  1. So, I'm a bit confused about the whole weapons deal. I rarely see anybody using any sort of weapon combination besides dual longswords, or longsword with a shield (Large Metal, commonly). I've found that Huge Axes in Aggressive stance work exceedingly well (think glass cannons), and I've questioned the tradition of longswords and two-handed swords. What's the reason behind nobody using axes or mauls? Is it really the extra difficulty in raising the skills? And what about halberds? (Long) Spears? And Archery? I've observed a ~30 skill Archer, with ~20 skill medium bow, Q30 bow and war arrows barely dent a scorpion. It took him 5 minutes to kill a young diseased rat, at ideal range; someone fresh from GV (skills at 1, all around) could kill one in two minutes tops, with the starter weapon. Perhaps he's doing something wrong, or is archery really that underpowered?
  2. As an ex H&H hardcore, I would suggest you guys don't post your Hearth secrets, or at least change them as soon as possible.
  3. Not even Valve did this with TF2. This is a slap in the face for HoN players.
  4. I've found watching gaming streams to be surprisingly fun. It's interesting to see what or how someone builds something in Minecraft, how they strategize in Starcraft/Warcraft (I can use all the help I can get, I'm downright terrible at RTS), or what kind of games are around or have been around. But, to be honest, I can't think of anything that would be interesting to watch on Wurm, short of PvP and maybe massive hunting parties or MrB events. Wouldn't stop me from tuning in and watching for a bit though.
  5. While the gatehouse cannot be picked, the gate can be, and with both providing access to the same area, the gatehouse loses part of its intended security function, only acting as a remote-controlled permission manager and preventing the land getting deeded, but no longer as a secure gate.
  6. Traders seem to be a good way for newer players to get a few coins to buy some (semi-)neccessities, like fishing rods, assuming they're knowledgable as well as lucky and/or patient enough. If traders were a good source of money, that would mean less income to keep the game going. But, more on-topic, I've seen traders pull some things into the Demand window, yet not others, even if said others did have a value. I haven't tried, but I don't see why a trader wouldn't trade items at a profit.
