  1. I get the same error on win10, my friends installed Wurm on their laptop with win8 and - it does not work with Java 8 update 141 either. I think the only people who keep playing are the ones who do not update java.
  2. Ok, I tried the unstable client. It does indeed fix the shaking moons problem, although my character keeps shaking fast while sailing. I also noticed some animations are very odd, like the shield on arm moving on itself, or upper part of chain coif detaching creating a crack in it while the character stands idle and breathes. Also the distant trees and grass keep flickering as I move around. I think this unnatural character shaking in the moving boat looks like idle rocking boat animation which becomes faster when you start to move, so when you sit in a boat idle you slowly rock on waves, when you move - you rock faster.
  3. Ok, but how exactly am I supposed to do that?
  4. Hello While playing on Xanadu I noticed the moons are shaking when I'm rowing the boat. My character is also shaking while sitting in the boat. When I travel by foot the moons are also shaking but slightly less than in boat. I also noticed holding lmb makes the shaking a bit less violent.
  5. People like and continue playing Wurm because it is complex, not because it is casual. Wurm creates unique dynamic situations from random factors which is the best emergent gameplay in any MMO I have ever seen. Tree collisions is one such factor. Ok I don't get this. Developers add a new factor to complexity which will in turn contribute to new emergent gameplay, and you don't want it because it makes the game 'more difficult', because you need to actually go around the trees in the forest instead of passing through them? Sorry, it does not make sense to me. After playing WO for 4 years, and experiencing tree collisions on WU, I say it is the greatest addition to the game ever. Very immersive.
  6. I completed the hedge maze and I tagged 5 or 6 statues in cave. I don't usually jump to conclusion, so I wandered there for a few hours, completed some of it and then decided it was stupid. I had no problem exiting it via notice board which doesn't change my opinion about it. My opinion is only that - my opinion, you liked the event, and I think it's stupid - deal with it and move on, no need to make it personal.
  7. lul willpower It's all about you being narrow minded - new characters don't have all these options. You probably also don't know they also don't have much karma. I also don't use suicide as I loose items, skill, but mainly from principle - I see it as an abuse. But I have noticed that many new players (maybe alts from epic) have lost their pottery bowls, ropes and other starter items in maze, in need to instantly quit the stupid event.
  8. I did exactly that - used the sign to get out. And no, I don't think I "could have teleported out 'anywhere' along the maze".
  9. Compassion? Lolwat? I didn't wander there on my own, I did it with a friend, and no, it was not that 'hard'. Stupid yes, and annoying too. Well, I didn't need anything from you, so leave your caring compassion for someone else lol I completed the maze and tagged almost all statues in cave, and then I just quit - not because it is hard, but because its a stupid waste of time - instead of exploring Xanadu we were teleported in some stupid maze and wondered there for whole evening staring at walls. My friend didn't like it either. From the description of the event I thought it is some kind of cross-country exploration and orienteering mission (the need for a boat and a horse lol). Even random missions like searching for a traitor creature are hundreds of times more interesting because they involve exploration of the world, and not some stupid maze and compassion.
  10. Wow, that was the most idiotic event I ever participated in any mmo I ever played. Events are in general stupid, but wandering for three hours in a cave where I can't see drek is.. wow, that's not only stupid but also quite annoying.
  11. Hello, is there any server currently running this mod?
  12. Please change the title 'Master Mason' to 'Grand Master Mason'. Thank you.
  13. You mean this one? You are required to complete the main floor house plans before you will be allowed to build or plan another one. I did read it several times. And while you read it too, you didn't bother to actually understand what you read (another 'helpful' person I guess). Build or plan another one what? Another floor maybe? Also "complete the main floor house plans" has nothing to do with building the walls - only with finishing the plan, which is 'Finalize building' (plan). The information about this restriction is not actually on general page, its on build house page - (to be able to plan more than 1 house, you either have to wait for server reset, or finish the first floor walls of the current plan). And I did miss it while I read this guide. Its very easy to miss it in a wall of text. That's why I suggested it should be an ingame system message, according to wiki there is no such message right now. The best solution however is removing the restriction on deed - as it really solves nothing about the problem with abandoned deeds and slowly decaying ruins on it, as the restriction is not about 'building', its about 'planning' more projects on deeds at once Unfinished plans vanish very quickly even on deeds, so you don't even understand the suggestion, and yet you vote -1. Bravo.
  14. Well I 'am' a new player, who thought of me while implementing this dumb restriction and not writing anything anywhere about it? I payed for the premium, I payed for the deed, I spent 2 months levelling the ground to build my outpost, I mined for stone, I spent hours in 3D planner to draw and calculate all materials I needed, I had epic plans - all ruined because of this secret rule I didn't know nothing about. That is the dumbest possible sollution, if there is not enough space - add some. When I started on Desertion ruins were not my problem. The problem I really had - is players building long walls offdeed around their deed - so that no one builds near them. Very large areas cut off from exploring it - and its not the new players who build those, you need to go around and around and around those to be on your way and think to yourself - why this veteran-player-dumbass built all those walls - he doesn't even use this land, its not even his deed.
  15. And how is that a problem to you? Why do you even care who builds what on their deed? Ithink that moron who told me about the 2 building limit had simmilar 'protective' mindset - he saved Wurm from me building lots of buildings on my deed, in fact creating the problem of abandoned deed, instead of resolving it.
  16. It doesn't really hurt anything, the problem you don't seem to understand, this rule IS NOT WRITTEN ANYWHERE DAMN IT. I played with a friend, so I planned the buildings, as I got higher skill, and he built it. I asked in the help channel why can't I plan my third building, and some moron decided to pull a joke on me and told me there is a limit on the number of buildongs you can build per toon per server..
  17. I quit playing half a year ago (in august 2013), because I could not build a 3rd house on my deed - it was an outrage ( I mean I should build what I want and how much I want on the land I payed for). I was also told in chat that I can only build 2 houses per server. Now I find out there is some kind of stupid writ per day limitation I didn't even know about - although I read all the guides on building houses several times. What a pity I didn't see this information before (it should be ingame, in the building interface, not in forum thread which is so hard to find, or at least there should be some ingame message clearly stating that you should wait for server restart to start another building). It won't save my deserted deed, it now lies in ruin, my mine occupied by freaking giant champion scorpions, but at least other noobs won't face the same problem I did and won't quit playing because of it. The best option however - is removing this writ limitation on deeds as TS suggested. If not for this thread I would still be thinking I can only build 2 houses per server, so thank you Slickshot
  18. man that sounds awesome! It may create something simmilar to DAY Z feel, when you are always alerted and watch your back. And that special moment when you suddenly notice someone in the woods with the corner of your eye, and the first second you don't know whether he is hostile or friendly.
  19. I don't think you will listen to any arguments, cause all you want is safe farming and casual pvp on a separate instanced 'fair' arena
