Its funny that the ideal of BL and how they work are different things, they seem to be a tighter group than any I've encountered in JK or MR, well other than the ones that had to flee due to how wonderful BL has been made now.

Outside of the odd glitches, you can't plant directly in a mine (tried this not too long ago). It simply doesn't give the option anymore. Tho as stated, you can get the deed benefits underground by planting it above the location on the surface.

I personally just think the title doesn't really fit the abilities, Champions of what? Making better shovels? I just think its silly to call them champions when they basically cannot fight unless they feel like risking one of there precious lives. I understand obviously why they don't fight, as if I had a champ I wouldn't be seen outside a heavily fortified village, ever.

30 Km/h for 5 minutes going a specific direction does not beat getting decent speed all the time unless going directly against the wind.

yes i think all requirements to become champions should be increased, but thats because i think there are too many taking the trade from us Home Priests ;P And giving them + 50 channelling (upto the max of 80 by becoming a champ) is a lot unfair, as i've only managed to gain 4 channelling since last may (only in the 72's atm) This. Either home needs its own champion variant, or we need less champs. Champion seems to be a bit out of place as a title for them as well, since most champs sit around enchanting items or dom'ing monsters.

That is why any self respecting JK-Home or MR-Home citizen will begin killing griefers instead of even calling upon a GM or mentioning it in KChat. If we just start slitting their throats, the GMs can spend their time doing more important work. Already has both. The summer hat is head protection (I think it helps against archery) and Santa has cookies on his table (at least I think he does). I require hats that I can create and mass market to the populous, and Polan requires Oreos. These are not hard requests.

Not going to get into a big thing about this here but what on earth makes you guys think JK wild folk would come to *defend* JK home, and not raid it themselves? Unless its stopped by game mechanics I highly doubt there would be much defending going on at all.

Back to the topic originally posted about in this thread, I see statements by oracle and other staff as of late as well as changes being made a sign of wurm becoming a less and less playable game for those who are not already deeply entrenched, or who don't have friends who have been playing a while. Others may disagree, and that is fine. I personally don't have the will to continue bickering back and forth with people over a lot of these issues, as obviously it does little good. Also, wurm needs 2 things: Hats, and cookies.

Randnar you know my deal on this game: Core concept is great, Core game itself is great, just a lot of mucking up has been done. (as well as many good things being added, of course) But agreed, I think the reason many of us get so heated about this game and its changes is simply because it *is* such a good game at its heart, and deserves support. You don't see this kind of support for a lot of indi/non-indi projects generally, that says something for the game. What, I'm not sure

This is exactly why we will now begin our own PVP policy. If griefers on home are killed regardless of rules eventually the GMs will just have to give up and let us PVP as well, since thats obviously the endgame here anyhow.

Vee, most indi games *HAVE* to get this level of interaction, otherwise they fail. If Rolf wants to continue getting even a modest sum in from his playerbase, he has to at least pretend to care about the problems in his game.

If this happens we better get at least the ore caps lifted on home, as currently home is basically wild but we can't fight back. Making home servers seem more and more pointless.
