  1. Archery can be good for pve (it just has its limitations). In freedom I grinded my FS from 20 to 50+ through archery only and in epic I used archery again to advance from 4fs to 40 (it was also the "low-cotton" alternative for me as I wasn't producing enough of it at the time). I still use it in freedom for champs or when I run out of cotton and I need to kill something. The main problem is making and retrieving the arrows but as Gary said making 40ql cedar arrows and not hunting in forests are perhaps the best solutions. Distance becomes a problem only when you try to use options like "aim-at-head/face" etc. I would only add an advice about using longbows. If you use a longbow you may need to spend some time to choose the best position from which you will be shooting due to its distance related limitations: 1. Your target may start wandering around while it gets hit and if it is close to a mountain(or a valley or any place accessible by it but not you) it can climb it and escape with your arrows with it (I have lost 40+ arrows in a champ troll this way). If it is an aggro you should be able to reach it in time and draw its attention to you to stop if from doing so (and then you should be able to run away again and continue shooting at it once it stops chasing you). So making sure that your target is not too close to a mountain or that it won't be able to reach it before you reach it can save you arrows (a lot of them if you do little damage per shot). 2. If you hunt in places that have small hills or any ruins you should avoid having these obstacles getting between you and your target as you may end up getting event logs like this: [00:28:13] You start aiming at Venerable champion son of nogump. [00:28:13] The dusk makes it harder to get a clear view of Venerable champion son of nogump. [00:28:17] You fail to get a clear shot. which would mean that you have wasted your time by drawing the string but not being able to shoot an arrow at all (doing so may give mobs with regeneration or tough armor the time to heal the damage that you did on them and that would increase the amount of arrows that you will need to take them down). These two problems may arise with any type of bow but they can be more frustrating when you use a bow from considerable distance(and this is usually the case with longbows). oh and last but not least: Do some research/tests about the armor/hit-points of your possible targets in order to know how many arrows you may need to kill it. If you run out of arrows and your target is still alive and you can't finish it in hand-to-hand combat that would mean several lost arrows. Crocodiles and scorpions have tough armor and you may have several arrows glancing off their armor (and some of them breaking) and doing no damage to them. trolls are soft targets but they have the regeneration and higher hit points than most creatures.
  2. If it's yours and you lost it pm me.
  3. You CAN use them against aggros even in freedom but it's probably not worth the resources and the time invested in making them(a large rat stepped on a 25 ql stick trap a few minutes ago, triggered it and just got to "hurt", a similar ql trap had been triggered by a crocodile a few months ago but the crocodile got no damage). Another disadvantage is that once you set up a trap it will decay relatively fast (at least if it is off deed) so this makes them rather inefficient as a tool for dealing with aggros.
  4. I have 7k corn and 7k potatoes if you want them all I can deliver them (in Independence, Deliverance or Exodus).
  5. I have 5k 38ql meat in independence. If you buy all of it I can deliver it too.
  6. I have the same issue with sleeping while on-deed (I reconnect). It looks like that there is no problem if you try to sleep off-deed.
  7. Anothernoob 70+ FS, 70ql large maul (I'll probably have it imped to 80 until then), 70ql studded leather I'll try to be there

  10. The problem seems to be only with the inventory. The event logs still show the correct status of the lantern. It looks like that if I login with the lantern in my inventory its name will be stuck to describe the status that it had the time I logged in(if I had logged out earlier with the lantern lit it will show "(lit)" etc). If I drop the lantern and pick it up again the problem gets fixed.
  11. Level 12, knowledge - looking for a boost / willing to Enlighten
  12. It also looks like that there is an item ql cap (I'm not sure if there are any items that are not affected) for non premium characters. I have a 60ql needle and a 30ql needle and it looks like that they both give me the same success chances to make sheets(63% at 20 cloth tailoring). So if someone is not planning to switch to premium it will probably be a better idea to invest in lower ql tools or items that he may need but he can't make (e.g. chain jackets) instead of buying high ql tools.
