Yay, a new server test. Yay, sharks. Hurray, bedroom furniture. Yay, myself and others have to manually move all our livestock. :-( Seriously? They used to move, then a few mob changes happened, and many (not just me) watch our livestock frozen to one tile, packing it, and not eating. Oddly for some, their livestock apparently move, while for many others, they don't. I don't understand it. They all sued to. Off topic: Where are the mobs? All I see are sharks, and the odd champ spider.

Let larger ships such as cogs and corbitas tow, or lead smaller craft such as rowboats or sailboats. Be sure that they must be empty to be towed. Perhaps require a particular rope for towing, and produce a speed decrease. This will allow for easier trade and delivery of sailboats and rowboats to players, especially newer Wurmians.

It's annoying and bordering on unacceptable. Non of my deer, horses, pheasant, or horse move. It sucks. They know it's broken, and they can fix it.

people on these servers often complain that they are crowded. I think a large server makes sense.

Weird. I never received anything. Was it via email? I don't hang in IRC, and I don't use Twitter. This would all explain why I was surprised it was down. Sadly some people here (NOT YOU) were dicks about it.

I can't connect to Release. I love Wurm, but am sick of this. Feel like quitting.

After trying numerous BAT files I can log in, but once connected I find it entirely useless. I can't log in via normal methods at all. Stamina is gone Nutrition is 0 My inventory is empty I can not move, or turn. There appears to be no terrain. /who, and others do not work. It seems as if it is anew character. Why do I continue to pay Rolf for this sort of experience?

As I post this I realize that I may actually be feeding the DDOS originator. I apologize in advance for this posts length. Numerous posts exist about how it hurts our gameplay fun, affects the company, how we are supportive, and other points regarding the current attack.. This little blurb of mine is intended to provide a shred of info about DDOS attacks and their originators. A DDOS attack is considered a "dumb" attack. It is really not a hack at all. Individuals that initiate the attacks are not hackers. They have no special abilities or skill set. The purpose of DDoS attacks are not to steal information but rather to prove a point. They simply control botnets (groups of innocent, unprotected computer users) to show their supposed strength. The truth? They are weak. They are at best, script kiddies, no matter their true age. Corporations are attacked quite frequently for numerous reasons of course. Perhaps you are aware of web presences such as the CIA being hit with a DDOS attack to prove a point. Other corporations or organizations are attacked for personal reasons, or for financial gain. Practically anybody can imitate a DDOS attack, with varying degrees of success. It does not make them special. The reason is that it simply is not an intelligent hack, but instead a cheap bombardment against network systems that are for various reasons, unable to protect themselves, or provide means to alleviate the problems caused by the attacks. I mentioned the CIA being hit. They aren't alone. Others such as Wordpress, credit card companies, and others have been hit as well. Some companies are in fact attacked almost daily. Most can't protect themselves. Some of them have the financial means to handle attacks, but even big corporations (not to mention small and medium businesses, Rolf) do not have the ability to scale the way the Internet giants do. The giants such as Apple, are prepared. They have built a 5000,000 square foot data center, worth about 1 billion dollars. Others such as Google, Amazon or Microsoft can handle almost any amount of traffic.Corporations like them can cordon off a DDOS attack, and stream it into a black hole where it is not longer affecting their servers. It is expensive, and we ultimately pay for it. So big deal. Why point out how mega bucks corporations are protected, and how others (the majority) like Rolf's are not? Attacking a smaller network infrastructure is like beating up on children, or others that are unable to fully protect themselves. The attack shows cowardice, and a lack of backbone. The person or persons that attacked Rolf show that they are that cowardly type of individual, low in character, to afraid to attack anything other than an easy target. They can keep telling themselves lies, but they know the truth. He, she, or they, can sit smugly, trying hard to avoid the truth of what they know truly are. Let us not give them the time of day to describe how we are affected. Let us not give them what they need, that satisfaction, that false pride they require to cover up their shameful, and unskilled attack against the innocent. They have chosen to join the prestigious group that includes pond scum and emal spammers. They secretly want recognition. Let us quietly recognize them for what they really are. I realized that I hate the fact that I am stupid enough to keep giving Rolf money. While some will say it is likely a hardware/network error, or the developers of Wurm aren't really responsible, as the issue is likely a network services provider, or some such thing, I believe that any problem is entirely that of the company. This is not the first time, so it needs to be fixed, for good. If it is a code issue, fix it. I can wait for bridges. If it an infrastructure issue, get a new provider, hardware, or whatever it takes. We are too accepting of these failures in providing us access to something we pay for. I know some might say that the company provides no guarantee of service 24/7, or that it compares to other MMORPG's with similar crappy network issues. This does not make these failures acceptable. We pay to play. I put down my hard earned money to continue subscribing. Getting a little free SP after a screwup isn't good enough. I don't want to be pacified, I want reliability. Give Me Wurm.

I thought it was just me. I wanted to uncheck no-spam, so I logged out. Damn. That will teach me. This happens far too often. It seems that the devs don't really care as much as some might think.

From the last Latest news: Optimisations in the code has made restarting the game servers faster Gee, that worked out well. (also it's a "z", not an "s" in optimizations) While sleep bones gifts are a nice gesture, I would much rather have a server that is running all the time.

Personally, I like the mines much more now. The daytime lighting doesn't seem different, to me. It is at least not gloomy as some might describe. Maybe it's my settings. I like the new look.

Let's see if I have got this straight. 1. You haven't played for 6 years, have been banned at least once, and want to give us advice? Holy crap! Get over yourself. 2. You should know that many people play Wurm for long hours and still have a life. Some of us even have kids. I could be wrong, but from this submission of yours it looks like you still need help. You are obviously jonesing for a little Wurm, "I don't want people to just quit Wurm for the sake of quitting (I would love wurm to succeed at the same levels as minecraft)" Why do you care? You don't even play. You know this makes you sound kind of nuts, don't you? Gee, I hope Wurm can survive and flourish without you. Save us.
