  1. Welcome to the Wurm Unlimited modding community where dreams do come true
  2. An inventory count would be helpful. When gathering bulk small items like sprouts, harvesting fields, taming animals using items directly from your inventory, knowing exactly how many items you have inside the inventory window would be helpful.
  3. you don't still have any of these things, do ya? 😅
  4. instead of lowering tree/bush growth, give us a way to only decrease the spread rate of things on a tile-by-tile basis, like we'll "treat" grass tiles so they should stay grass for however many days/weeks/months. Spreading will still be possible, but unlikely on these treated tiles
  5. This might as well be a bug. Flowerbed Bouquet of Blue Flowers
  6. Sometimes when I'm out searching the wild for rare new years chests or someone's corpse, it's a lot easier without the visual clutter of resource nodes. Now I'm not saying I want to permanently toggle off the resource node graphics. I love 'em. Just give me a keybind or even a setting to toggle them all off.
  7. I have always really loved that I can use the mouse to play WoW without a hitch. If I'm on the phone with someone, I can play almost all PvE activities in the game using just the mouse.
  8. Lingonberrywood Shaft - 1 COD to Rangersmith
  9. This post got really long and personal, and I want to make something very clear to other PvPers who might read this. I'm not a hardcore player. I don't want to be king in any kingdom or hold some capital or do 3 weeks of surface mining for the perfectly impenetrable deed, or make sure I'm part of every single HotA/Unique slaying because I NEED the materials. I've been playing exclusively PvP for years, but I'm not claiming to be some kind of OP wizard at player versus player combat lol I am an anxiety-stricken young adult and a filthy casual. I'm no leader or follower in Wurm. I kind of just do my own thing, near other people lol. When I say that I want more people to play on PvP servers, I'm not saying it because I want more people to try killing. I want a community of players. I want trade to flow again, to see merchants pop up. I want to see people and hear working sounds in my own kingdom when I ride around hunting. I want life and magic to be breathed back into the game I fell in love with as a kid. When the Chaos gang briefly came to Epic a while back, they really came exclusively to murder any active players left on Epic, probably in an attempt to force them to go to Chaos and do battle there for the long-term. I respect that, I think, but I'm not going anywhere and I'm also not going to try fighting a whole team of hardcore players by myself. Maybe one on one! But not 4+ people with some of the best stats/items in the game. Devs can't make more PvP servers because it'll further isolate the population. But they can't just delete all the old servers because people get mad lol it's a lose lose situation for everyone including the devs and there won't ever be a solution that everyone likes. Epic is my literal Wurm home and when the Epic servers get deleted someday, I'm probably gone for good. There's two sides to PvP servers in my eyes: Why do I play PvP? I think Epic's 4-island-system worked the best, at least for me. You'd have all the casuals living on the home servers and all the hardcore players in the middle, getting dirty every day on the field, hoping to win enough HotAs to make sets of moonmetal weapons/armor. The casuals would prioritize building a big community of deeds that help each other, building roads and keeping track of good QL veins anyone can use. Killing uniques and making sure any same-kingdom bandits were kept dead and all the canals + sea access points were under watch if raiders/enemy kingdom players were spotted. I always saw the home servers as PvP-lite, where PvP is still possible but difficult and almost frowned upon. We all love a good raid into the enemy lands, but it was rarely an everyday thing, partly because you'd have to sail for an hour just to get there one-way and you had to organize 4+ people to do it if you wanted to stand a chance against a defense. Epic was the largest most real, living and breathing feeling Wurm to me. There were also so many people in local and tens of bustling villages with players everywhere building, bashing, paving, trading, etc. I felt so full of wonder every time I opened this game up. I never liked PvE and still don't because what's the point if there's never any risk? Everything is so easily replaceable anyway and even 100 coc tools aren't like game-breakingly better than blanks. If you didn't want to lose your good hatchet, you shouldn't have brought it with you out into the woods where someone decided to pick a fight lol just make a large chest or a bank alt in your deed and lock up your valuables when you decide to take an adventure. I look around me on the PvE servers and I see KILOMETERS of people who built their fantasy villages and got bored, leaving behind slowly decaying castles. Wurm is a sandbox, I think knowing you could be invaded/pillaged at any point enhances the gameplay loop. It also reinforces the idea that you should join the community! Show your kingdom that you've got skill, offer your conversation and chat, prove your morality through action! Show people that you're going to stick around and stay put. You can become part of the world! It's so motivating to me lol If you hang out as a hermit in the middle of nowhere, people WILL take all your stuff. Because who cares? He's lived out there for how long and no one even knows his name? Go be someone worth being in good relations with. It's like that cheesy quote, "be the difference you wish to see in the world, even if that means murdering innocents haha."
  10. Yep, on Epic. I sacrificed another recipe today and it worked fine. I suppose I'll have to just do them individually from now on, to be safe. Has it always been that rares didn't give 1 bonus rarity window second each? Or has it only been valrei objects that do that?
