  5. Concur. Obviously BL didn't do more work or the pieces would have moved on the game board. The information is out there I pieced together most of the pieces (from what I can tell) though I can't test most of this stuff. Also, the scenario end didn't even help JK/Vynora. MR actually obtained glimmersteel/ada from "Vynora punishing them". I personally would love if Libila won - maybe we could get smited and get ada/glimmer. The missions need heavy fixing. The statement before this quote insert says it all. We win the scenario and we get nothing for it. Someone else loses and they get good stuff from it. You shouldn't be rewarded for losing (Why Vynora attacked MR is beyond me [black Light should have been hit with that stuff]). However, if Black Light was hit with a meteor they would have more ada/glimmer so it is a catch 22. Wasn't from a mission. We have no idea what is does / effects and from what I can tell no one except Rolf knows.
  6. If the client calculates if you "hit" or not than ALL calculations would be done on the client side and the 'answer' would be sent to the server. I suspect Rolf would not implement this due to the following: those values can be modified. As well as it would release his coding to the open public. Anything involving real time actions takes into account computational power and latency. First Person Shooter (FPS) or Frames Per Second. Frames per second depends heavily on the machine and internet connect. Wurm currently utilizes the the most fair system across the internet. Most other sandbox MMOs also use this system. Twitch system games are heavily skill (player skill) dependant. I don't know if you are old enough to have played any computer game before cable / high speed internet. I use to play Quake II against kids at Universities (some of the first to get high speed internet) and it was difficult because I had to predict where the opponent would be compared to where they actually were located in the game world. It is semi fun in a FPS game. Its a NEAT idea for an MMO. However, the world doesn't have internet connections like South Korea (the country with the best internet in the world). We don't have 10 ms connections... It won't happen. Great idea in theory. Decent idea on paper - not feasible. I suggest reading articles on gaming websites which show the pros and cons between the two systems. Most people would agree: cons > pros.

  8. The mission rewards aren't necessarily neato special buffs. I agree its a bit long winded of a mission... But the gain is farther down the road (as long as what Rolf says is true).

  13. This would be ok if the animal was slowed while wearing it. For an analogy let me put a mask over your face and see if you can breath ok. Those types of feed bags are used only to feed animals (not while riding on the horse) if you would like for some method of how horses work in real life let them eat while being ridden. My horses always ate grass / whatever they could get near and whatever I would let them eat.

    Before we get to far off topic: There is already a delay when switching/equiping weapons. "Easy mode" weapon switch wouldn't change So back onto the archery topic !!! :)
