  1. You don't realize that it does not matter if people realise they MIGHT die... The fact is they will always die and they will always not stand a chance until they too meet those ridiculous requirements. I'm not trying to pick on you or any wurm team member but none of you actively play or try to run your own groups and recruit so you don't fully grasp how demoralizing consistent deaths are and there is nothing you can do about it till you have enough people meeting the requirements set forth by game itself. Its only natural that some people will want to strive to become the best and right now you basically have vets playing and hardly any real newbs. Its not that groups want to keep the new players behind its just 1 death or 2 deaths and losing gear that takes a full day if not more to replace starts to get to people in a way they start to say what's the point. It would still be nice to see a real comment from you @retrograde about the no brainer comment and why you think that and also what do you propose?

  3. Often times when we players make suggestions the Wurm team asks for more detail rather then being vague. It would be nice to know why you feel it would still be a no brainer? Furthermore would you not agree many of these suggestions are better then What we currently have? With every path having something to call its own and making slight changes like every path gaining a maximum of 50% of SOTG DR you now have a much more balnaced system with much less of that no brainer decision. Currently as many still have said, although yes the 30% max DR seems to have been a great change but its still very dominant as a path. Couple that change with a progressive system and you now help newer players/groups stand a much better chance to have fun skirmishes at the very least. These sort of changes don't act as a nerf to anyone they simply help create that very needed balance and potentially adds some flavor to a field skrimish.
  4. Not sure why some are making it harder then it really is. If u can't suicide then u will need to know where your at. If you can suicide let me know and I can pick u up gold coast or landing. I would be on a freedom alt so no need to convert or anything.
  5. Hacking is not creative. Spying in any sort of way is also not creative in an MMO. IRL you would have consequences but in a game there is none. It should be a rule against it by the GM team as well as the rest of this going in. Play the game its meant to be played for enjoyment not ill intent.
  6. Would it be possible to have all names of this plague posted? In the PSA there's mention of other toxic players were also banned just because. Obviously that is truly not the case and the just because was because of actual reasons. It would be nice to know who was banned and just like the short detail showing the 3 names banned for hacking the same 1 line detail for the other banned players would be nice. It might paint the picture of things not to do such as deliberately cause ill intent towards PVEers and pve deeds and so on.

