  1. And what of those players that would prefer not to live in such proximity? Seems to me that people who want to live near each other... would live near each other. Such people do tend to gravitate and seek out others. Closing servers to FORCE people to be near each other seems hardly conducive to the intent of keeping people ingame.
  2. Eh don't really see the point of having such a system. Offhand seems like an overly complex solution to an issue. An issue I'm not even sure is an issue to begin with.
  3. No idea what the financials look like; however, the company may be fine with keeping Epic maps online. There certainly is more coin in game than even a year ago, so at least someone is buying more. Not to mention less players does allow for scaling back on operating costs for specific maps. Personally if Epic has to go, I'm fine personally with getting nothing; though, I did play Epic quite a bit during its first two years with the faster skillgain and stuff squirreled away. Certainly not bothering to maintain a deed.
  4. Be nice if bonfires had a longer render as well; though, light glow can be seen from quite a distance already.
  5. Pff there will not be intentional resets of existing maps, so ignore the idiots screaming about such. The one time there was an intentional reset or wipe of a map it was Epic's Elevation server, and that new map was voted for in game. Hard to say if that even helped due to Epic's low population. Erosion would be nice over the longterm; however, that would take up server overhead and dev development time better spent on other projects. I'm all for new maps; though, such is up to the devs when they feel its affordable and worth it. That said I'd love to see specialty maps: oceans with atolls, deserts, frozen north and south regions, and etc.
  6. Some deeds could require weapons being sheathed with perhaps settings optional for warnings or outright attack from guards. Though cannot see that being an issue except for deeds of a more liberal stance towards various kingdoms doing business in their domain. Sheathed weapon could have a slightly longer delay in attacking. Personally sheathes, scabbards, bandoliers, belts, etc work well as extra hotkeys or slots.
  7. Mmm risqué deck of cards... Heck lets have tabletop roleplaying games in the game!
  8. Eh in no rush to sell. Actually have two of them atm, and no immediate plans to use em.
  9. Babump... just one of those QoL changes for a resource in increasing demand.
  10. Looking to sell a moneysink item I've had in storage for quite some time. Was part of a prize from a contest. A Rod of Transmutation for 30s... That's a 20s bargain off of the usual trader price. https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Rod_of_transmutation
  11. Same here everytime Ive tried using the ingame lookup.
  12. And build fences and even housing on bridges!
  13. Needs more sunlight sparkles that can make you go blind.
  14. Have the coinage with the head of a unicorn. We can call it "Horns and Asses".
  15. Oh! Capture and keep faeries in jars!
  16. Okay its actually several songs in one video... so sue me
  17. Eh, I'm afraid some of the possibilities in terms of fortifications, especially pvp wise. Its a lot harder to mine down rock, than say dirt.
  18. Not to mention other activities, one should be able to do as a passenger on any vehicle/ship. Might help relieve some of the sailing boredom.
  19. Before tents were added, I use to suggest having cloth-frame walls - which could be erected, collapsed, or packed - for user customizable tents. Basically semi-portable, temp housing. Granted the current tents are more containers than shelters.
  20. Refresh cast since keeping the keys have kinda lost usefulness these days. The unlock keybind as well with nothing/something activated, assuming right permissions of course.
  21. And a few bad ones... sadly one doesn't outweigh the other
  22. Personally animal shipping merely opens up new markets for existing animal breeders. Though I'm more for it due to it opening up speedy travel and a more nomadic lifestyle... now if we just had bedrolls and maybe larger tents.
  23. I collect player hearts. Here's one of mine ripped out by Horton in the summer of 2010.
