  1. Checking today - the "duplicate" meats only seem to be in inventory and the satchels have more items in them. Guess that was the issue. False alarm! Thanks for reply
  2. Satchels (2) in my horse's saddle bag ceased working mid hunting trip. At the moment, any items I drag into either satchel (except by moving items from one satchel to the other satchel) are being mysteriously disappeared. I am getting messages indicating transference, but the items are just gone. [23:32:28] Dancegrey gets a meat. Taking meat out of satchel into my inventory has now resulted in duplicate meats (I believe "ghosts") - showing in my inventory and satchel simultaneously. Unsure exactly what triggered this - I had been hunting and dragging butchered items from corpses into my horse's satchels (there were two contained within the saddle bags at the time) and burying corpses. I didn't notice anything off until I started to suspect my first satchel may be full- there had been one eyeball (one of multiple highlighted items) that did not cross over into the satchel with the other items so I drug it again. I thought to the second bag but nothing appeared, I figured I misclicked. I believe this is when the satchels became black holes. If a dev would like to come look - I am on Independence. I am leaving the two satchels and items on the horse, and the duplicate meats in my inventory for the moment (If I even could remove them, I didn't tinker with them). Horse : Dancegrey (Venerable), on my deed/in my house doughnut hole. (Picture of what happened when I tried to drag meat from top satchel into my inventory)
  3. Locath - I made the test meal and it did not give ML it gave me Longsword which is what wurmfood says it should be for me. [21:54:57] You think the insect meal might give you more of an insight about longsword! Generated a botanizing recipe on azure to test and that gave me body stamina instead. Input the ingredients into wurmfood to double check and also says it should be botanizing [22:07:57] You think the fowl meal might give you more of an insight about body stamina! Botanizing ingredients used: chopped Belladonna chopped Corn chopped Garlic chopped Parsley chopped Sage chopped Tomato Ground Cumin minced Fowl Walnut
  4. I'm not sure if you are asking if I obtained a new "real"/*asterisk* affinity in ML- I would LOVE that, but no I have not. I had also not chanced upon a ML affinity food on my own prior - and had only now tried generating one with your tool figuring it was easy enough and a good enough timer to bother. It probably does not help you (assuming there is any help I can actually give) but when I mentioned I made a fresh meal today and it also turned out nature it was only with 7 additional ingredients instead of 19. I didn't bother to "save" those ingredients to compare, but figured with all signs pointing they way they were odds were if the new recipe did not work it likely was not the case of some rogue common-between-dishes ingredient. Though, if the count on wurmfood.com comes out with the same result as your calculator that is probably a stretch anyhow unless there is something amiss across the board that hasn't come up as an issue to anyone else yet. I'd mention that given my "starter"/test meal affinity is pickaxe that my end "offset" would be .. I believe +8?.. which might help with attempting to "reproduce" but I'm sure you already took that into consideration with your tests. I suppose if I come into any other's that don't work I can get you an update. Anyhow, the tool is still awesome and thank you for making it.
  5. Darn it.. figures it would be something silly on my part. Up to this point I believed the toon was not bugged but it must be. Interestingly enough the calculator I found to say if you are bugged or not does not list ML as an affinity I can not get, but no guarantee the tool was 100% accurate anyhow (or maybe if I cook a nature meal I will get ML! lol). All the other skills it does list I don't care much about. I also cooked another freshly generated meal from the azure tool and got nature again. Now I guess I must think harder on ticking that box or not. I didn't want to.. I have wine affinities I really like and are quite convenient... *rattles fists in air* why rng gods, why?!
  6. This is a wonderful tool thank you! I've been using it and had no issue until today - when I was having the wrong affinity turn out on the meal. I repeated thinking perhaps I had mixed up something (this time took a picture before cooking) and had the same result! Either I'm gone loopy/blind or maybe there is some math wrong for an ingredient? I was supposed to get mind logic but got nature instead. I know the calibration entry is correct and I had cooked a successful "beverages" meal just before generating one for ML. Cooked in same oven and frying pan as the beverages meal had been.
  7. Information regarding non-premium cap on characteristics being 30 rather than 20 needs to be noted as applying for PVE and not PVP. This is especially important to make note of as there is a risk for pve players that may sail to Chaos with no issue only after to discover they lack the skill to pilot their boats back. According to patch notes: 1. Update characteristics page: https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Characteristics Current wording: " If a character was once premium and then loses premium, their characteristic skills will drop down to 30 (or remain unchanged if lower than 30); however, you can not raise them further until becoming premium again. " Suggested correction option: "On PVE: If a character was once premium and then loses premium, their characteristic skills will drop down to 30 (or remain unchanged if lower than 30); however, you can not raise them further until becoming premium again. On PVP: Characteristics remain capped at 20. Crossing from PVE to PVP will enforce this cap immediately." 2. Add a warning to "notes" of all relevant boat pages: https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Boat https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Small_Sailing_Boat https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Corbita https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Cog https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Knarr https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Caravel WARNING: Non-premium accounts should avoid crossing to Chaos on boats requiring >20 mind logic. Characteristics for non-premium accounts are capped at 20 rather than 30 on PVP, meaning you will lack the skill to pilot the vessel.
  8. I've been having to use the Low Mem version and it was working (not great, or close to the old client, but "eh.... okish.. maybe") for me until this weekend. Now it is not playable. It was said "64-bit Java is required for the 4.0 client unless you use Low Memory" but now I am constantly crashing. I have a 64 bit system. I did install 64 bit java. But what if I still need 32 bit java, then how can I run Wurm since it seems to refuse to use 64? Earlier, bat files were mentioned but now it was said not to use them. At this point the only solution being thrown out seems to be "get rid of 32 bit java" Here is my most recent crash: Edit: For below response:@Samool- thank you, that seems to help so far. For anyone else who isn't savvy and hasn't done a bat file before:
  9. Without texturing ("original"):
  10. Cool But I have to "aw " over old server maps not being readily accessible to "the masses". From time to time it is a nice walk down memory lane to look at the old maps and remember where you lived and what you did.. or if you come across another "ol' timer" to both look in the maps and compare where you lived and whatnot. I've even run across people and "reunited" when we both realize we were the same area at the same time. That's always fun
  11. I think though to be careful that the versions are fitting to the historic period of the game. As an example- picture #1 of the bricks looks very much like modern bricks. Not what I would expect to see in the middle of Wurm. A more period-appropriate type of brick - sure.
  12. Please keep collision as it is. As Gary said "Quality of Life" -- for all of the reasons everyone else has mentioned. Silly me I had assumed the removal of tree collision was an intentional improvement to the game... finding out it is planned to come back is scary.
