I don't PVP and yes I can see uses for this on Freedom. I also don't think something with a limited time use should require rare items Hard to get sure otherwise everyone would make them and they would be useless as beacons. As for the effective time one Wurm Day sounds appropriate.

+1 this idea it is easy to add later if they do want it and you can't get a refund if you didn't.

I really like all the stories of his in-game life people are coming forward with I will always remember his fairness and patience as a GM. Also someone mentioned his voice and that made me remember his humor as he said he had a 'face made for radio'. That and him doing his 'Jesus act' for us at Black Dog Isle = walking on water and disappearing in a pillar of light'. Good-Bye Oracle you will be sorely missed, both as a GM and an online friend.

It is not that they do not want to do saddlebags just that the way horses are currently coded you would have to keep them tame to access the saddlebag contents so that would not be very useful. Once they get them re--coded to be more vehicle than animal then they might be able to add them and make them useful.

+1 Would be both useful and a way to avoid those that don't pertain to you (like casting restricted spells on a priest you don't have).

YES! I and Many others have been suggesting this for a while now. I do believe this will help in retention of new players. Sure there will still be a lot of people who want to be 'macho' and skip it but once humbled by Wurms learning curve maybe even they will go through it the second time.
