  1. The arguments I am reading really sound like that of Freedom dwellers, honestly, part of a pvp server if accepting that you will lose everything at some point or another. You say good job and rebuild, and this 'carebear' word you throw around.... I am one thankyou, I have and continue to live a peacefull existence on Independence where I know that my hard work will be safe, what I am reading is that people want this life style on a pvp server without the pvp? Understanding and accepting loss is part and parcel of Epic, I have lost many things that I hold dear to me, I lost gifts from someone that were sentimental to me and I will never see again, sure I was upset but that is the game. Accept and move forward, rebuilding can be fun, its about working with your friends as a team, laughing and crying together, winning and losing.
  2. A decent raid effort can already consume an easy 4 hours setting out and getting home again to log out, not everyone can commit that kind of time to it so making these uber walls would double the time investment rendering raiding no longer an option.
  3. I'm sorry lol did you just say real? *edit: In my view a real kingdom is one that knows one another and all work together as a team towards the same common goal, not one full of random settlements who don't speak to each other and try to make a profit from them..... Just my 2c
  4. I have never seen a need for the home servers, if you don't want pvp then Freedom is there for you. In saying that, there is nothing stopping someone solely being a crafter on Elevation. My suggestion would be to scrap the home servers as unpopular as it would be, and hey if I lived on one I wouldn't like it either but they just seem counter productive to the pvp game IMO.
  5. This would be no different than the 51 rivets required for leather barding. I don't agree to combining cold metal that's just silly but adding several rivets instead +1
  6. Blasphemy, burn her!! shuuuuuuun
  7. WKM!!! me either maaaannn, life as I know it is officially OVER :'(
  8. But who will protect us from the ever present and power hungry chickens?!?! I am afraid that Independence will no longer be safe while you're gone. Anyway, have fun mate, I will miss your wit in kchat for sure ;D
  9. 10e for two months of entertainment.....It costs more than that to see just one movie at what, 90 mins? I'm sorry mate but its a -1 from me :-\
  10. This is not just about the price of items but the location also, when a merchant is locked inside a house in the center of a fortified deed coupled with the items being listed for 50g it becomes pretty clear that the merchant is not there to sell anything. I understand the value we place on an item that we have worked so very hard to obtain, I also understand sentiment for other things which were given to us. The problem is that this is not Freedom, we play on a pvp server knowing the risk that we may lose things we hold dear to us. I dont believe I have been yelling and screaming, a mauture discussion with points exchanged from those for and against the idea, untill you made it personal yet again. As far as I am concerned, the fact that Epic is a PvP game is what dictates that merchants being used as storage and not intended fuction should be against the rules. Brqqq is right, any kind of price cap would make no difference here.
  11. When a merchant is killed by a GM, the owner of that merchant still has the contract and can replant the merchant. If merchants were allowed to be killed, then i'd say that any money on the merchant should end up in the owner bank and Items should be able to be looted (e.g. a corpse of the merchant has all the items on it). I dont agree that they should be able to be killed, this would be all kinds of trouble for legitimate merchants (despite the fact I dont see a place for an economy on pvp servers when merchants are limited to inter-kingdom sales and imo players should be helping their kingdom and not trying to make money out of them) I do however agree that this should return to being against the rules, living on a pvp server means you are at risk of being killed and losing everything you own...... unless it seems if you spend 10s and buy your items infinite safety. If this is ok, spending money to make things safe, then why do we not have an option to buy deed draining protection also? Like 10s per say 15 days safeguards your token from being drained? Because the idea is ridiculous, I will say it again.... PvP
  12. This and the fact that it does not insta kill people have both been mentioned many times
  13. Perhaps this has been kept under wraps because the water has some kind of mystical power and increases skill gain, only those whom are deemed 'worthy' may find the option to drink?
  14. Nawwww and you sound so sweet too, shame I play on Indy and Epic
  15. Personally, I can't stand to double click especially after a change sometime ago made it so it doesn't always work ( and that's not just my end I know other people share the issue ) so because of this I have activate bound to my spacebar and never double click anything so would seem like an awful lot of drag and drop to my hands and I don't want to always have my body menu open :-\
  16. Too late.. BTW there is no wild there is only chaos. Have a quick glance at the date on what you quoted
  17. Titles are always fun, but what would determine one a vet?
  18. Start praying to a god, you'll have a ton of iron coins to balance the deal...
  19. Animal stats

Are you kidding me? Maybe 1-5 and 10 at a pinch, but spiders are awesome FS gains for anything up to 50 maybe even 60 FS, its been a while but Im pretty sure. I can only assume you are not trying to tell me the low count on trolls, scorps, fiends and crocs is because low FS players avoid spiders.... I miss my greenish scorpions and trolls :'(
  20. I may be mistaken but I could have sworn you were a part of a village? Regardless, I have and continue to live a hermit lifestyle on Independence, yes I love it and my heart will always belong there but I have to say that epic offers something completely different. The atmosphere of joining a village where everyone is working together for a common goal is intoxicatingly thrilling, the rush of excitement when you are a part of a group going off for a surprise attack on the enemy or simply banding together to protect your turf when a raiding party suddenly appears in local.....words cant quite describe it, totally different playing experience than the Freedom Isles. There is nothing to say that you cant play both, all I want to say is DO try it, seriously, the idea of PvP did not interest me one iota, the only reason I went to epic in the first place was to provide numbers to a mate for a PMK and I had zero intention of sticking around after.....I somehow ended up in a PvP situation and got slaughtered but by Fo was it fun, long story short I gave it a try and dont regret one second of it. Come my children, give it a chance and if you dont like it then just ride a portal right back home, no harm no foul
  21. w00000000000000000000000000t!!!! I was beginning to think you had been smothered by all those meals and forgotten about smashing little Erik. 70+ FS, 80+ drake, large maul with 100nim and DD LETS GET THIS DONE!! Also thank <deity of your choice> that I have a public holiday that day ;D
  22. Aye, now that I'm back at work 2am is not possible for me also
  23. Personaly I think this is a terrible idea, everything in wurm needs to be worked for and if it all came easy then what is the point? Skilling up HFC solves your nutrition problem. A 1ql hot meal will give you 60 nutrition, even a brand new player can achieve this, sure they may need 6kgs to fill them up but if you're talking about eating a raw fish that wont fill much either and is just lazy, put your fish to better use with a veggie...problem solved
