  1. Well done Torun! That showed a lot of determination to keep that account playable on Deliverance. I think you will enjoy the server as there is a lot of variation to the environment and there are plenty of free small spots to settle in not far from Green Dog, as well as larger areas to make small sized deed nearby as well. =Ayes=
  2. Zaaephod, I will repeat the same old song about it being easier to sell all this on an individual basis. If the character Zaaephod was being sold alone (no gems, merchants, ship, tools, ect ect) I would have an interest in purchasing it at a reasonable price that you set for a starting bid. Also, are you wanting payment in Euros or US Dollars? =Ayes=
  3. Hello Icenrns, I would like to purchase the following items mailed seperately to me and my alt as follows: Carving Knife 72ql - CoC 61 WoA 87 - 2.3s = Mail COD to Ayes (Independence) Saw 80ql - WoA 87 - 2.4s = Mail COD to Zen (Deliverance) Hatchet 81ql - CoC 86 WoA 87 - 3.8s = Mail COD to Zen (Deliverance) Carving Knife 71ql - CoC 57 WoA 85 - 2.3s = Mail COD to Zen (Deliverance) Thank you. =Ayes=
  4. Torun, I don't have an answer about swiming from Chaos to Deliverance; but since your character has no skills or equipment, why not just create another character, go through the tutorial and take the portal from there directly to Deliverance? =Ayes=
  5. A very nice deed and concept! May it live long, the trees grow tall and the wild animals roam freely under your consirvatorship. =Ayes=
  6. As others have stated, deed upkeep per month will never be lower than 1 silver, so space allowing, it is best to make the largest size deed you can that will still keep you with a 1 silver per month upkeep. I have found that if I fill in the N/S box with 11 and the E/W box with 10 and the deed perimiter box with 0; that will give me a 23 x 21 deed with 5 perimiter tiles and be the largest I can make while still staying at 1 silver per month upkeep. This is with no guards of course, as they will cost an additional 1 silver per month each. At any rate, on the last page/step of the settlement form it will break all the costs down for you with your specifications listed, so before you click the confirm option, you can use the back button to make any changes to keep you at the upkeep you would like to have. =Ayes=
  7. Hmmm, well I am sure that we who are already involved in and enjoy playing Wurm will readily forgive Rolf for his quirks and lack of knowledge of certian mechancis of the game that he has created. Heck, we may even get a chuckle or two from certain of his responses; however, was this interview really directed at us "believers", or to entice the unwashed masses into the fold. If it is the latter, then perhaps his responses were not serving his best interests. Not that I personally think any less of him for it, since I have already deciphered the method behind his madness and enjoy the inadverdent creativity spawned from within it. *gives Rolf a nod of assurance* =Ayes=
  8. I agree that the starter deeds are in very poor shape, with crude design, sloped uneven roads and no proper building layouts. This goes not just for Epic either, as Green Dog really has no buildings at all and the west road along the lake that I made has never even been properly connected, as I have no ability to build on the final tiles in the water that are within the village deed tiles. New Dawn on GV and even Glitterdale are architectural wonders in comparison to these haphazard messes that exhibit little interest in making a good impression upon the new players that spawn in these so called starter villages. If the holders of those deeds have not the time nor interest in improving them, I am sure that there are other capable builders that would enjoy spending some of their time to turn these starter villages into something along the lines of their own village layouts and estetics. Just set up some post to recruit a few local area builders, interview them and then give them the proper building rights to start the work. But of course this will never happen..... =Ayes=
  9. What comes to my mind is why the OP is concerned if CA's can view chat logs other than being live to see them. It is always best to refrain onself from saying anything in local and kchat that would put yourself in a bad light, would be in violation of the TOS and generally sturring up a hornets nest just for the sake of it. To think that Wurm staff can not review ALL in game communication at a later date is naive at best. The internet offers no real privacy other than encrypted messages and online gaming even much less than general email usage, search engines, ect. Everyone should be aware of this and conduct themselves accordingly; therefore, I find the original OP's questioning to be pointless with the above knowledge. Staff who run online games will do things that the common players will never know of, nor do they owe their customers any explanation about it. Players will always be responsible for their comments in game, so keep them within reason and you will have nothing to be concerned about. If you want private communication don't ever fool yourself into thinking that you will have it within an online game, nor even via the internet if not encrypted. =Ayes=
  10. If you mean in game coins, I buy them from the Wurm Shop. Fast, easy, secure and puts some RL coin in Rolf's pockets (or maybe a vault is needed to put it all in). =Ayes=
  11. Why even bring this subject up on a new forum account with 3 posts to it's name? Have you found a new "currency exploit"? If so, just do a /dev in game and report it to a GM. =Ayes=
