just had to post here don't know why, it just seemed like the thing to do Although. as you know, spamming like this thread is completely unacceptable. That said, however, for some reason, I can't really explain it, I was somehow driven to post here. So, here's my post In your spam thread. Which is against the rules and should not be tolerated.

Rules of Wurm forums and Kingdom chat are quite simple, and can be easily adhered to if you follow two basic rules: 1 - Use your common sense 2 - If you have to ask whether it is acceptable, it's not. It takes a certain amount of brain power to be able to follow the registration process for Wurm, then make a forum account, just in order to post. If you are capable of that, and determining which forum to post in, you have the intelligence necessary to know what is allowed. I believe I can speak for the entire GM/CM crew when I say that deleting/repairing posts is the least enjoyable part of the job. the only reason it is necessary (as Oracle explained in a previous thread) is that a small minority of you find it entertaining to push the limits constantly. Forum moderation should be a background process and rarely obvious to the general forum population. Unfortunately, easily more than 10% of posts are cropped, cleaned, or deleted. Way too many threads are locked. Sure there will be the occasional naked Brittney, topless Oprah post, but these should come from outsiders, and are what Mods should be looking for. Instead we spend our time cleaning up "why was Gavin banned/unbanned/whining" * threads and other assorted flamefests. If you, the posters, would follow what you already know are the rules of acceptable behavior, we as mods could protect the forums and play the game as we should. * my sincere apologies to Gavin.. this was an example and not a personal attack

Not toatly out of the question thAT if you make several at a time to get two the same ql. This is not a good way to tell.

We need to stop posts like this? They do nothing but derail the thread and insult the poster. If you don't like the thread, go to the next one.

Honest, informative, discussion please. I need informed opinions on the comparisons of Dark Basic Pro, Blitz 3d, and 3D Game Studio. I've been working with DB, but I hear it's kinda buggy, so I'd like an idea on whether to switch and cut my loses or plow ahead.

I have the same incredible glow at the mine entrance. Gamma and brightness adjustments don't fix it. I simply go back into the mine and the problem goes away. Also, I notice in the mine if I walk approx 20 tiles my lamp goes out, then I stop and it starts back (catches up?)

Why not let a priest do everything he could do before becoming a priest, PLUS the priest bonus stuff. This way mains could be priests, which IMO should be an asset to a player, not a restriction.

followup: after no less then 6 rounds of email exchanges with a different tech (probably all named Ahmed in real life) each time telling me some other way to massage my computer to make Societies work, I received a refund on Paypal last night for my full purchase. Sorry Wurm, what was I thinking trying to play another game.

I have been a big fan of the SimCity franchise for many years, and recently purchased SimCity Societies. Reviews looked good, blah blah. This game sucks out loud. !!!!!! I do not believe I have ever been more disappointed in a game. Every aspect of it is blows. Now comes the fun of trying to get a refund from EA Of course, there will be someone who says this is the best game since the last Wurm Beta, but I just wanted to warn anyone considering purchasing it to do some homework first.

IMO (as if you care) Trade check is the only fair way to check. Although it could cause a heart attack in certain situations scare someone who is not paying attention and suddenly has a rogue trade window pop up, causing an outburst of "WTF, I thought I was all alone, and suddenly there's a trade window" , anyone who doesn't notice the trade window within 60 seconds probably isn't paying enough attention to be mining. ......edited for literal interpretation

Just because you get spanked when you manipulate/don't obey the rules doesn't mean people who can punish you are "fanatic" when they do so , especially in a game that is still trying to figure itself out.

yes - prem MR 4 accts now but soon to be 2 prem I don't believe the lock out is the best answer, since some people are gone for a few weeks at a time and should have an opportunity to at least plan for a change before they get booted. Maybe a 15 minute timer after prem runs out or after the first time you log on after prem runs out. Then you get thrown to NT or the west coast of home. I do, however , agree you should be prem to cross to the wild server, and new nonprem accounts should not be allowed to start there.

new game coming out of Beta today SAGA www.playsaga.com I played Beta for a bit, was a fun game but kinda tediuos to start. Basically is a persistent kingdom builder, where you build the army and direct your propel to build the town, mine, farm, etc.. with the feature of trading cards you purchase/get to swap citizens and spells. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/31465.html downside is... costs $19.95 for lifetime account, $14.95 today only. We can build a guild and rule this game quickly with 10 or 12 people. Anyone interested, let me know.. could play this and grind wurm simultaneously
