  3. This theory has been around for as long as the rare mechanic, new toons have always seemed to have more 'luck'

  10. As I said, the original example was the simple version, it works the same for 5 noobs in a sail boat vs 5 vets in a sailboat, or 13 noobs in a knarr vs 13 vets in a knarr. None of these noobs are 'going it alone'
  11. The example I used was the simple version, you can put two noobs in one boat and two vets in another if you like and the outcome currently remains the same. There is no reason two or more noobs cant be sailing wherever they like. Im sorry that you seem to have had a bad experience but that is not something that is generally tolerated, at least not in the kingdom I come from or by my friends. I don't really care how the skill is gained, I gave my reason for not wanting the skill at all.

This wasn't about noobs being spawn camped which pretty much never happens except for in the minds of people who want to spread fear and misinformation, this is about the same reason epic has a skill curve, so that new players can participate in pvp quickly without feeling too disadvantaged, adding something skill based to a simple thing like sailing is counter productive to giving new players a chance, but thanks for the anti pvp attitude.
  13. don't really need any information, any increase is an advantage and even the smallest difference of speed means the difference between life and death. Current speed being base makes not a pinch of salt difference. If you consider that boat speed is based on number of passengers currently, this means that one noob can sail just as fast as one vet and the vet can never catch them - now if you throw skill in and even the smallest difference means the vet will catch the noob given time and lets face it, no one gets on a boat in wurm without time up their sleeves.

  17. Or remove the ratio that is not needed on pvp servers and revert the waiting 24 hours after giving birth to get knocked up again change. Breeding was fine before this.
  18. Terraforming disasters?!? It just occured to me how close deeds are to each other on freedom, I wonder how many one single terraforming event could destroy. Well thanks to Rathgar and his brilliant idea we can find out!
  19. Probably more because it has been deemed OP dozens of times before when other things have 'leaked' through a house or mine wall so unsure what would make this any different but who knows.
  20. I'll admit i pretty much always scroll over your posts but this caught my eye, you must be confused with drake that has the same damage reduction as plate, addy has the same as scale and glimmer/seryll are higher.

Freedom and Epic both already have naked armour, its called oakshell (robes too if you want to get technical) Im not sure that your attempted cheeky post makes sense sorry, I wasn't aware that Freedom was lacking armour completely because they didn't have moonmetal on all of the servers in the cluster.

Archery isn't just for horses and there are just as many people using mauls and axes as there are using longswords Even after the last weapon buff that saw sickles being used in pvp and med mauls got given more damage that is not consistent with the small and large on the bigger scale of weapon types. As for shields, every type is used its a preference thing just like weapons. Back on topic for the guards I think they are fine as they are now, they were not a large threat no the change imo was more about making the game enjoyable and not getting frustrated with odd mechanics that get in the way of fighting people because that's what we want right? PvP and not PvE on the way. If you want to outrun tower guards on a cart because your idea of fun is looting bsb's then more power to you have fun with that, perhaps you would have more fun if they killed you while you were doing it? The threat and thrill should be the players, not the guards.
