Does an item in a container that is in a offdeed house decay faster than in a container that's in a ondeed house? Does an item in a container in a house result in slower decay than an item that's not in a container in the same house?

Just wanted to throw my opinion into this; I have made articulate posts as well as occasionally trolled people. Not gonna lie. And while I respect Bob's insights on some issues as he is a long time veteran, it's too simplistic to say that someone offensive on forum is offensive ingame. I have NEVER EVER said something offensive ingame. Annoying perhaps. But not offensive (eg; cursing or racial remarks) So your logic is quite errr illogical I won't name names, but I know of a couple players who say and trashtalk all sorts of crap ingame that will annoy the hell out of you. But on forum, they are pretty restrained. And on voicecomms, they are very pleasant as well. TL:DR: Our virtual communication style is as multilayered and complex as our human selves. No easy way to pigeonhole the issue. BTW- yes, EVE does allow for linked accounts. However, we are allowed 3 characters per account. So we play with the main one but we can troll anonymously with the other. That doesn't stop the EVE forums from being one big trolling fest. The only difference between the Wurm forum and the EVE forum is well nothing really. In EVE, you get trolled? Who cares. You move on and won't even remember who trolled you because of the bigger community and ingame content to focus on. And to be quite candid about it; the players in EVE are alot more thickskinned about things. I have a hard time saying the same thing about Wurm based on my observations. On Wurm, if you get trolled, flamebaited, or accused of something? Hurt feelings and animosity develops. Sometimes, but not all the time. Why? Partly because it's just a smaller playerbase of 3,000 people. Smaller sandbox and community means you can only go so far to avoid these people, if at all. TL:DR: The smaller base of players here magnifies and exagerrates certain issues be that trolling, lack of pvp, or whatever. PS: Could be just me but I feel like the forum has gotten way more hostile in the past few months than 6 months ago. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I think the playerbase here is just getting really weary and probably on the edge of revolting completely due to the perceived lack of game progress on Wurm.

How true. Because it has been recently revealed that Reliable MR Raid Infoz is actually a forum account that is linked to that of another well known player. He's been using that account as a proxy for all sorts of duplicitous acts and further his own agenda on Wurm. Follow the conversation as the information unfolds before you. This same well known player who who leaked Rolf's Wild ideas on a public domain despite Rolf saying not to thus causing further Wild drama and forcing Rolf's hand with respect to making a quicker decision on Wild than needed to which then leads to the crappy iteration you have now which is called Chaos. And this is the same person who now uses his buddies from Wild to come and take over Freedom servers by hijacking people's events to slay the dragons to make more drake sets in so that he can make more money thus continuing this vicious cycle. So yes, I agree with Roman. Greed and arrogance causes problems. I tip my hat off to those players who manipulated the entire community including Rolf. Sorry, but the truth hurts. Get rid of drake sets.

There is a reason why the Exodus community is the most popular freedom server today, as measured in playercount. It is because the community will help each other out and will unite if and when it needs to especially against 'outsiders' who are known for an unsavory playstyle. You have your hands and have exerted influence in practically every server now. On Epic, you've used an alt as a proxy to take over a kingdom that isn't yours in order to solidify a NAP fest which has resulted in further stagnation of PVP over there. On Wild, you have your Pirate Posse to take care of things over there. They've now come over to Freedom to only cause more trouble as evidenced in these this weekend's popcorn drama. And you even have a CA trying to exert influence within the game and he is caught admitting to being associated with people who 'stole' a previously organized event. I'm voting you as 2012 most influential Wurmian of the year. It's just too bad you don't take your energy and intelligence and apply it to something more productive. I have no doubt that this won't be the last time we hear of you guys on the Freedom servers. And stop it with the trolling meme. That's so old and practically everyone trolls anyway. And while everyone trolls, only a few have added value or helped the community rather than try to destroy it. I let others decide who has done which.

Yes, I'm familiar with most of the guys in and around Meggie's area. Practically everyone has kept true to the spirit of the Pact. I nor those allied to us are not here to nitpick nor police people to the point it causes strife. We just merely remind newcomers of it and how it's a win/win for everyone. I am certainly not disillusioned by the inevitability that it won't always be like this. It is what it is and we enjoy what's given to us for as long as we can. We all play in one big sandbox. Constructive suggestions or trolling - it all gets ignored equally, sadly enough. Sadly yes. Anyway, putting trolling aside, let's try bring this thread back on topic with this idea I have; Perhaps a Wurm Council that acts as the middleman b/w the community and Rolf. The Wurm Council would have players who are elected by the community to represent their needs and act as council to Rolf. They would represent both PVE and PVP servers. Benefits and Details: Rolf uses WC as a sounding board for advice rather than the entire community and the endless flaming and trolling that is bound to occur with each thread which derails the focus. WC is comprised of respected players from the community that have shown their competence in the past through forum participation. A more focused development gameplan than the current 'stuff', to put it kindly. Overall, a better Wurming experience for the general community. Before anyone dismisses this idea, it is not a new concept at all. I got this concept from EVE where they have something called The CSM; Council of Stellar Management. Every year, the players run for a position to be on The CSM. They choose to run on a platform. This platform is a part of the game that they think they can improve or at least be a voice and represent that segment of the community. Popular vote wins. The CSM has about 9 openings. They are in constant communication with CCP (the company that makes EVE), take notes and eventually releases the minutes to the community so that they are kept in the loop. It's done well and have shown results year after year. Of course, there are issues to the CSM but that is beyond the scope of this conversation. On that note, enjoy your NYE. Happy holidays! I saw some discussion about how 2-tile wide roads might have to open up to outsiders because it's considered public use. That probably affects your suggestion. I just quickly glanced through the discussion so don't have a full grasp of the situation. Generally speaking, South Ex hasn't really changed much since this Pact's creation nor since the server opened up. It's still pretty sparse around Sheriff Mountain (furthest mountain in the south). Some of the deed's along the southern shore are active and some have disbanded. There are mostly mega deeds along the coast of The Sound. I guess the rich folks live there . lol. And the shores of Fraser Bay has been populated with friendly locals.

If you're going to sit here and troll people, at least post what your main toon is on Epic so we even know if you bother playing the same game as everyone else does. Post your battlerank so we even know if you've attempted to kill or be killed by someone. You say it's only been 2 months since Epic opened. But Epic has been in development for 3 years and this is the piece of crap that comes out. The loyal playerbase deserves better than what Rolf has given. Rolf erred big time in this development of Epic. He thought up the 2x skillgain and PMKs as shiny new objects. All nice elements, certainly. But he keeps looking for the Jesus elements; features or mechanics that will put the game over the top and wow people. Instead, he forgot that people still hate trying to lay seige to fortresses of doom or that they still gate hope due to their risk aversion for PVP. He also forgot to fix pvp mechanics so that the fight isn't predetermined. He forgot about the fundamentals and did not iterate on existing game design issues. No more Jesus Elements. Fix existing game mechanics. It also doesnt help that it's such a small playerbase on Epic. Every problem and whine is magnified and exagerrated by 10x because of the small playerbase. Some of the issues can be over looked if you had a playerbase that was three times the current size. I swear the Wurm (PVP) playerbase is either the most gullible group of gamers or the most loyal. Because it takes a certain kind of person to invest years of hope and patience into a concept and developer who hasn't shown any understanding of how to create a true Sandbox concept, at least with respect to PVP. PS- Yeah, I also notice the 1 sentence paragraphs this troll constantly makes too. LOL.
