  3. a Stalker MMO would be pure win IMO, hard to do but still
  4. the 'Zone' was believed to have been caused by the chernobyl NPP disaster. The Zone After Chernobyl was evacuated, the area around it was silent - untouched by man and reclaimed by nature. Trees grew up amongst the concrete edifices of Pripyat and wildlife found new homes in the devastation. With no reason to enter the area, mankind left it alone - a nagging . to the conscience that refused to go away. However stories originated. Reports of strange creatures, twisted by the consequences of the accident became commonplace. Some even spoke of abandoned treasures within what came to be called "The Zone". (this is where clearsky will take place if i read it all right) In 2006 disaster seemed to strike again. A bright light originated from the old reactor plant and people speculated that a second explosion had occurred. The Zone doubled in size, Military patrols increased as the authorities seemed more determined than ever to keep people out. However human nature prevailed. Curiosity and greed led to the phenomenon of the "Stalker" - part explorer, part mercenary, part treasure hunter. These brave and foolish individuals started entering the Zone to see what could be salvaged. What they found was beyond imagination. Stalkers bought out wonders and horrors. Strange irradiated objects called "artefacts" fetched huge sums on a thriving black market - somebody somewhere obviously thought that these artefacts have some value. However the risks involved in retrieving these were huge - mutant creatures roamed the landscape, ready to feed on anything they encountered. And horrific pockets of energy known as "Anomalies" claimed the lives of many unwary Stalkers. It is now 2012. The Zone is full of wonder and death. Stalkers, mutants and the military roam the deadly landscape of the Zone. It is into this world that you will take the first faltering steps toward becoming a Stalker. the stalker found in the beginning is you, and you were in a 'death truck' I.E body removal truck, so you were considered dead. play on dannyboy and discover the story. the atmosphere in this game was captured perfectly i feel. especially if you had read the book and watched the movie first. there are a few annoying bugs to be found, but overall awesome game. i found in vanilla you gathered things too easily. money too fast, and over abundance of ammo. in the new mod i'm playing, things are far different nothing better that being down in a lab somewhere, cornered by 2 bloodsuckers, running low on ammo, out of medkits. truly gives you that feel of being a stalker. the weather effects are very good and the anomalies are dangerous and move after blowouts. I've beaten it quite a few times. am now playing the Oblivion lost 2.1 mod. good stuff there. adds back in some critters that didn't make it and stuff, vehicles and a few other things, blowouts etc. creatures behave way different as well, overall good times. everything is totally different than vanilla, so perfect mod IMO 2.0 had issues with death from hunger on sleeping, but all good http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalker_(film) the Movie. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roadside_Picnic the book. they are also making a new version of roadside picnic.... god i hope it doesn't suck. hate to make this post a tl:dr but here is opening video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpMR9mF6gU0 spoiler videos are there also so be warned

    Would you rather us just not mention the flaws in the system no, i am all for fixing flaws, percieved and real. however i personally feel this would have been better served direct to oracle instead of public posting. just MHO tho.

  9. wurm does have a steep learning curve. however, you only need to return to see the guide once. after that type /mission from any location

  21. actually, i do like this idea. might actually get rid of some of the forges left out in the wilds now "hey guys, i need a forge for my house, come help me carry that one out of the weeds there" instead of pushing for days or people building a new one for simplicity