  11. They have worked for me in the past, at least for refilling water/food/nutrition. I started finding them so often that I collected them in a magic chest for maxing nutrition now and then. I'm not sure if they ever gave rarity bonus seconds though.
  12. Settlement Info before and after: Non-priest premium player sacrificed at the same time at an on deed altar: rare goblin liver recipe supreme billy gruff stew recipe rare green mushroom rare wheat 2 70ish QL goblin skulls All full weight. Rarity window unchanged after sacrifice + no 99% nutrition or low tick skill gain (from sacrificing a supreme). Was there an update on sacrificing rares that I missed or are you not supposed to sacrifice multiple? But surely I would have gotten the benefits of at least one...
  13. This would be so radical. Lots of other MMOs have something like this and I'd love to see it here too. I'd think that the most fair and balanced way to implement mini pets might be to: include each pet as a very small chance to drop from their respective larger version (maybe sub 0.01% chance per kill), making pets extremely rare pets can travel through walls and never stop following/being led by their owner, so they never get stuck and can't get lost every non player NPC has a chance to drop a mini pet besides maybe tower guards and spirit templars the pet is dropped in the form of an "egg" or a weightless item in the inventory that can summon/dismiss the pet, tradeable the pet doesn't have to be outlined, so when you hover over it nothing shows up, but it doesn't really matter either way as far as I'm concerned. This is the way it is in Oldschool Runescape. You can't see the name of other players' pets for some reason, so you have to ask about it or already know lol More ludicrous far-fetched ideas: dyeable pets w/ extremely rare golden or moonmetal variant of pet skin if a champion goblin drops a pet, make the pet also champion, or any other applicable adjective son of son of nogump lol mini pet battles/duels rare/supreme/fantastic variants
  14. I love the resource nodes. Foraging/botanizing was so random and you could spend an hour foraging for a single cotton as a brand new player, especially with all the new things you can gather these days. Now you can get multiple cotton from a single node and be on the lookout for specific nodes. I think they really help immerse you more in the environment as well! I was always hoping there'd be more bushes and trees and things just to keep the world looking full, but the resource nodes have met this fantasy quite well! Now the world feels a lot fuller with little nodes that fit each biome + are interactable.
  15. even kingdom icons would be awesome like kingdom logos pasted onto walls/floors. Easier implementation would be... posters? parchment paper + ink = posters hangable on walls which could be edited/renamed like shop signs. OR even easier would be hangable text signs with variable fonts/colored text
  16. Where before I really wanted certain changes added to Unlimited from Online like the updated Animal Husbandry overhaul, with "Inspect Animal" and the new/updated trait system hovering over a tile/item in the world and using keybinds to "Repeat last action" or "Use tool specific to what's being hovered over" like "pick sprout or prune" while hovering over a tree with a sickle equipped etc But now I'm hoping they don't add what's in the works for Online right now, the UI changes + toolbelt/quickbar overhaul situation
  17. I don't mean to banter back and forth. I really am just upset because this has been one of my all-time favorite games, ever and continues to be even with all these recent triple-A titles like Baldur's Gate 3 and Elden Ring. I see everything Wurm could be and when I check in every few months on patch updates, I'm just not excited like I used to be. I add a few more silver to my deeds that I don't even play on anymore and find out that there's a whole new owner/CEO and there's all this drama uproar and like half the team has quit. I think Lyrinhae or however you spell that name just had a "signing off" post a few days ago as well. I'm frustrated that the CEO might see all this drama/mess and just stuff Wurm into a box in his basement, only ever updating it to add more microtransactions.
