Under the category of 'Truth stranger than fiction.' in 2007, an Iranian state news agency reported the supposed "arrest" of 14 squirrels on espionage charges. The Washington Post
  3. It is too late the infection has begun!
  4. Last Post Wins

Yea we are living in Paradise. https://youtu.be/lOfZLb33uCg
  5. This thread has become totally derailed, and now meaningless.
  6. I had a similar issue a while back and putting the fence across the 2 tile road was deemed not griefing because the GM's decided it was not a highway even though it connected several deeds to a marina used by the community and the creator expressly had it added to the map as a highway but I was told if I destroyed the fence it would be griefing.
  7. This sometimes happens with houses also. I used to have a house that was cut out of a hill and if you fell toward the house on the hill side what you described would happen.
  8. Funny you say? These cats are serious Warriors! See not so funny now huh?

Yea Klaa stop trying to derail this thread! (actually I am not sure this thread was ever on the rails ) And here is a wonderful series of books about Cats I just started reading. https://books.google.com/books?id=uycc2zm6VlAC&printsec=frontcover&dq=warrior+cats&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0CEgQ6AEwBmoVChMIqtqVy-apxwIVS6GACh0y2QHN#v=onepage&q&f=false

I thought this was last post wins not that thread about cats? I am winning again ( if I am where I think I am )
  12. Yes the Gm's will still have that option but it will be much more difficult for you to claim ignorance of the speed limit once the signs are posted. Currently there are no speed limit signs posted and it is like the cop picks who to pull over and sets the speed limit and the fine at that time.
  13. Fo did get locate soul and disintegrate. and Vyn always had locate soul, and got disintegrate.
  14. A solution to this would be to set minimum punishments for each common act of grievance. Much like in IRL if you speed the minimum fine is printed on the back of the speeding ticket. of course the GM's could always adjust the penalty based on the severity of the crime just as fines are higher for speeding in a school zone or if you have been ticketed for speeding before. Then there would be fewer calls of favoritism and less confusion as to what is not acceptable behavior.
  15. So breaking into places and stealing stuff is 'playing nice'? Pretty much every society that has ever existed in history disagrees with that. If you stole or destroyed property of another member of your kingdom you, paid restitution, went to jail, and/or became their slave. PS: Before anyone jumps on the usual bandwagon we are not talking about any starving noob finding an unlocked cart on an abandoned deed in the middle of nowhere. You know what stealing means.
  16. If you can find a deer or wild horse those would be a much easier kill to get a hide. Bison are tanks.
  17. It is human nature to push boundaries; babies do it from the time they can crawl seeing just how far they can get from mom before they get called back. With no set boundaries the GM's end up running around like a kindergarten teacher trying to corral 5,000 toddlers in a theme park. The good thing about the enclosure rule was that it gave an example of what 'not playing nice' was, unfortunately it was abused and had to go. You are on the right track the real problem is there are two different mindsets PVP vs PVE. A PVP mindset believes that anything that they can do according to the code is OK. A PVE mindset believes that anything you would not want done to you, should not be done by you to others. Getting the extremes of these two mindsets to see things from the other's point of view is about as hard as getting the extremes of liberals and conservatives to see things from the other's point of view. That is why we need to clarify the rules for PVE. PS: there is also a third mindset the 'griefer' which differs from the PVP mindset in that a PVP enjoys one-upping an opponent and takes their counter-attacks as a challenge to be bested; where a griefer is either too afraid or lazy to deal with repercussions and wants to attack then hides behind the rules or claims ignorance to avoid them.
  18. The real question would be 'Why did you unpack them?'
  19. Some people will never understand the meaning of " Play Nice Or We Will Rip Your Heart Out (griefing) Definition: Activities that are not constructive and with deliberate intent to do harm to others." That is why they need to clarify the rules more for PVE which is what this thread is asking for. FYI destroying something built by someone else is not 'playing nice'.
  20. I believe the canal you are referring to is Scarlet canal which is covered by a player made deed, and although not all all of them are expressly protected by GM's they usually are once someone tries to mess them up; so why don't you go build an island across Scarlet Canal to test your point that it would not be considered griefing. Then enjoy you 'vacation/ban' from Wurm.
  21. Shadz perhaps you should actually read the definition of that word yourself: 1. mode of building, construction, or organization; {arrangement of parts, elements, or constituents:} a pyramidal structure. 2. something built or constructed, as a building, bridge, or dam. 3. a complex system considered from the point of view of the whole rather than of any single part: the structure of modern science. 4. {anything composed of parts arranged together in some way; an organization.} Roads and canals are also structures, as are man-made caves or mines,
  22. Currently Guards are the equivalent of a 50FS character with no weapons or armor, Templar: 70FS also no weapons or armor. If you equip a guard with even a troll club their performance improves greatly. The best way to buff them would be to have them spawn with a sword and shield. I know equipping guards on spawn could be controversial since they leave bodies and equipment behind but perhaps a 20ql 'birch wood' longsword and medium shield would be acceptable, and since a Templar leaves nothing behind a 50 ql sword and shield for them.
  23. If the nodes are not on deed they are not my ores the only way you can 'own' them is to deed them. So if someone else puts in the same amount of work to get to them (maybe slightly less since they may already know what is available) that I did then they have earned the right to mine them.
