All I got from the rule clause was that one should after a queue of actions has finished or before queuing more, that the action is still valid. e.g if you mining by queuing actions you should check the wall is still there before you queue more.

I play wurm fine from the end of 11km long copper line via BT as well. Only get like 0.2 Mbps down and less up, but wurm does not use much bandwidth after the initail world load.

Almost all the recent problems occurred when players have chosen not to be safe e.g. through deed settings. They may not have intended to but the game can’t tell the difference.

Yes but which one? In Off-the-shelf software which wurm is, this idea does not work.

The "right" way is subjective in certain cases e.g. inner walls. You should think about the problem before criticising.

I had this issue on a Windows 7 PC once (with another Java based program, not with wurm). http://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/2577795 was the cause so make sure you update your OS. -
They have every right to to dig and take the dirt there. If you did not want anyone digging there you should have deeded it.

Turn off the "Release OpenGL context each frame" under the compatibility to prevent crash. Still a bug though.

Texture binding (swapping) is an expensive operation as it involves a state change. Thus avoiding texture swapping will have a positive effect on performance. Not to dismiss the huge amount of work it is to produce wood textures for all the wood types for each wooden object. So overall its far more efficient to do it in GLSL. -
Even if the priests were exactly the same other than in name people would still complain of imbalance and bias.
