So currently BT infection wounds heal super fast if they are not larger wounds bad/severe. So 1 in 10 of your attacks will vanish within 1min. I confirmed this with Sindusk and it was on his list of things to fix. I also spoke to Noizhead who confirmed. Using the proper channels here for visibility in hope that this is fixed. Thanks.

Shield bash improvements are needed, I still think spell blocking even if it's a small amount. I never said completely immune, should fix the soul strength issue.

Please stay constructive, take stuff like that to skirmishes. Who says were not using spells/salves/jewelry?

You have to run like 20 tiles to out range it! It hurts really bad! It's OP don't you understand? You expect people to adapt but Sindusk completely changed PvP some ways were improvement and some weren't. Wurm is a very old game, you haven't been playing long so let me educate you real fast. Wurm was mostly melee PvP until this update, priests were a thing but situational. Acid imbue on a spear with jewelry is extremely broken but keep rocking it Vomusu, I learned real fast yesterday! Something like that should probably be toned down. Where is your bug report? Understand that the wizard meta is OP, instead of keeping things to yourself like that recent exploit - acknowledge the issues for the betterment of PvP as a whole!

Why don't you agree with spell blocking? Good environmental, and raid awareness and game play should be rewarded Angel. I know a lot of WU think i'm some silly freedomer with little knowledge of PvP mechanics. You can think what you want. It's almost a meme at this point. I know for sure I'm likely better than most players in Wurm who only play Wurm. I've played competitively in other games such as mythic raiding in WoW, raiding in FFXIV, FPS games, LoL etc. I have twitch reflexes developed from these games. My survivability speaks for itself. I also have a disability which I'm not getting into that limits me immensely. I have industry experience with gaming and mmorpgs. I think spell blocking is the best advice to the devs I can give. Doesn't have to be 100% either! Not everyone is going to block most probably wont. People still die to arrow related deaths. Reading the combat log, paying attention to calls, looking at your environment, making sure your not getting ninja'd by a wild stealth Rakki. It's all important. The current meta requires you to have high Soul Strength and you barley get any DR from it.

You know I've been using leather way before it was popular and the norm right even before the august changes? I mean I hardly ever saw you in open pvp when you were in TC even. So perhaps you never saw me using it? Idk. I was mocked a lot for it. I do test extensively Angel, I'm sure TC can confirm. So even before the august changes leather was viable as well, just in another way. To escape if you were being targeted if you were in chain/plate. You could out maneuver easily against a true strike, I did it a lot against Snoo/Max when they were Panda. Now it's just very good even better than drake some would argue. I personally don't understand why we use drake at all in TC in this new meta. I'm not a leader but they can probably confirm I complained about that as well. As have others. The casting bonus on leather is a remnant of the old system which I think should be removed. It's completely unbalanced. I don't understand why you guys defend a absurdly overpowered meta. For gear? To make money? It's dumb, it ruins the challenge. I'm fairly sure TC wont entertain it for much longer. Over and out.

Maybe you should educate us then, cause I personally feel like you had extensive private talks with WU. The fact is they picked up the meta faster than I've ever seen. Like someone told them exactly how things work.

Possibly but 20 wizards vs 20 mixed priests/nonpriests it's always going to favor the wizards. It's unbalanced because the non wizards can't block spells.

Truestrike is overpowered and I'd say it's in need of balance also. Don't take stuff I say/banter out of context. We should be able to block spells like arrows, all I do is run to get out of range to break the spell. The range is too high especially with things like inferno. Sure but doesn't make it fun. Tangleweave takes too long to cast even. You should remove at least 50% of damage and increase favor for damage spells. Or make melee stand a chance, that would involve giving shields spell blocking.

So if you play on freedom this 100% won't be a issue for you unless you enjoy sparring at impalong or something but if you play on pvp servers it's a real threat. The current PvP meta slightly forces you into a priest role, if you're not a priest you're worthless fodder. Melee combat isn't what chaos and epic is about anymore. It's about priest spellspaming your opponent with everything from afar, having no real threat wearing leather armour that gives a 30% casting bonus. The damage on these spells is over-tuned even still. I realize there was a recent pass at balance but it changed absolutely nothing really! There isn't enough diminishing returns and checks in place, and the resistances are too short. A group of 20 picks a target and tells them exactly who to spellspam. Seconds later that enemy dies. At least with archery you can block arrows, why can't we block spells? Heals take to long to cast and are easily interrupted by a super short cast of tangleweave, the placement of a LoF is so tricky and difficult because of this + the timer. All in all, Sindusk and others devs who made this content, I respectfully have to admit this is some of the worst game mechanics I've ever seen in a video game. A lot of the priest stuff was a improvement for the game yes. However, I feel like pvp got zero balance and it's just zerg storm of spells. Changing the gameplay like this was a mistake and should of stayed as a Wurm Unlimited Mod. Question for devs, do you play any other PvP games for inspiration or just Wurm? If I wanted a Harry Potter simulator I'd play one. Wurm PvP should be melee with just a hint of priests. Not priests only. Please balance PvP. The wizard meta is a joke. This isn't fun. Personally It makes me not want to login or play Wurm. There is more to address and hopefully others chime in and give feedback. Thanks.
