switch to the ideal tool the fragments want as the queue goes on?

    The answer is body strength. It just needs to be looked into to matter more meaningfully. I can't muster the energy to find the thread but I made some comparisons when bashing bridges and such, and the rate of damage is pitiful and for meaningful damage on some items is just absolute hell.

    I think really you'll be told to use lava or suck it up and just bash away. Lava has a 100 item limit anyway and destroying paving is affected by woa/botd iirc.

    Can't really think of any skill that'd be worthwhile binning just to get a workaround fix to something that should be changed elsewhere anyway.


  16. Hi all, I am part of Capybara Sultanate, and the task has fallen on me to address this issue as Silakka is unable to post on the forum and Egard is not currently available in full capacity. For this reason I’ve been able to see the screenshots that led to the reason the graphics were pulled. We initially wanted to keep this drama free and work on getting replacement graphics in as to not create a big fuss, however that hasn’t worked out.

    Messages were sent to members of the kingdom by Emi that stated that she, the one who made these graphics, no longer gave us permission to use them. Not wanting to fall foul of rules like some previous groups did, the decision was made for the removal to protect ourselves. With the disbandment that’s impending, due to our intention to not really play any more, we’re waiting to hear from Saroman if an update to the graphics can be made even with the kingdom gone. The decision to remove the graphics wasn't taken lightly, we all feel attached to them and do like them, however we didn't feel safe or comfortable keeping them. Using the rights to use the graphics as a sort of sword of Damocles over our heads was enough to force our hand to the decision. If the removal of the graphics is going to be weaponised against us, we feel it's only fair we defend ourselves by showing our rationale.


    I will provide screenshots that show this issue for what it is. The first screenshot dates from the 2nd of this month, and the second screenshot from today after a new PMK was formed. We felt screenshots of the offending messages to be necessary due to a tendency for those messages to then be deleted by their author. Regardless of if the messages are deleted, it’s unsettling to get those statements due to things like player bans happening in the past for similar problems. You'll also see the tone of the messages which tend to come across as either threatening or demanding. This has been a longer standing issue and part of the escalation that lead to the removal of Emi from the kingdom.

    I have also seen PM's between Egard and Saroman that enforces our intent to have replacement graphics even before the graphics were removed or it was even said they'd allow the removal. These haven't been included due to it being a PM with a staff member.


    I hope this clarifies the issue and prevents any additional issues. We understand the upset and frustration it has caused and work on new graphics is happening. No ETA as the person is working at their own time and pace, but so long as Saroman allows us to replace the graphics, we will do our best to do so.

    They admitted quite some time ago that they tried Wurm and didn't like it, these threads have been made to try and twist the devs arm into making the game they "dream"

    Some silly line at one point about how his ideas would bring millions of players or something


  18. A pretty crap, bland and boring idea.

    Ideas like this serve to drive away any unique points Wurm has by sliding us towards yet another survival crafter game, this time we just have MMO glasses. It offers no actual gameplay depth or complexity, and just instead gives us a random middle finger event that's ultimately not driven by anything. It's plainly obvious you never settled into Wurm, because you have no real concept of the scope the game operates at, or what was tried with it. Stick to lower level things, each time you've suggested larger scale events/servers/whatever they always end up a mess of ideas copied from other media and concepts that don't work yet you try and fix them by layering more stuff on top, usually making it utter drivel.

    The entire situation is weird given you've had 0 platform to defend yourself, or a way to actually give them information that matters. It certainly brings the leaks back to mind, where it's a ruling of chaos by upper levels. Why go for the person doing actual leaking when you can fire your gun at the person who used the screenshot to discuss a matter with someone internally? The message I'd be getting as staff is to not share screenshots of internal matters in case you run the risk of it being leaked and you get the boot instead. It feels less like a removal for the safety of internal information and more like a removal for some other reason, personal or otherwise.

    Between losing other people like Enki and the losses last year, it seems like the situation on the back end is still fairly unstable.
