You're a rancher or stock breeder? Your cattle and horses are always hungry? You find your grass or crop tiles packed dry every morning? You're tired of replanting grass tiles to keep your animals happy? Let your grass be enchanted! Any herbivorous animal can graze on enchanted grass. Technically, it will not last forever, because there is a small chance that a grazing animal will pack the tile - but practically it will last considerably longer than normal grass or crops. (If you allow an average of less than 1 animal per grass tile inside a pen, the enchanted grass can easily last for many months.) I will enchant your grass tiles in the southeast of Deliverance, within manageable distance from the Serendipity Peninsula. The price per tile is 40c or 80c, depending on distance, as shown on this map: I can enchant one tile per RL day. Contact me here (PM) or in game (Yaga).

Thanks for all the infos, guys. I already bought 300 beams - will probably buy more later. 5c per beam seems to be a good price, at the moment. But you also find bargains as low as 3c.

As of today, those lazy tower guards are on duty again. No idea what happened - maybe the latest server reboot? Guard strike is over \o/

I am not aware of these problems, so I would like to follow this up. Who has flickering/freezing problems with one of the latest versions? I don't see any flickering (maybe except while the list is filled with new data - which is OK), and it never seems stuck here. So, if some of you have these problems, please tell me, so I can change it.

Good to have you back, Wossoo! Good luck with your "new" job!

When we interact with items we usually right-click them and select an action to be performed. For frequently performed common actions this is not very user-friendly, so why not define a "default action" for an item and let us just double-click the item to invoke this action (instead of just examining it)? For example, the default action for a ladder (when you are standing at the lower end) would be "Climb Up", while you would probably want to "Open" a closed chest when you double-click it: ...

I am observing this for some weeks: In my vicinity there is a guard tower with 5 guards. When I call for help only one of the three groups (i.e. one or two guards) respond - regardless how often I repeat the call for help. The others can be seen standing around (sometimes close to the fight scene, as seen in this screenshot): You see that I called the guards repeatedly, and they responded in local chat. However, instead of fighting they just stand and watch! (Lazy guys, probably on strike... ) Most other guard towers work as expected - I only remember having seen this behaviour once or twice before. It is perfectly reproducable with this one, though.

Thanks. I'll try to consider your suggestions in one of the next updates. (I don't like that DLL either )

Whoa - easy, mate! Don't get me wrong. I appreciate any input and feedback, as long as it is constructive and based on valid assumptions. I'm not saying that your suggestions are false or your ideas are wrong - in my reply I was only trying to explain why I programmed the tool the way I did. Actually, your suggestion to use only the information present in the Golden Valley XML is a nice and easy simple solution for a tool which shows the number of players on each server and if they are up and down. Doing it like that would indeed result in a small and simple program. Great! However, WurmStatus does more than that. Let me try to explain again: In the past years we encountered situations where - the in-game time was significantly different on some servers (the difference amounting to many hours - probably due to synchronization problems) - the game servers themselves were up and running while the login server was down (i.e. you could play, but nobody was able to logon during that period). Therefore, WurmStatus was actually used as a diagnostic tool by some GMs, because it collects data not only from the login server but from all the other info pages as well. So, it is not only about a list of servers and their on/off status. (Did you notice, for example, that you can see the latest in-game status message of each server when hovering the mouse over a server name?) For example, in this screenshot you can see that each server has its own uptime (check Xanadu, for instance, which was rebooted 1 day later than the others): I still don't see that you can extract this information (Xanadu uptime, in this example) from the XML file provided under http://jenn001.game.wurmonline.com/battles/stats.xml. (Yes, I do know how to extract the information... ) I hope I was able to explain why WurmStatus does more than you probably assume it does. And, please, there is no need for non-constructive personal attacks: Let's try to discuss things in a friendly and polite way Thank you once again for your input and feedback.

- "Hardcoding": Dynamically processing the server list sounds like a good idea, at a first glance. However, the information WurmStatus needs unfortunately can only be found on the individual server status pages, which have unique URLs for each server. There is no consistent system in those URLs, so unfortunately there is no dynamic way to account for changes in the server list or for new servers - thus those URLs have to be hardcoded - There are reasons for collecting status information from various sources (one of them being that I want to display server info even when the login server is down) - The XML source doesn't contain all the relevant information needed. The list you suggest only contains the server names and the number of users on each server. WurmStatus, however, displays the last status message ("Shutting down in 5 minutes"), the server uptime, the server ingame time and the latest update timestamp. - I don't see how multi-threading would make this tool more useful. As for "Too much code...": Thank you for your opinion.

I need about 200 support beams, and would like to find out if I can afford to buy them. Please PM me with your suggestions.

Today's patch (http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/119977-mine-door-fix/) apparently changed the status information of the Epic cluster. As a result, as of today WurmStatus shows the Epic servers as "Unavailable". I have to analyze this problem and will try to find out what has been changed. Sorry for the inconvenience.

"Turn camera with mount/vehicle turning" toggle
Yaga replied to Warlander's topic in Suggestions & Ideas
bump. (I think this is an important change to be implemented!) -
There used to be about 20 active players on the peninsula (even more when we had that "newbie village"), but unfortunately many left us lately. (Some moved to Xanadu, others stopped playing altogether.) The area has about 8-10 players at the moment. Why do you ask?
