  1. Should it be considered as a rule addition as a punishable offense if someone does edit a quote post to say something that was not said? To my knowledge this was just done the other day in the Bunny Ear suggestion post, by a community assistance member. Made a quote post and edited it to say what they wanted it to say, then claimed it was obvious mockery of the person. In Wurm it has been said by staff and many players, that our reputations are our own to build or destroy, but if someone else is able to quote another player to say something that they did not say, with the possibility to hurt another's reputation, should that be an actionable offense?
  2. So by your logic, because the same guy has been in charge of art for 10 years, if he decided to add in space ships, lasers, televisions, fighter jets, and what ever modern item any person can think of, by your logic, because he is the one doing it, it is "Immersive" so do you think it is his world to do as he wants and we should all sit back and accept all of his art as "Wurms Aesthetic". I would hope that any artist who is designing something for a paying player base would want honest feedback, good or bad, as long as it is done in a respectful manner. After all, the player base is the reason the game still is able to employ any people on the team. I would hope that they would want to know how their art is received.
  3. First thing, in the past, the announcement post was the place to discuss these things, as it is done with nearly every single patch announcement, good bad or indifferent, it is the place that this discussion has always taken place concerning that announcement. Second thing, in the past, if as you say it was not the place, the posts that are there are merged into the correct place where they should be. In this example, the forum was locked and then every post deleted and not merged into a new post. That can come across many people as an intent to silence people that don't agree with a point of view. Regardless if it was the right place or not, the rules were not being broken, people were voicing their concerns in a respectful manner and the thread was locked and posts deleted, that simply is not right and as others have posted here makes them afraid to comment. When you have the dev team interreacting with the player base in such a manner, it makes it scary for a paying customer to feel comfortable to voice their thoughts without fear of some form of lashback, and this event of locking and deleting those posts does not help ingrain trust into the community. My two cents Happy Wurming
  4. Active prices on NFI for full sets are still 5-6g for drake sets and 12g for dragon sets. I know of sets that sold for that during this last month. That is if you purchase a full complete set. Sets can be put together for cheaper if you take the time to source the hide/scale yourself from sellers but that will typically take you many months to do so, for savings of a gold or two.
  5. He shows one as being Mature, that is much younger then old. Also how are we supposed to know its "combat potential" if that is the actual method used.
  6. So can we get some kind of update on this. I feel like the photo of the skins is misleading as you show it on a table. So far I'm unable to place this thing on anything besides the floor. If we are not able to actually decorate with it, what is the point?
  7. I've not seen a wild horse on Cad in many months, but I see sheep/rams/bison/pig/cow/bulls all the time when I'm out doing treasure maps.
  8. I had this happen earlier today when I had a tall book shelf in my inventory. I had it active and tried to repair a piece of my armor, and it would not let me until I deactivated the tall book shelf.
  9. Delete all pvp servers and everyone can just sit on the forums and pvp here like this. You all talk about wanting new players to come join, but with the amount of negative attitude and behaviors on display in the many different pvp posts...why would any new player want to come and pvp in Wurm. I'm often asked to come join pvp, but I can tell you that this is one of the main reasons why I wont, you all just destroy your self from the inside out.
  10. That's why we don't have the voting website any longer lol
  11. Plastic flamingos to decorate our gardens and deeds!
  12. Hi, I would suggest sending people to the page of the actual creator of that content, instead of someone bootlegging it for their own benefit, and not even giving credit to the creator, instead lying about what they are actually presenting in that video. https://phildragash.carbonmade.com/audiobooks https://soundcloud.com/rootntwig/popular-tracks https://www.youtube.com/@roottwigsoundscapeaudioboo4066/videos
  13. I can say that if the new gems go live the way that it appears the current design is, I won't be using them. There is no reason for me to precast on gems just to sell to players, especially new players that this is being targeted to, just to have those new players feel scammed by not understanding that they can pay 1-2s for guaranteed 90+ enchants instead of taking this gamble. The lack of understanding of how priests and enchants work is already very low for many players, especially new players. I know if I was a new player and I was sold a gem enchant from someone telling me that there is a chance for a 100+ enchant, just to get a 25 enchant, not knowing that the 100+ enchant is actually a less then 1% chance to even get, I would feel scammed. It is RNG loot box garbage that I will not support. One thing that I think that would be a possibility concerning the gem enchant idea, is if it is to target new players as you have clearly stated, to have the gems drop off of mobs, or the goblin camps with the enchant power possible being equal to the gem quality level. Cap that gem quality level if you like, or just make 100ql gems super rare, but if a 50ql gem drops from a mob, then you can use it to have a chance for a 50 enchant on your item. Each tool/weapon enchant can be put into the pool to be drawn from when the gem drops. So you may get a WoA enchant gem, or you may get a Bloodthirst enchant. It would be random from the pool of possible enchants that is chosen to be allowed. Go further and add the gems to treasure maps, or the mobs that spawn during treasure maps, that way players of all levels have the chance for them.
  14. Great first time video! For someone who does not pvp, I've only been to Defiance one time, why are so many people using crow bars. I thought sickles were the meta there, but I see several of you beating people with crow bars.
  15. The road map looks good, thank you for the update! My only concern is the new enchant gem idea. Enchants are such RNG even with high channeling, it can take dozens of attempts to get a 90+ enchant and the odds are still very high that you will get a sub 50 enchant. I cannot see how anyone would want to purchase or trade for an enchant that is a pure gamble. Unless there is a way that the enchant can be guaranteed to be for example a 70+ power enchant with smaller odds of going to the max limit. Its to much like a loot box/gamble and I think it needs some real fleshing out to be of any real use. I know I would not feel right selling someone a gem for a chance to get an enchant, when I can just sell them the enchant itself. I don't like wasting my coin in game and I don't like to waste new players coin either. Happy Wurming!
