  1. There may not be any direct fees, but there is always some loss when converting currencys. Money services use different indices for converting to them and from them. Here you pay double, first for Paypal to convert from euro to dollar, then for Xsolla to convert back. Xsolla is meant to give a broader range of options to a broader audience. That includes PayPal. But it is better to use the direct PayPal option, which can be found below the Xsolla options.
  2. Also this line essentially says that it is not a problem with Wurm, but Java itself: # The crash happened outside the Java Virtual Machine in native code. The Virtual Machine is what runs the java programs and native code is what java uses to run on the system. So there is either there is something fundamentally wrong between your system and java or as Wox mentioned your system can't handle a Virtual Machine big enough for Wurm.
  3. You should really fix this forum to accept image urls without point extension: Economic Left/Right: -3.62 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.64 Interesting, I thought I'd be further right. But some of these question were kinda awkward to answer.
  4. edit: somehow missed this last page and didn't see that Budda already clarified that. But I'll keep it here anyway to say: Rolf's info was kinda condensed, but it was there. What the hell. Sometimes I really have to wonder how some of you are able to write, when you are apparently not even able to read. So before this escalates any further, lets get the facts straight: I mean I'm the first guy who would complain about how they should get their act straight, but here they are actually doing exactly what everyone is asking for: They are trying to fix a bug, namely of getting stuck in structures. I mean, lets realize this: you are moaning here about how they should start fixing bugs, rather than waste time fixing bugs ... The best way they come up with of doing that, is to replace their hack job of an ancient denial of movement system, with a proper modern collision system, which will also solve several issues they have with multi stories and bridges. This would however make it possible to jump over fences because they would no longer be sky high, which would only be realistic btw. Rolf was here only talking about the already implemented feature of jumping down, also called falling from a cliff or tower. So far he only reported about what they are currently doing (fixing bugs) and the possible consequences. Then he started asking our opinion on possible future features. He said that flying will be possible, flying for players will have some issues, but they are solvable and asked what we think. It was implied that they could also add option to jump up. Also Rolf has been complaining for years that the dragons don't fly and that flying for creatures will come. Once again: he is only asking if he should also add flying for players.
  5. True, but on the other hand, It should be pretty obvious that it can't be intended that you run through a massive stone structure. If you rely on those kinda bugs or unimplemented features, you have to expect that they will get changed at some point. Also the effort would be as high as you say, it's not necessary to move the tower. In most cases it would be enough to bash a couple fences or remove some house tiles (which is possible by now)
  6. There are several issues discussed here, so let me go through them: Fence bug: nobrainer, needs to be fixed. Jumping: very much needed, every modern game should have it and players get annoyed if it doesn't. Flying: for creatures for sure, for riders/priests/mages debatable. Enclosure: I see a lot of people vehemently arguing about that. But actually, these changes have no impact in them whatsoever. It's a soft rule that is only enforced by vigilance. It doesn't matter if people bash in or jump over, they get in, take something and are gone. Whether enclosure rule is good or bad in itself has not much do with this. (I'm still advocating a "Yard" area to writs, with hard protection) Deed: Similar, the changes won't affect the deed protection in any way, worst that can happen, is: you have more people crossing through when you use low walls. Writs: Same, the worst is that you might have to lock some upper floor door. Creatures: We already have some that can use doors, so have some jump or fly, isn't that much more of a danger. We recently got several types of high fences, those should protect against any jumping creature. Also we have roofs against flyers. And they could add "outdoor" structures like a nett roof and grate floors. PvP: I can't say much, because I don't participate, but those players should consider: jumping in may be easier than getting out Also a cliff that is high enough to jump over a tall stone wall, should also be high enough to kill almost anyone when jumping from it. Even if not, defenders can build additional walls on top of the cliff. Summary: I see some issues that players will need to deal with, but that is that case for pretty much any change. I don't see any real problems.
  7. For the second report: there seems to be something wrong with your vpn setup, it cant find some urls. For the permissions issue: those are some pf Oracle's new security features that Wurm doesn't fully comply with. Rolfs knew about that, seems he hasn't done anything yet though. However Java should give you a dialogue to ignore those warnings.
  8. I don't know what your other things are but keep in mind that this was mostly a process of copy and adjust, which is often a lot easier than making something new.
  9. Dear Santa Rolf and Team, I haven't begged in this thread. Dear Keldun
  10. It's Java, so you have to look for the jar file, not exe. When you run Wurm, this should work as well. Chance yes, but someone with the right tools (afaik they cost money) needs to convert the files so that DeedPlanner can read them.
  11. That's exactly the problem we are facing: people are too used to single player Coop games and straight game play were every challenge you could possibly face at any given time is solvable with the skills you have at that time. But that's not Wurm. Wurm is a completely open game where everything is possible at all times right from the beginning. And that makes it a true multilayer game as you can't simply play it alone easily. The very first thing a player in Wurm has to accomplish is to realize that you fail and ask for help. The example OP gives is perfect for this: If you start learning first aid, when you are already half dead, there is obviously something very wrong. But a lot of gamers seem to think there shouldn't be.
  12. House bugged

In the past it happened when someone abused the bug to merge two different writs. And you are right it was supposed to be fixed and house expansion was supposed to be tested well. Hope it doesn't turn up like last time, where entire areas became dead zones and almost the entire deed had to be obliterated, because the tendrils ran into other houses.
  13. Just keep in mind that it is 4 animals plus passengers and that the large cart has the same problem with 2 animals plus passengers.
  14. That currently happens with all dyed items on test server.
  15. Legendary titles

I thought epic was curved, so it's faster in low levels, but slower in high levels. So it would be equally hard or even harder to reach 100 ?
  16. It seems that the current CodeClub staff doesn't know much about AI. That is apparent in both, the behaviour of the mobs on Wurm and the behaviour of the entities on Valrei.
  17. I dunno, I like the somewhat atypical design in the OP. As for the coloration I would like to have two options: Kindom colours with Kindom banner. or custom colour. In fact I'd like to see that with almost all cloth items.
  18. I think you misunderstood that, we were talking about alternative uses for rafts and I meant that rafts should be able to take one passenger, because small boats can take three passengers. Also rafts, small boats and small carts all have the same cargo space, so they shouldn't fit into each other, but I agree with you, they all should fit at least one small crate.
  19. Even the small boats are for three people, so having a raft for one person would fit nicely.
  20. Very serious concern there, please make sure that the animals don't get diseased immediately, just because they are hitched to the same waggon.
  21. I think that came in earlier this year. They have an animation that opens the lid and shows the content when you open the chest inventory. You probably never noticed, because usually the gui pops up right in front of the animation. (or you have animations off) It's interesting though how they turn transparent.
  22. They currently have an external consultant working on some stress relief and these kinda effects tend to be optional.
  23. look carefully, the entire bridge segment is missing
  24. Not directly, but they complement each other nicely.
  25. With Flatland Stride I can image of chasing over the plains. Some of the others also do have the vibe of travel and exploration, but more in a spaceship. Through a lush Ravine, reminds me of Uplink or Singularity, maybe a Tron menu. Sp as others have said, good music, but it's difficult to match trance with a medieval game. Some songs manage, others miss the mark. None is really a good fit.
