  1. Server numbers are up after 1 good patch. Game Chest will probably be like, MORE MICROTRANSACTIONS NOW THAT GAMES NUMBERS ARE RISING! Ok, hear me out Game Chest. I know this is tough for ya'll coming from the gambling world.. but let me dumb it down. If you support making good endgame content like the recent patch, people will want to continue paying you to play your game. Then us long time players will be grateful to you because we love the game alot more than you do.
  2. Hm... Someone should start a company and we all kickstart/donate/whatever it to buy the game back from Game Che$t and do it like SWGEMU does it. Then we could really go far with the game. Greedy gambling company doesn't invest into game play and just more into microtransactions and suprise it's losing money. wow.
  3. Actually a meaningful and great update!! Love to see WURM making some forward progress!
  4. I made this concept years ago, still think they should do this to improve new player experience as well. lol Imagine walking up to a tree, and just clicking chop and it auto-equiping your axe and start chopping without the tedium of equiping it first?! lol
  5. Reworking player actions is the best thing you can do with the skills rework. Create minigames for some skills, I know it's more work but make the mini games skill based and not about mind numbing repetitive actions. Let blacksmiths get high ql items for being better at blacksmithing and not just repeating actions over and over. Keep the current system in place for the neckbeards who hate change, but add another crafting table for the skill based minigame for crafting and make it engaging! This is coming from someone who's played on and off since 2007 and seen hundreds of players come and go. Also, make people have a reason to keep playing on pve servers, like village wide goals and perks. Or maybe crafting specific quests that give you bonuses to improving or rare chance generation.
  6. This is stuff we've been telling the devs for over 10 years, and somehow they still don't care and rather go into details of horse breeding than helping people learn the game so it doesn't have to struggle lol awesome review.
  7. Nah, didn't require "14 years". Stop trying to troll and contribute to the conversation in a meaningful way. I feel like they were still trying to do good things with Wurm, releasing Jackal for example. It wasn't perfect, but it was a step in the right direction. Since then there's been nothing, even after all the steam release money rolled in. If there is a good valid reason for lack of development, then just tell us, we want to support Wurm. But ###### like this G-Loot just shows how far they've strayed from Wurm's original vision.
  8. Nice fanboi deflection. Fact is I suspect Game Chest to implement low hanging fruit strategies to milk this community for all they can while investing minimally back into the game we love. We haven't seen otherwise since the steam release. I'd love for someone at Game Chest to actually prove me wrong. I love this game, been in it since 2007 - but the recent patches and lack of communication from Wurm's actual leadership has me concerned.
  9. Sure, 0 to "enter the competition", but will definitely require premium to be competitive?
  10. Well, we know that Game Chest is after our $ and not really reinvesting in the game as much as they could be. This is probably another money making scheme to suck more $ out of us by hyping some kind of new server... like "new server X, must pay for premium on it to compete, you could win prizes etc, first person to 90 skill gets 100euro" etc. Makes sense with the updating of achievement tracking lately.
  11. Sooo... looks like I was still right. lol, although they finally contracted a developer which is a positive sign!
  12. Your opinion. They could literally copy the tried and true tab targeting combat loop in most other MMOs like WoW and it would be a super upgrade from what we have now. We have MUD combat system at best, with a few interface buttons so we don't have to type our commands.
  13. Needs more UI elements to let you know how the battles going, reading the combat spam output is really irritating. Why not overlay on top the screen an arrow of their new direction of attack? or improve animations to see which way they're attacking? Would be nice if they're trying something that you could react to in bullet time. This update seems like a minor patch onto an already outdated system.
  14. https://imgur.com/a/tY4LzKR If anyone's wondering lol
  15. Prayer is the most ridiculous excuse for a gaming mechanic is the history of gaming. IT'S LITERALLY A LOADING BAR SKILL THAT GIVES YOU AN INCREASED NUMBER (sometimes lol). Fix that, not the fact that it's ###### boring as hell and can't get any more boring.
  16. Nice! I hike/scramble alot of mountains too. Where is this?
  17. Boom, even if they only made $50,000 in Wurm since NFI launch, and god knows they easily hit that with how many Pay 2 Win people there are on the new cluster, I had a guy drop 7 gold into our deed's token on the first few days, and he had plenty more. I'm sure he wasn't the only one - I hear some team on pvp server bought a 600x600 or something sized deed right off the bat too. The fanbois need to start realizing that there was alot of money made, and alot of money not reinvested back into the game we love. They will keep up the Pay 2 Win milking of this game (if moon metals wasn't more proof), if we let them. Next thing you know we'll get daily login rewards lol.
  18. That's fine and all - I don't mind waiting for updates if they're good and great. Regular updates on progress is vital - look at star citizen, it's been in alpha FOREVER, but they're clear communicators and have a defined roadmap and goals to meet. That keeps their players trust in RSI. Game Chest is doing the opposite, I wouldn't be surprised if they're funneling money from Wurm into other projects they feel like be more profitable. There clearly seems to be no solid leadership/ownership on Wurm since Rolf left, seems to be a bunch of people who periodically pop in and give us minor updates to give the illusion the game's still being supported. They fact that they recently enabled moon metals from Marks store shows that they're implementing more strategies to milk the playerbase for more money/pay to win instead of keeping moon metals rare from rifts.
  19. Back on topic. I've been around wurm for 14 years, and have been through the motions. To me, this all feels like game chest keeps trying to milk the game for money without having to invest much back in. The reason we're not getting roadmap updates is because there are none, if there are any, it's probably 1 guy doing most of the work himself. I'm sure if the dev team was excited for new features they were making, they'd send previews to Retro to engage the community with and keep us excited. Alot like they did with bridges, new GUI, and most other new wurm features. Samool posted about hiring more devs a while ago - we didn't hear anything after that either. LIke RainRain said - it's been dead for months now. The fanbois who think 100 people servers and "niche" is fine - are just lying to themselves. We all want to play the Wurm Online we imagine the game could be. Wurm has so much potential even in this era, the only things holding it back are it's legacy codebase and it's leadership's investment in further development. Perhaps custom dev on Wurm Unlimited will be the real future of Wurm, like SWG Legends and all the added content the devs of Legends have added to base SWG game.
