  2. Yes, I pay $45 / month for this. Yes, Sasktel considers themselves on the FOREFRONT of technology. Yes, we the customer gets the left-overs. Here's why: The cold of Canada wreaks havoc on light signals causing fiber optic lines to fog up causing traffic delays on the major highway that the 3 residents of Saskatchewan are travelling on. So they sit and wait while the farmers discover telephone banking while driving their combine with a 42 foot header down the road during rush hour on a Friday night. That's OK though because all the hicks are sitting in the bar getting drunk on whiskey and rye singing "American Pie" waiting for their packets to come through Canada Post being delivered on the back of a pick-up truck, probably a Ford, belonging to the red-neck next door. So you see, high speed, is relative.
  3. Yeah I hear you. That was a weird implementation in the first place. Cutting steppe should give you steppe grass, cutting grass should give you more grass (call it mixed grasses or green grass or what have you). Wurmian genius at work.
  4. My forum search has not found anything such as this, so here goes. Dirt dug is thrown directly into cart (think wheel barrow). Steps: 1. Target cart (game checks: see if cart in range, permissions, is accessible (not through a wall/fence)) 2. Dig - Dirt goes directly into cart (if cart full or no cart targeted dig fails or goes to player inventory dirt drops to ground on tile you are standing on as a pile) - Player inventory is not accessed, dirt does not cycle through inventory on its way to the cart. I would think that current in game code should be able to be used for most of this.
  5. -1: Already partially implemented. Cutting regular grass gives mixed grass and shortens the grass length (pretty accurate IRL). That mixed grass can be planted, preferably without an extra step for seeds. I feel that we don't need another crop type to accomplish this. Grass is good. +1 for being able to bale mixed grass +1 for straw and associated products
  6. Might make this a different thread, but I +1 the idea of getting back at least 1 seed. The general life of plants is to grow, mature, seed then die, or die then seed depending on which plant it is. Either way you should always be able to get a seed.
  7. UPDATE: I have 2 screens. I have dual wurm running, 1 client on epic, 1 client on freedom. Epic client is lagging out, Freedom client almost pops the menu's up before I click its so fast. Are the epic servers hosted and a different location then freedom?
  8. In longer sessions I get more "This is probably not desired" & "Can't do XXXX because it doesn't exist" messages than are listed in these logs. I'm not sure what info might be relevant, so I'll include some more: Windows 7 Home SP1 Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 4 GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT (512MB) Realtek onboard audio Asus P5K Motherboard Atheros L1 Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 Base-T Controller 10 fingers & 2 coffees - just in case its me I'm running on a 25Mb highspeed connection, routed through 1 router before hitting the modem. Lag persists when directly connected to modem.

  10. Over the past few months I've been getting randomly bad lag. The past few days it has persisted. I'll click an action, and it won't happen for sometimes up to a few minutes. Sometimes I get force-restarted, but usually it just sits there in a hung state seemingly waiting for a response. I'll also get the message saying the server doesn't have my current location, and I've gotta stop and let it catch up. Right click menus take quite some time to populate. I've noticed it's worse on HOTS home epic. Is there anything I can do to test my connection with the server when that happens? I've done a speed test while hung-up and its fine. I can browse fine, start up a download fine, and never get kicked off vent, so I know its Wurm related. I've tried to use unstable client, but it doesn't seem to help any.
