  1. Its a high risk move. Wurm will certainly be changed for ever, for good or for worse though?
  2. I would also like to see the signs with text that were showcased in a news article a while back, and maybe even signs with images on them like the ones in the tutorial area (with a preset number of skins that you will be able to chose much like how the shop signs work). That would be a nice small addition i suppose.
  3. less religion, more magic please ty and 99% of people who play wurm dont care about artifacts because they dont get to see them ever. Just make sure whatever their power is, they dont make the life of the 99% missrable. Wurm PVP is to much elitistic as it is.
  4. A) capes, masks, pauldrons and more visible equipment variation overall. Its easy to do, makes the game more beautyfull and most players will appreciate without arguing. Combat system needs to be reworked. Most gamers can only make sence of this game when there is pvp, and right now the combat system is what drives them away. We need to have a BIIIIIG discussion on this subject. C) Better starting villages. Through the eyes of a new players, the starting villages are horrible and dont do justice to the game. Also not all players want/can join player owned villages so starter villages should be able to give some basic accomodations.
  5. massive fps drop in populated areas - give the option to further decrease view distance for items in buildings.
  6. also, this update can only be seen on the forums, the news section of the mainportal is not updated.
  7. i like this map, if only for the tiny center hota island. Make the center island bigger and leave the rest as it is. Unraidable deeds are the norm anyway and elimninating the spires wont do any good since ugly dirbox deeds will just litter the land and are equaly unraidable. At least spire deeds have nice view.
  8. hey man, thanks for the awsome tool and the continued support, i got this message whenever i open deedplanner, but the programm seems to work properly if i just ignore the error report. Only problem is, sometimes out of the blue i get what i call "memory issues", sudden massive fps drop or the programm stops to respond alltogether and i have to close it before the PC stops to respond as well. [2015-03-22 08:54:38] Error has occurred! Java vendor: Oracle Corporation Java version: 1.8.0_25 java.io.IOException: corrupted config file at pl.wurmonline.deedplanner.Properties.loadProperties(Properties.java:57) at pl.wurmonline.deedplanner.Properties.<clinit>(Properties.java:41) at pl.wurmonline.deedplanner.Launcher.main(Launcher.java:27) thanks man
  9. I wanted to say that. many of the perceived problems with epic is just that, a demographic problem. And the answer is more players. But where to find them? Wurm's learning curve is forbiding, and the way epic is working doesnt seem to entice much any new players. Solutions that are being suggested mostly try to counter the symptoms of the problem. Asking the players what they want is going to give very one-sided mindset regarding this issue since they all are old players and dont care at all about bringing newbies in. (at least not in a really competitive to their status way). I am not sure myself, if there is a magic recipe of rules and regulations that could coax new players in (at least in epic). In the light of that, i have one nugging question in my brain. Why not invest in the sandboxiness of a sandbox game? why try to regulate it so much? Why try to keep alive custom-made features that have been spitting out problems all the time (like preset kingdoms and homeservers). Give it a try with challenge map at first, see if it sticks with people. If you manage to make a challenge map wich players dont want it to end, i thing then you've found a good "epic" recipe.
  10. Johan, this weekly newletter, for me, was a pleasant connection between the game and the company, gave me the feeling that this game is alive, the company backing it up actualy existant. Without this bit of information trickling in, its easy for someone who is not interested in forum trolling, to feel like playing in an abandoned game. Low server population, no news in the news section... i hope this wont be the case from now on. I wish you a speedy job recovery with better terms.
