  1. Hmm im only at 57% gamer and apparently that's mostly because im less than 30 years old, and even though i got the old commodore 64 from my neighbour.
  2. There seems to be some misconception about "pop culture". It just means they are things most people would recognize. Those can be lasting things like old legends, or more fleeting like last decades movies. There is nothing wrong with using stuff like these, otherwise we would be limited to titles like fighter, good fighter, real good fighter. However they need to be used right Things like Herkules, Schwarzennegger, Tank Girl, Gepetto, etc refer to specific characters and shouldn't be used for skills (besides, Gepetto was a toymaker, not a pupeteer) Berserker, Amazon, Knight, refer to a type of people and should work for someone have that same type of skill. Midas Touch is a specific abilty, and doesn't really fit with the the jeweler skill. It should be an achivement title for using transformation liquid maybe.

    Actually Java greatly reduces the amount of bugs, because it simply doesn't allow you to make certain errors that are possible with some other languages. However those are language bugs, which pretty much equal spelling and grammar. Bugs in the alogirthm , which is math and logic, have nothing to do with the language used and can be made in any language in the same way.
  4. Titles liek Hooked on Fishing sound more like something you would get for an achievement, rather than a skill. Agressive Fighting 90 should be Berserker(m) / Fury(f)
  5. Kepp in mind thbat you need to get materials, Fo priest can't mine ore for smithing themself. Also different skills raise different stats. Tailoring for example gives body control, which rope making doesn't give..

I dunno what people have with the RNG, it can be annoying whe you have to only get rid of one or two slope and the damn thing just won't hit, but once you do a couple more you notice that it hardly matters. The climbing and dirt blocking at the edges is far more troublesome to me. And it actually fits with real rock mingin, you chip away at the rock and suddenly a large chunk breaks loose.
  7. Did they increase the agro range of cats? Last time I checked you practically had to step on them, before they would attack, which fits pretty well with the cats I know.
  8. Most rock faces are only steep in one direction (NS, EW) but not the other, so the best way is usually to build a ramp sideways. Mining is usually a pain, because you often have to do so while climbing, which means you afre constantly out of stamina. So if you wanna do this, try to do it top to bottom. Depending on how easy you can get lots of dirt, this might still be a viable method. If you have dirt, you have to pile it up where it wont slide: in the corner between the path and the rockwall. Then us flatten to move it to the edge. Or put some in your inventory, stand on the edge and use the level command.

  10. Sorry but NO to the fog. I see no difference except that it is even stronger than before. It's made even worse by the fact that you have the same fog indoors. If I log into the game and all I see is a uniform grey screen and can expect to see the same uniform grey screen for the next couple hours. I'll log back out and play something else. Luckily you can simply turn off the fog ang get full sight. But what is the point of a game feature, that you can never turn on, because it makes it impossible to play?
  11. Not really a tidbit, maybe "announced" is too strong for this. It's more like random information I came across over time.
  12. They had this on the list for quite some time now. The big spring update they mentioned is supposed to bring a rather big graphics update to the game. Afaik some of the stuff that is needed for this will be in there.
  13. Well there are problem when people deterministically say THIS and IT, because there are several different things discussed here. So I guess this isn't going to be added, most of the people here seem to dislike it. (including me) Still I've read back several pages, do we have any Dev clarifying this? I'm not a dev and I haven't seen any decisions, but this is the tenor I heard in the previous dev responses: They will add the new collision system, because it solves several issues, getting stuck being one of them.It will automatically be possible to jump over walls from a launch platform (tower, cliff) but that's the only immediate option to "jump". There will be ample time to get rid of such platforms, if they pose a problem.They may add a jumping key. (I see more worry, than actual opposition here)Rolf probably will add flying to dragons (he has been promising that for years) likely also to drakes and eagles.They'll may not add flying to dragon riders or mages (mostly dislikes, but Rolf can be stubborn)
  14. Actually it would not. Those kinds of player that would jump over a fence are the same kind that bash the fence. And the players that follow the rules and not bash fences, wouldn't jump over either.

  16. February is the eta now. apparently they have to apply certain things in order and while they have like item 2-20 ready, item 1 seems to still have some issues.
  17. Considering the amount of complaints I have to say, once again: jumping and flying will have no effect whatsoever on security on freedom. Stuff is protected by deeds and writs and locks and that will not change. Only insecure thing will be enclosures and those have never been protected by anything except conscience or vigilance. A player with a jumping key poses absolutely no more thread than a player with a maul.
  18. have you tried it often enough to be sure that you can't actually succeed to damage the fence with the inventory group.
  19. PvP easy fruits

    probably not one of the easier fruits. but likely one of the bigger ones: better visual feedback on combat.
  20. I consider Deliverance the best server for new players: It is pretty compact and easy to get around on. It's central, so it easier to reach the other servers, if need be. It's also one of the older servers, so it's got a lot of established places. But it's not as abandoned as parts of independence.
  21. Never noticed it this clearly, but it's obvious, the isles are square (cause the maps are square)
  22. Performance inside caves has always been much better than outside, so that performance drop probably wouldn't even be noticeable. Unless you do something wrong, like rendering the entire area, just to fill that entrance.
  23. As theoldknight pointed out that's only 25 cent though. The other 52 cent is PayPal converting to dollars.