  9. Its pretty simply really. No need for pages of wording to come to 1 simple conclusion. Removing restrictions allows everyone to make their mains priests which equals loss in premium. Ok that's fine I can see why that shouldn't be changed. But why shouldn't a priest be able to do everything a non prem alt can do? Why does a player HAVE to use a non prem alt to do the simplest of things? Its understandable to not be allowed to imp but really why are all the other restrictions needed? I'm only talking about what you can do on a non prem alt and nothing more.
  10. No one is saying the rest of meditation is perfect, but I'm sure everyone could agree that the abilities each path has are somewhat fun in their own ways. I disagree with path of power being worthless, its still very important to have the stam advantage even with no so dominate specials. A path of power player could stay in the fight longer which if everything were to be balanced just a bit better more fights would end up being longer field fights as opposed to gate hop fights. In that scenario it would be greatly beneficial to have a POP player in the field able to keep pressure on longer. All I'm saying is the discussion seemed to still only stem around SOTG but we can't only be looking at Sotg and say nerf nerf because that won't solve anything. Each path currently how they are have some sort of good ability, perhaps not perfect but with slight tweaks to make devs lives easier they can be. Knowledge with the overall long haul skill gains and no skill loss on death, combine that with 15% DR at lvl 11 and I would say that is a viable option and one that wouldn't surely make me think twice about using. Hate with 15 mins of use of rage and the passive ability of offensive direct spells immunity combined with 15% DR to me sounds pretty good but some of you bring up a good point and about its 1 time use vs a consistent 30% DR ability Sotg has, so how about some tweaks. First remove the ability to dispel a meditation path ability, with rage no longer being affected by dispel it now has a purpose combine that with a 9 hour cool down. It does not make it over powered but it now makes you look at it and think its a very viable option. Power with the increased stam plays a role in longer fights still has the ability to use specials regardless if they are OP or not some are still good to use like the ones that make the enemy lose water and food. Power also has the elemental immunity that has a timer perhaps a tweaked timer and combined with 15% DR at lvl 11 would surely attract its own playstyle of people. Love with its healing hands double heal and healing from LT could perhaps use a bit of love and be given a 1 time use with cool down x amount of hours the ability to do a light of fo, combined with 15% DR could sound like a decent path. Insanity gains an ability like everything else has on an 18 hour cool down a 1 time use per cool down non dispellable stone skin. And 30% DR which its the only path to maintain that.
  11. What makes it a no brainer? At only 15% overall advantage I would agree it might still be slightly favorable but not at the expense of being a no brainer. All other paths at this point would have a purpose. At least that's how I view it from seeing other abilities used in battlefield.
  12. The short answer to this is yes even at 30% SOTG is and remains the dominate path. There is no argument against this being truth. The only scenario is perhaps like a fight agasint our chief who is not sotg but stronger toon then most and it literally toon many players sotg and non to take him down but that is not a likely scenario for newer players/groups. So although extremely highly skilled / high str toons can turn a fight while not being sotg there are also god mode for these toons if they are Sotg so it still remains that SOTG all by itself has extreme dominance overall over all other paths/bonuses. One idea sounds like it could be cool which is giving every path some % of DR as they level up in paths... Perhaps to a maximum of 15%? 5 % gained per milestone 4,7,11... While the tanker class insanity gives 5% more per level. If this were to happen there would be a need for some other ability for the path of insanity.. Such as a 1 time use every 18 hours stone skin? Basically insanity feel no pain when active and works just the same as stone skin next 3 attacks miss. This would more or less coincide with how all other abilities work. To sum up my suggestion. All paths at milestones level 4,7 and 11 get a 5% of DR while Path of insanity receives 10% per milestone level. Path of insanity receives at level 11 a stone skin ability used once per 18 hours to work like many other abilities from other paths. Now you would have an actual ability for path of insanity and DR as its primary reward. But the overall reward will only be 15% higher which is still significant but not dominant as it is now then all other paths.
  13. Ok. If the large metal shield gains are accurate speed wise 32 skill in that amount of time seems to be on a positive side. That's more or less what you would have been pen training the correct way with high enchants and nutrition .

These suggestions always come from the players at the tippy top of the scale where they don't care so much how the population is affected all they care about at the moment is they are the strongest and want to get the most kills while they can. With that said I can see some changes being made where I suggested a minimum distance being at least 50 tiles from an enemy deed or 75 tiles this way its not very affective agasint deeds but something can be done about open world. Your point about chasing people in hota to a hop though is one of the main reasons why it was scrapped in the first place so if any new changes were to be made they have to be more creative.

  17. This would be one of the greatest changes if actually made. The overall reduction would stay the same but newer players would feel a sense of accomplishment while getting there. All meditation paths should be looked at and done in this same way so that while skilling to 70 for the 7 months to 1 years it takes you, you can hit milestones along the way. Bring some excitement.
  18. This has been suggested in great detail before that would work in the sense of actually being able to so things with limitations. This is probably one of the best suggestions for a fix/change to priests... They should be allowed to play the game and just be able to enjoy most of the games content. A priests specialty is that of being a priest and being able to cast but why can't a priest made a basic item or build a crappy house? It makes no sense that priests are that dumb in wurm they dontn know how to do anything outside of cast spells. Perhaps as a priest your non priest skill can cap at 25? Still allows you to do things at a much much slower pace and any items you make would be at max 40ish ql so wouldn't hold any value but it would be useable. This would allow people to play a main priest and still have a place to live MADE by themselves without the use of a free alt. But again this argument has been made before and it fell on deaf ears.

My suggestion is be allow lockable minehops to occure no less than 50 max 75 tiles outside of a deed this is so that the main concept of allowing them is for wilderness or a sort of near enemy deed retreat/encampment. Within that 50 or 75 tile area the doors act as they do right now but perhaps make the timer 15 or 20 secs. For the off deed mines outside of that buffer range we can call it allow them to be lockpicked. Allowing this type is system will promote more wilderness stealth traps or traps set at common hunting ground areas all locations being primarily outside of deeds. This system would also work well with changes to how things like rifts work if removal of mission progress were to be done. Areas like volcanos or just outside of HOTA area. In the future more additions can be added around this ability to give more reasons for players to travel through the land mass.
