  1. I want to set up a server with the same parameters as the live Wurm Online servers.

Obviously I want to set the "Skill gain rate multiplier" and such stats to 1.0, the character skills to 20.0 and the other skills to 1.0, but is there anything else? What do I set the "Combat rating modifier" to, for example?

Can anyone who is more familiar with WO write me a list, please?

    Thanks. :)

  2. I like that your map engulfs my Alliance as well.

No worries, as we don't intend to compete. OP simply says "Above is the region we are limiting ourselves to in order to preserve the neighbourly vibe. If you have a deed in the highlighted area, please contact..." It is not a declaration of our "turf" or anything like that. So with that said, nice to meet you neighbour.

  3. The trolls have recently received some unintended changes when uniques were tweaked. Maybe the trolls inherited this ability from them? The combat rating uppage was reverted but maybe seomthing else wasn't. I'm just speculating, though.

I haven't seen anything mentioning archery specifically.

  4. You know when there was a slight pause after you finished your pen with steppe, I was hoping a bunch of Bison would appear...

And thats not my tent, is it?

Haha the bison (or horses) was the plan, but the creature spawns were borked and it was only days later that I got the single horse I haul my cart around with now.

And yes, that's your tent! Damn squatter. ;)

  5. Can you tell me more about your client settings and your computer hardware?

I don't want to go into too much detail, but if you can run two Wurm clients fine, you can time-lapse just fine, generally. The screenshot-every-x-seconds method Wurm contains is nothing like the FPS hit you'd get from Fraps or similar programs. This has been my experience.

Im going to try this out for myself. Mine wont be as action packed because most of the floorwork on my place is done =p

Even the least action packed videos can be made action packed with the right music!

  6. Concrete seems to be a logical choice for creating new pseudo-rock tiles. I've never had a need for this myself, but I can plainly see where it would be useful to have.

Concrete is just hard enough to make that roadbuilders would (rightly) opt for a proper road texture. Seems perfect to me.

  7. I am having trouble retrieving my mail.

The other day I moved my main over to Xanadu. Before leaving, character Roame was on Exodus and character Rushmik on Deliverance. I mailed a few items from Rushmik to Roame, then switched over to Roame and set sail to Xanadu. Now that I am on Xanadu, the mailbox tells me I have no mail. Do I need to travel back to Exodus...?

    Thank you.

  8. I logged in to find it was spring, so here are a few snapshots for us to look back on in the future:

Valley of the Damned contains at least 70% of the alliance, and their harbor shows it!

If anyone from the alliance has WIP shots or other cool local things to share, please do! I especially want a picture of a certain Champion.

EDIT: Here's a few more from around the alliance:

  9. Do you mean logged in with an alt on the secondary client or can you have more than one client logged in to the same character?

Sorry for being a bit thick about this.

You'll need one character per client. For example, I play Roame and go about my business while my other character, Altroame, watches from afar.

    Wow!  That is awesome!

Did it really take 6-7 hours to get there?  Is that normal to get to Xan?

And what was that wicked looking character that visited you out in the ocean?  A GM?

    Cool vids, dude!  Thanks!

Now that I think about it, I started about 12:30 and arrived at 18:00. In the middle I took a break to walk around the block (sore butt), and then there was that wrong turn that I took... If I were to redo the trip it would probably take 4-5 hours. :)

And yes, that was Enki visiting me to help me realize I am still a noob. I might still be treading water if he hadn't come.
