  1. Welcome back! Do I hear intense typing work in the distance? Could it be the weekly update?
  2. My view is that it would fail without these "giveaways" and therefore they can't really be seen as giveaways, it's just part of the game economy. I enjoy the game very much, but would be sad if it became any more expensive. Paying for 2-3 characters with real money is more than enough payment for this service in my point of view. If giveaways are removed then the price for premium needs to go down drastically as well. I guess we have somewhat the same view on this, just some difference in personal option about need or not for re-circulation
  3. -1 Too much development time for a feature hardly anyone would really need. Spend time on the non-java client instead and make it available for Android and IoS.
  4. Rolf is NOT loosing money from money re-circulation, I don't get how som people refuse to understand that. It's part of his busniess plan, it's part of the cost of using his gaming service. If he removes re-circulation the game gets more expensive to play and people will quit. Not instantly quit, but over time as money is drained from the system it will be increasingly hard to make money from selling crafted items and services because there will be less coin in circulation. I agree that traders could be removed(with some compensation to trader owners) and the more fair random distribution we now have is better. But money re-circulation is needed and it is a great idea that should not be removed.
  5. Why not change that instead then, let people keep their chars, just reset the skills and inventory, except no-drop rewards won in previous rounds. I didn't say that titles/statues is death of PvE. There are titles and face masks currently, I said if they continue add more items and types of items you can only gain this way it will eventually be the end of PvE. So far it it just annoying and wrong...
  6. It's easy enough to make some coin from selling crafted items, services or bulk items. I wouldn't say the economy is borked. It's not fair, but which economy is fair? I do think it is working currently. Traders were badly handled, I think we can all agree about that, the way they were "nerfed" was not fair to those who bought one too late. The trader disband mechanics is a sloppy implementation where it is very easy to lose a trader if you are not very careful etc. There are so many things about them that are bad, but they did fill a purpose. Although, the system with random coins from kills and some other actions would have been a better solution from the beginning, but it's easy to say that now...
  7. I got my only 100+ CoC/WoA enchants while my channeling was really low, like 40 or so, (maybe 4-5 of them). Since it got above 70 I hardly ever get over 90 enchants and never 100+. But I have a feeling there have been some nerfs over the years and that might be the cause, I've been 70 + now for maybe 2 years. However I definitly don't feel that I have gotten any better since the 40 channeling days. What is the chance to get 100+ casts these days anyway? Does anyone get them? Edit - About ql of item, I can agree that ql doesn't seem to affect the cast power, just the likeliness of success.
  8. ah, thanks Kegan. Ok if these Challenge rewards are more like previews of items that will come to freedom a few weeks after then it is much more ok.
  9. I didn't say you are, I just say that greed is perfectly fine and it can be a good cause for PvP.
  10. ok, sure, but greedy players on a PvP server is fine, greed is a good cause for PvP, nothing wrong with that. Greed is fine on PvE servers as well, but what is earned in one game should stay in that game.
  11. I think Rolf is a lot less greedy than other game dev companies really. My fear is that this is more of a desperate move than greed...
  12. Akaedis, you can go by boat to Chaos from Freedom servers, makes it part of the game world. Challenge is not. Deathly, you made your point. You like these rewards, no need to throw extra dirt.
  13. Doesn't matter really. They shouldn't be here at all. What you gain on challenge should stay there. People on Freedom will not be any happier for having them around unless we can craft them.
  14. Deathly, those things you list I have never liked either, but Chaos is part of freedom and part of the game we play on freedom. Makes them a bit more acceptable.
  15. Title says it all. These things have nothing to do with these servers, they should stay on challenge.
  16. 1. Can we craft the masks on freedom? 2. If not, can they be taken from Challenge to freedom somehow? I hope #2 is not the case at least. having to play the challenge piece of crap to get some items would be a very bad move in the wrong direction for Wurm.

On Xanadu, there is lag in menus etc. (maybe about 200ms at prime time) but that is server lag, not networklag and it's not game breaking, even though pretty annoying at times.
  18. Because it is closer to travel to Chaos even if you live on Xanadu? It would only be camped by those who happen to live less than 15 min travel from the place. I think it would need to be some special mini server (battlefield) that you can travel to by portal, like Epic starter deed portals but buildable anywhere. Could be pretty cool actually.
