  1. So if you ran your GPU solid for TWO months straight, you would finally make 10 silver. 70 iron x 24 hours x 30 days x 2 months = 100800 iron which comes to little over 10 silver. By that point, the card could be burnt out. And you'll end up spending more money then the 10 silver was worth just to replace the video card. Food for thought.
  2. Good luck with that. I wanted to try to do the same thing. It's starting to look like this whole thing is a scam. The only one who seems to be saying this works out for them is Odi. No one else has stepped up saying this works out for them. I mined for 4 hours and only got 66 Iron. At that rate it would take me 9 months to get 10 silver. It's not worth it.
  3. I have the GTX 660Ti with 3 Gig Ram on the video card by EVGA. It has 1344 CUDA Cores. I still only got 66 iron after 4 hours of mining. I at first didn't think this was a scam, but now i'm not so sure. Obviously I didn't get what I am owed. This is my card on newegg : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130811 I have a friend who let me use his computer and he has the same exact card. We bought ours at the same time. On his computer it only came up to around 71 iron after 4 hours of mining.
  4. What Odi is saying in his past two pages of messages is.. give up if your using NVidia video card. It's not worth it.
  5. Yes, there is still 3D software and games that will take advantage of it. Although I agree, it is very little. But it works great when you do get software that take advantage of it. So what your saying is that since BitCoin decided to use OpenCL, that it doesn't work on CUDA as native, but works on AMD video cards because it uses Stream Processors that the OpenCL was made for ? So does this mean ALL NVidia cards are screwed ? Oh and that AMD HD 6450 I mentioned that I had in an earlier post, still doesn't work. I still get the message "Missing OpenCL". I am trying to find a way around this. You said you got two gold coins. How long you been mining to get two gold coins ? Remember it takes 100,000 iron to get 10 silver. And for us who can gain only 66 per / 4 hours .. it would take 9 months to mine that 10 silver. NOTE for those on INTEL : I am on the HD 4000 on another computer. IT said I would get 30 iron / PER DAY. This is totally not worth it on Intel graphic cards, so don't bother trying. You would end up burning it out.
  6. Exactly my point.. mine is giving only 40 an hour with my GTX 560Ti. And after 4 hours I still only got 66 coins. None of this adds up correctly.
  7. It's not a scam. But it will take you MONTHS before you can gain any kind of decent amount of iron with it. To make 10 silver you need 100,000 Iron. My high end NVidia video card roughly produced about 40 iron an hour for me, or so it was telling me. I tried it for 4 hours but only got 66 iron total after four hours. So I think it is broke or you could be right, maybe it is a scam. I'm actually not sure anymore. It would be great if this gets fixed and I can gain enough iron to pay for my account each month. But, after doing the math, I can see this is never possible.
  8. Interesting since you must have the OpenCL to run it. OpenCL is an NVidia interface for the CUDA cores. So how does this work for AMD ? I have an AMD Radeon HD 6450 sitting here. I tried to install openCL for AMD and it didn't work. Told me I needed an NVidia card to install this. Won't install without CUDA cores. Any ideas ? And how much faster does it mine with your AMD ? And what AMD card do you have ?
  9. I just tried this with my GTX660Ti @ 95% GPU usage and left it running for 4 hours. I earned ONLY 66 Iron ?????? It takes 10K of iron to match 1 silver. So at this rate, If I was to mine for 24 / 7 for over 9 months, I would finally make 10 silver. Your video card would burn out within a few months of this. The money you spend on a video card, you could have paid for the silver for a LOT LESS. This is not worth it.
  10. For me it's not about the Cost. Heck I paid 40 USD on the game "Darkfall - Unholy Wars" which brings just as much enjoyment to me as WURM does. AND it has a monthly fee of 15 USD. The dirrerence for me is, DarkFall allows me to use my credit card without paypal. WURM can have me back if they offer this option as well. I would rather play WURM. I know I brought this up earlier in this thread, but no one seems to care about us non-paypal users.
  11. I would come back to wurm and play. I would happily pay the 21 American monthly, IF there was another option to pay with credit card that Paypal has no access too. As it stands, you must still go through Paypal to use a credit card. Before the Terms of service changed with paypal in 2012, I used to have 4 paid accounts. Once Paypal changed their TOS, I stopped using paypal all together. Imagine if I had an alternative payment method, I could be paying for 4 accounts still. Read this article why a lot of companies are loosing customers. http://annystudio.com/misc/losing-customers-because-of-paypal/ This is one of about 4 articles that I have found by doing a simple google search. Point is, I personally wont use paypal, but i'm not saying take it completely away, since others still want to use it. I just want the option to use my credit card, and not have interfearence from paypal. As the above article points out, if you use paypal just to use a credit card, it's still signing you up for paypal. No matter how you look at it. I want to use my credit card without all that extra hassle. And I don't want to have to sign up for anything further. I can see the wurm team is doing their best. But please, look to add extra payment options for us credit card users who do not like paypal. Thank you for reading, Jack
  12. Client Version : ( LWJGL+AWT ) 3.1.73-3956 [unstable] OS : Windows 7 X64 Ultimate RAM : 8 Gigs Video Card : NVidia GeForce GT 610 w/ 2 Gigs Ram JAVA Version : 1.7.0_05-b05 ( Both 32 and 64 Bit ) Problem : I see white dots all over. If you notice its in the water and mountains. When I had the ATI / AMD video card I had never seen this issue. I just installed and updated Graphics drivers with this new NVidia video card. Screenshot Here : ( NOTE : This forum has an Alpha built into it, so please disregaurd the bleeding background through this. To clean that up, click the picture itself and it will pop up. )
  13. Yup... bumpy.. but I made it back in.
  14. Yea.. apparently we found another bug.