  12. Yaga, seems that this person did not speak with you or anyone else living in the area before sealing this local access off, so why would you bother even trying to contact them. Just take matters into your own hands and do as some have suggested to regain control of the area. If this happened around where I live under similar circumstances any "blockages" would soon mysteriously disappear and be replaced with new items accessable to all. (plausible deniability clause invoked) =Ayes=
  13. To make keybinds press the "Console" tab at top of screen (F9 also opens it for me). At the bottom of screen type in for example: bind insert cut_down (chops down trees) bind delete chop_up (makes logs from trees) bind m mine_forward (mines level) bind n mine_down (mines down) bind t take (picks up items) bind o open (opens containers) You can only make one of these binds at a time. After typing in desired bind, hit enter and screen will show a confirmation. Making some few keybinds requires some odd wording that might not be obvious, forget which at the moment, but if the keybind fails the screen will show you a note of it. Using number keys has some not so apparent wording that has to be used for those keys as well. I like to use my keypad for a number of keybinds but I suppose the easiest way is to just use the letter keys on the keyboard for most binds. At any rate, keybinds make many actions faster, more convienent and less stressful on the hands. =Ayes=
  14. Xallo, No offense meant but what's the rush for anyone to bid on those? Your auction dosen't close until next Wednesday (which is why I have made no bids at this point). If you want more action I would suggest in the future you post your auctions to close within 48 hours of the post, as several others have done here. Best of luck with your auctions. =Ayes=
  15. As the OP stated, yesterday the sleep timer to use a bed in a off-deed house was 5 minutes on the Independence server, so we sort of freaked out about this situation. I have just checked and it is now back to 60 seconds, which it has been for years on the Independence server. The mystery remains as to why it increased so dramatically yesterday but since it is now back to normal for us, all is well. =Ayes=
  16. Jontomxire, I find it interesting that a few days ago you posted that the tediousness of playing Wurm reminded you too much of things you could accomplish in real life with less effort and more lasting effect; therefore, Wurm was not the game for you and you prefered the monsters and dungeons of WoW for your online diversion from real life. Yet here you remain, starting numerous posts on various topics. Perhaps you prefer the forum discussions to the game of Wurm itself? Well, we shall see how it all turns out, as those who stay with Wurm for any length of time at least gain some understanding of the meaning of patience as applies to achieving goals that are in large part set by oneself. =Ayes=
  17. Brash has made an excellent post that covers all of the three PvE servers. Well composed with lots of details and a very accurate "generalization" of the environment and mood of these 3 servers. Based on this post you can make an informed decision on which server would most suit your tastes and travel there to find out for yourself. Safe journeys. =Ayes=
  18. *agrees* I would suggest to you to try out Deliverance though, much less nasty mobs than on Exodus and small free areas to build a house close to Green Dog (starter town). Also some player merchants there to buy inexpensive tools much better that the starter ones you will have. There is also a portal there to the Epic PvP servers, so you could travel there and back without any cost. You will have the same character but all skills will be reset to starting skills, so you will have to grind them back up, but I wouldn't waste my time going there as a new player just learning the game as it is legal for other players to mess with you in various ways that they can not do on the Freedom Isles servers (Independence, Deliverance and Exodus). =Ayes=
  19. Brash, This is a nice idea and it did also remind me of the guild tabbards in WoW. They would also be nice if we could put them on shop signs in place of one of the other logos. But as to having any cost associated with them initially and then monthly, NO!!!! Ruins the whole idea for me and I would definately NOT be using them under that system. Yes, I know I don't have to then and I wouldn't. Take out any cost associated with them and you have an excellent suggestion. =Ayes=
  20. Point noted but it still does increase discussions about these topics and get out various players viewpoints to consider. As for paying for enhanced aspects of gameplay in Wurm, although I may be able to afford such things, it would decrease the time and effort required to achieve these in game goals, thus I am against the concept as posted. =Ayes=
  21. I don't believe I have ever played an online game that had a system of player characters having to take bowel movements, although Active Worlds does have various toilet designs for decorative purposes. Too many negative comments come to mind as offshoots of this suggestion, so I will just leave it at that. =Ayes=
  22. *agrees* Cranky did tarnish the original post by his negativity. I almost have a hard time believing that the original "quoted" post was made by the same person, as his later comments exhibit none of the creative aspects of objections to some Wurm's time consuming actions to achieve end results. =Ayes=