  18. I think you're missing the point. What game-changing updates or whole-vibe furniture collections have come out? In the time that other games have released expansions, whole new areas to explore and monsters to fight, new skills/professions and classes to play + balance the heck out of, new content, Wurm is basically the same game. Nothing has changed. Prettier UI? Sure. Being able to view wound healing rates? Okay! But so many things are still broken, and we haven't really seen anything new. I lost all faith in the developers when they announced the VR idea, like this whole time pre-roadmap you've been silent and this is what you've been anxiously waiting to announce? Blecchhh! And at the very least, if cosmetics are really all they're going to release for essentially years, why not go all-out and make whole new styles of furniture??? It took them decades to reskin forges/altars for different materials and to give us the ability to mount things to the wall lol the sky really is the limit in this game cool things they could add and I'm really just spit balling here: dungeon furniture like cages with optional skeletons inside or torture devices like a rack, iron maiden, ability to "dye" items with blood stains to make weapons/armor/furniture all bloody-looking, or make weapons/armor bloody after killing something with optional turnoff in settings for you blood-fearing types blacksmith furniture like a visual standalone graphic for the whetstone, tongs + bellows, tool racks, maybe a blacksmith apron or temporary blackened face/hands when smithing for prolonged periods of time etc glass items/furniture/housing, could really make a gorgeous greenhouse-type building for the gardeners and flower-lovers out there, with flower baskets and picnic tables + glass mirrors, and I know coding a mirror reflection is 100% too much to ask and I'd settle for a blurry mess but you could make some sweet mirror-themed objects even just adding standard items you'd find in any given home, like wooden dressers, cabinets, armoires, wardrobes, standing curtains, room dividers, bedside mini tables, metal benches, how about musical instruments??? piano, standing cello, lute, etc, you could make a whole music skill with subcategories like string/brass/wood winds more plants! I'm a plant fiend in real life, I've got so many potted plants all over my house and there's a serious lack of plant choice in Wurm. Maybe show us some love with succulents, cacti, ferns, monsteras variant slightly different versions of ovens/forges or other items that some players have like 20 of in a single room, just to shake things up a bit and not have 20 100% identical items side-by-side + ovens/forges that don't have a massive chimney sticking out the top through the floor above alternative culture buildings/furniture like a Chinese themed set, maybe even with a Chinese roof where the trim/edges stick out a little. The best we ever got was timber frames and oriels, which let you make a cute lil European house with 1st floor stone, 2nd floor timber frames patterns applied to walls, like solid stripes or possibly even symbols many, many more animals and wildlife, like rabbits, owls + birds that fly or at least have flying animations lol, squirrels, foxes, raccoons, non-anaconda snakes like the rattlesnake in deserts or cobras, yaks/alpacas, musk oxen, desert lizards or iguanas, could even add monstrous versions of these to add to the monster list as well like giant frogs/lizards/whatever more fantasy monsters and variant skins so not every troll/goblin is an identical copy, ogres, elves, kobolds, wyverns/gryphons/hippogriffs, etc but they'd rather sell a single chair re-skin on the silver shop for like $10
  19. I always understood the sacrifice. Being able to permanently change the effectiveness of items by enchanting them + Life Transfer + Web Armor and stuff like that always helped me understand why priests can't improve things, but it'd be pretty dang cool if they could. Even if you had less skill gain or less improvement rate, it would be rad to finally be able to have one premium character who's a priest and crafter...
  20. Instead, it's about time we create another cluster... Permanently divide the player base and community a little further, and let's use another new launcher this time like Epic Games or wow maybe EA's Origin, just to keep things interesting.
  21. Meditation should take a long time. Lots of people don't even bother because of how long it takes and that should be proof that, just like real life, meditation isn't for everyone. Also like real life, meditation rewards the patient and disciplined. Also, what's next after removing the cap? Lowering it to a 20 sec action and letting you do it without a rug? How about offering each path level bonus as a standalone item you can bUy iN THe siLVeR sHOp?
  22. 100%. I've witnessed the addition of actual player models so many animations multi-story buildings bridges a real journal/goal system unlike the randomized ones we had before the ability to make iron plate armor, instead of steel or moonmetals a paper doll window instead of viewing equipped items and wounds on lists within your inventory window (yeah that was a thing) the ability to travel to other servers by going in any direction rifts archaeology + restoration which is a meh skill overall. Definitely good for players who are bored doing everything else by now lol meteorites you can mine for a random QL metal bees? cool concept but really they're just noise machines. 100% would prefer just hearing classic bee buzzing when nearby, not birds and crap or w/e the sound effect is supposed to be, plus the hives last many many years offdeed and the countryside will forever be plagued with countless locked 90ql+ beehives but most of these changes are from like 5-15 years ago. What has happened in the last 5 years? uhh Cartography? the addition of ~2 metals that... are kind of worse than the others? (empyrean + electrum) pvp bans a single new kind of boat in nearly 20 years and it's a F2P canoe?????? Plus... what happened to all those one-time events that I figured would be a recurring thing but never happened again? Jackal. There's still portals to Jackal to this day but I doubt we'll ever see any action with them ever again. I actually never got to experience this but it sounded really awesome. As I understand it there were all new friendly and enemy mobs and you start from scratch on the planet Jackal, with the option to earn points or something, to bring special items back to your regular character progression. Challenge Server, where all players start from scratch and try to rush to complete goals and become the 1st in a number of categories. I swear they even called it "the first challenge server" or "Challenge Server 1" like there would be more
  23. It's been "Fantastic COOKIE MONSTER" for as long as I can remember and... I wish it weren't named that lol you could do something "lore-friendly" like Gift of Fo or The Green Giant but I think Cookie Monster is a little overboard. If it was player-built I wouldn't question the name someone gives it but I believe it was spawned in by a GM so...
  24. Let us make saddles, backpacks, bridles, waterskins, quivers, etc out of drake hide. Maybe give us a special skin for it. You could keep all aspects of the item the same as its leather equivalent except where appropriate like a drake hide barding. I want a drake hide toolbelt. I want a drake hide outfit that goes well beyond simply wearing all the armor.
