    In my time in wurm there is only on CM/GM that I have any problem with, ----------------------------------------------------, not in a way that harms the game, but only bothers people, they do it constantly, on an almost daily basis. Yet, for some reason, it is seen as "funny" by JK-chat on home, well guess what? Not many people think its funny at all, they say that because they dont want to get in trouble for stating their opinions.. which is stupid if you ask me.

    The entire team on wurm busts their . nonstop to try and help us, I've personally been helped several times by a few of them, and try to carry on decent conversations with them when possible (ie when people aren't cluttering up jk chat and making their lives extra-busy :P) and I've yet to meet one that I would consider in need of being "removed" from their position. But, I will tell you, -----------------------

    PS. Oracle don't let the haters get you down, I know its hard to manage a bunch of crazy folk of varying ages and try to keep some form of sanity, but you're doing a darn fine job thus far  :D

    I think the problem is, that this kind of stuff goes on so often, and in such volume, that anytime the servers go down we assume its down for the count. Which, to be quite honest, should be expected, as theres been more downtime in the last month than any reasonable person can ignore. I understand sometimes theres nothing anyone can do about certain network issues, but work apparently still needs to be done on the stability side, otherwise everyone wouldn't just jump straight to "oh the server crashed again".

    No harm or flaming meant in this post, please take it as my opinion.

    What I mean is, theres people paying multiple accounts worth of 1month prem + 5s, every month, and have been for a long long time.

    Many of you do as well, its not a big deal either way, its just gotten to the point where money is definitely coming in, otherwise this game wouldn't be online any more. Its pretty much that simple.

    UPDATE:

    Boat found north east of my home, along w/ Overkill and Astring's boat, whoever took these boats obviously found out they were caught ;D

    The USS Mary's Luck was stolen last night between 10pm EST (-5gmt) and 8am EST from the size 5 village of Outer Haven (59h 17v on thejanitor's excellent map).

    USS Mary's Luck, small sailing boat, 20ql, 0dmg, mooring anchor attached (at time of last sight), boat locked, permission only given to myself, no one else.

    This boat was constructed almost entirely by myself (Amikron), and took quite some effort for me, I named this boat after my 13 month old daughter Mary, and was preparing dye to paint it her favorite color, light blue. It was a personal triumph for me to finish it, and I was very elated yesterday to find out that by myself, with little to no wind, could sail @ an amazing 8kmh, WITH ITEMS IN HULL! Quickly, I assembled a mooring anchor (after several tries), and moored it along my purple beaches of clay, just south of Outer Heaven, a nice sight when I first get up to start the day, I assure you.

    When I got up this morning, I went to go fishing, before harvesting crops to make some meals for my day terraforming, only to find my boat, gone, vanished, nowhere to be seen! I searched around the area for quite some time, and finally after feeling defeated, I /dev'd. Wolfram, bless his heart, attempted to help me, by searching himself, and neither I nor the great Wolfram could locate my vessel. This only made my sadness greater, and upon thinking, a slight anger has begun to well.

    This has made me reconsider my previous stance of "oh well, guess i'll start another boat", and take a new stance:

    50C to the first person to find and report the location of the USS Mary's Luck. Screenshots of the boat, and the GM report, must be given, I will meet you in person at NT or at Outer Heaven, whatever is easier. This is a serious offer, I want this boat back.

    And to whoever took this boat: I hope you're happy, you made my daughter upset.

    Wow Shweet, that was funny, no seriously, I was laughing...

    Anyhow, the more important issue at hand with Wurm's Economy is properly using whats already here and coming in, not constantly adjusting little things here and there with what traders can and cannot buy. Although, after thinking about it awhile, due to the different time zones we all exist in, an Auction House style system might be the best idea, some sort of network via traders that would allow people who may not be on selling at the same time as me, a chance to sell me that pick I have been looking for, etc.

    My only hope would be that the AH would not cost to use unless it was to send the item (and this really should be a minimal cost), as taking money away from someone trying to make money kind of defeats the purpose.

    They have already made told us that they would like nothing more than to code away all the exploits and bugs, but time constraints prevents them from doing so (at least they cant do it quickly).

    Why? Because Rolf is only one man, and with the limited amount of cash coming in he cannot afford to hire another serverside programmer, even though he wants to.

    Those programming on the client side are doing so for free in their own spare time.

    Really? I'm done believing the limited amount of cash story, as in the past two months, I've personally spent money on 4 months of prem, and about 30 silver, and I know people (like for example father time) that put tons of money into this game on a monthly basis... At this point, I can't really accept the "limited" income answer any more. Yes, Wurm needs more money, but its got a bit more money coming in than most small budget games could hope for.

    Jeez maybe its because I have a family now or who knows why but I could never see blowing that much on a computer, your processor alone is more money than I spend a year in upgrades/parts for 3 computers.. Obviously its your money to spend but I spent that much money on my first car 9 years ago, and it was a 1993 Dodge Stealth! (which for those who don't know is a rather nice basic sports car)

    Grats on the overpriced hardware, either way  ;)

    I could see that if it wasn't happening long before, and only increased after the items for boats were added, the increase wasn't even much more so when the physical boats were released. I for one noticed an improvement in performance when they first were released. I still think this is more to do with coding than anything as all the projects going on previously didn't cause this type of lag, and lord knows long before boats came there was a ton of people with scrap piles from treecutting, digging, mining, etc.

    I really dont think thats needed at all, like I said, I just did my boat and the stuff was gone rather quickly, the lag is more due to the new code in game more than anything else. Wurm was starting to run worse long before even the items for boats were released, so I think its more than just the piles of things adding up.
