  1. Brown tones on the wall to match the roof a bit more would be best but I find the new stone *way* better than the old one. My comment on matching the other textures a bit better still stands though.

A+ for effort though, I will say.

I think most of the people here on the forums and in-game would agree that we appreciate someone spending so much time on texturing and what have you. Thanks again for the efforts.

Maybe you can answer this Kinoss, is it possible with the current client to make textures a *choice*.

IE. "Gold 2 Textures" and "Kinoss' awesome texture pack" etc etc in case people preferred the old ones?

  2. I like the Wooden houses though now all the other wood (fencing, carts, floorboards) needs to be dulled out a bit to match (dont even need to change the actual texture outside of coloring really) but I'm not a fan of the stone houses, to the point I'm considering tearing down my stone buildings and replacing them with wood. Please, if you're going to change textures, make them match whats either being planned or whats in existence. Some people like things to look nice instead of just function...

  3. I'm going to add more color back into the texture for both textures and darkening the stone texture a little. When I saved the textures I indexed the colors to cut down on file size and by doing that I removed a lot of the original colors.

Is there any way to make an option giving us the choice of which texture set we want to use? I've grown to like the wooden one, but I would really appreciate being to use the old stone house texture instead of this new one.

  4. I have to agree with Tamorlane on this one, while the new wooden house textures look nice on High (terrible on medium for some reason) but a little bland in color, the stone house texture is really just too much, it also doesn't match the surroundings very well, if this is a sign of things to come so be it but if so I'd like an option to use some or all of the old textures (maybe even bring back some beta textures as a choice).

The textures that didn't actually exist for the stone houses...

  6. But I really really do like the game, I just hate where its going as of late.

Please, refrain from repeating yourself when its not needed.

I would love to continue my support for Rolf and his product, but he's unfortunately taking his product down a road that does not find itself headed to "fun land".

  7. There is no reason to ever put a GM on KoS, apart from wanting a ban.

Well it is my kos list is it not?  I do pay real money for the silver I buy from the shop don't I?  I may or may not have a potential gripe with one gm or another perhaps?  Or perhaps its just an exersize of what few administrative rights I have perhaps?  A joke maybe?  I can add any other random plaer to a kos list as I feel like without any justification to the player, community, or anybody for that matter, as long as it is not along any public highway.  Why is a gm different from a player in that respect?  They're invunrable are they not?

At best, banning somebody for adding a gm to a kos list is heavy handed at best.  I mean can't they one hit kill light guards anyway?

Actually, that just gave me an awsome idea!  Maybe a player could set up a size 200 deed with heavies on it, and the models could be changed so that the heavies have a similar looking model to the agents in the matrix, and the gm could have like a model similar to one of the heros from the matrix.  Maybe a few gms could participate, and then people could come watch and record as all these agents come barreling out of a castle to fight our heros from the matrix and stuff.  And watch all those agents just get 2 hit killed or something.  That would be hillarious!

Actually they apparently don't even take damage, so it doesn't really even matter. This is more or less just an example of how Wurm Online is right now. Its rather depressing actually.

Edit: Shadow, thats a rather funny idea though.

  8. Thats an older map there, Daash, before Outer Heaven, as well as a few other settlements. (though I'm sure you know that) I'll look through my other drive tonight as I dont have the map saved on my new computer, I think I have it right before the map was taken down. (last update that I know of)

  9. Actually most zombification is considered to be a strengthening of the remaining flesh and bone, making a mindless brute. At least if we're going with classic "romero" style zombies and what have you.

But really, any excuse to talk about zombies is good in my book :D
