  1. Instant girl winner, thank you kind sir.
  2. Pretty much how I felt about it too, but all my friends play it religiously.
  3. http://www.huggies.co.nz/baby-care/plunket-newborn-baby-photos/media Then click "Introduce Your Newborn Birth Annoucement 5"
  4. Thought I'd share: I'll get a .gif up soon
  5. Or when it's valid because someone sold out. I know loads of people who use the term sell-out not because of jealousy, but because someone sold-out. Unlike what you may believe, giving up your principles for money is not a good thing. So in this case Notch is not a sell-out. He went on his own to develop a game by his own principles, he took a risk to develop his own game using his own ideas and creativity because he felt he had no control in this one. Just because that idea is more popular with the masses does not mean the developer is a sell-out, all it means is he got popular and hit the right niche.
  6. flightsims with keyboard ftw
  7. The only reason they even hold this contest is to just get some more people to sign up for the escapist, by the looks it's worked wonderfully for them. Also love that Mojang is now beating BioWare too. This is hilarity at its best.
  8. Haha, playing like MGS is fun. That ending was pretty epic, left it open for a co-op crysis 3:D I wouldn't call going into armor mode and just taking on a group of 5 guys at once only punching them MGS style. Screw that insta-kill bullcrasp
  9. This is just too good http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tournaments/standings/5 Thread here: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/539.273631-Round-5-16-Mojang-AB-vs-1-Valve I bet Valve wouldn't mind too much if Mojang gets them, I mean, everyone knows what Valve is about and how good they are - Mojang on the other hand are a new company just starting out and have already hit the millions mark. If I were Gabe, I'd be hella proud of Notch, turning down a job at Valve to chase his own dream and actually making it. Good on him.
  10. So uhhh, 70% of my campaign kills were melee. Awesome.
  11. Works fine for Entropia. Considering I made a small gmod-stranded type gamemode in the original Cryengine using only flowgraphs, I'm sure it's going to work fine when you get actual modding and coding in.
  12. NoX used to be like that, used to be there a lot.
  13. That looks awesomely hilarious.
  14. Waves and downtime? Aw man I loved it when it was just constant hell and kills = upgrades. Always had the few people going it alone to try get good weapons and always getting slaughtered.
  15. I was on those forums for a while, they are only there to test your limits on what you can and cannot prove via semantics, they're all trolls. It's quite entertaining and fun, also helps debating skills.
  16. Heh, bluebrain project but in a few lines of code.
  17. Buying it just to satisfy my zombie killing urges.
  18. Even if the game is inspired by Yahtzee Croshaw? That's the only time it doesn't apply
  19. A 6.3 magnitude quake struck at 12.51pm, 10km SE of Christchurch at a depth of 5km; a few months after the 7.1 magnitude quake that they are just recovering from. There were no deaths in the first quake which struck in the early hours of the morning, so far there have been about 65 confirmed deaths from the quake today and many people are trapped in collapsed buildings and under rubble. The damaged caused in this quake is greater than the larger one experienced late last year. 20. You mean MM:H? lol That's going to fail hard mang
  21. I wouldn't call supplying a game people want as milking, you're complaining about a sequel - I'd hate to think what you think of writers and such that regularly have 5+ books in a series. Take the Sims for an example: Each and every expansion from the previous games could have been a part of the latest one, but they don't do that - because that leaves them with less ideas to come up with to milk from their players. World Adventures is the new Vacation/Bon Voyage; Late Night is the new Hot Date and Ambitions is the new Open for Business. There's no reason they couldn't have included all the previous ideas into the base game of Sims 3, but that leaves them out of pocket in the long run. It has been a few years since Portal, so people will still find it refreshing after all those bimonthly Call of Duty releases.
  22. Well now you're just going to generalize it down to it's basic core, why do we even have shooters? They're all just ripoffs of Doom and Wolfenstein, so why do we need more? Because that's what people want.
