  1. Maybe something like 181217 Patch Notes Gone Fishing! 17/DEC/18 Mother of god, look at all that content. Man, I miss Tich
  2. I mean... you could say the same thing about highways but we still got a highway system implemented. Did we need it? No. Has it helped a lot of people? Yes. Do veterans use it? Perhaps not so much on their home servers, but a lot of them link their deeds up to it to make it easier for others to find their way to them. We do need the dial to move more toward creativity and away from tradition, that much is for sure. If I were a new player and didn't know how to get from Zero to Hero, and didn't have some amazing friends in game, I wouldn't stick around. I think Wurm's biggest problem is the amount of money that goes into development. I genuinely believe a lot of the suggestions made, the devs would love to put into the game, but they're limited to a slow development method because of the budget.
  3. I'd really rather we move away from giving bonuses to rare items. It already seems like white items are trash and hold no value compared to rare, supreme, fantastics. If you want non-rng then maybe don't give bonuses to the items that rely on rng to produce.
  4. πŸ¦€πŸ¦€ $11 πŸ¦€πŸ¦€ +1
  5. Congratulations! You crazy lady πŸ€ͺ Colour me impressed at 256, 24, 123
  6. Would really like a textbox to put in the quantity of items we're looking to make.
  7. Maybe every subsequent rune attachment raises in difficulty and failing to attach the rune destroys all the other attached runes... ... this is why I have no friends. However it gets added, would welcome multiple rune slots on items
  8. All part of my master plan. (sorry) (also that was a joke, I wasn't trying to mislead anyone)
  9. Only scenario I can think of is when the creator's account is deleted for inactivity, the cart loses its maker's signature and then decay speed is drastically accelerated. While it's in this state, If a player with command and inventory permissions examines the cart, ownership of the cart is then transferred to them. I agree, all the junk carts players leave littered around is crazy, but the few that return may be upset if they log on after 6 weeks and find their cart has disappeared.
  10. Somehow I managed to overlook one of the two ground tiles off the bridge not being paved. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ
  11. I've been wanting to make this post for a while... I think we desperately need community streams back, and we need them to stick to key discussion points every 'episode' so we know what to expect... I'll list some key discussion points below to hopefully keep this easy to digest Hosts welcome / greet people in chat Hosts tell viewers who they are and what role they have in the dev / community team Every episode we must treat our audience like they're listening for the first time, that way new people can drop in at any point and instantly be up to speed Hosts talk about what they've been up to in game. It's comforting to know our supreme overlords actually play this game. They can also share personal stuff in their life but that's entirely down to them, one could see this as humanizing and relatable. I'm sure even a simply 'What've you been up to?' 'Oh housework.', 'I finally took the Christmas lights down', 'I've been reading X book' would suffice. Hosts discuss recently added content and how well its been met by the community People like to know they're being heard. It might make someone's day if their opinion is voiced on stream. Hosts discuss their favourite suggestions added to the suggestion board on the forum Seriously, people need to know they're being heard. I know a lot of suggestions aren't well received by others, but just like sharing people's opinions, sharing their suggestions might also do a ton of good for user engagement. Hosts discuss player made content in-game or external For example website calculators, fan art, fan videos, in-game screenshots Hosts preview upcoming skin concept art (visible when opening the marks store), or any upcoming content ready to be shared It's exciting getting a preview of upcoming content. Skin concept art isn't the most interesting thing to preview but it's something. The lighting engine preview comes to mind, that got a ton of people excited. Imagine having that much excitement every stream. Hosts answer questions in the chat. Best questions can be selected by a delegated chat moderator Thank your chat mods at the end of the stream for their hard work ❀️ It'd be great if we could have these streams released on Youtube so users can go back and binge watch weekly dev streams to catch up if they stop playing for a long time. I know we can go back and re-watch stuff on Twitch but I don't think it's the same. (also I kinda want to see Demona's YT sub count go up ☺️) I really can't emphasize enough how important I feel these streams are. It lets us know we're being heard and that we matter, and it lets us know where the game is heading, that we've stuff to look forward to, and that the people working on the game aren't faceless and lacking empathy.
  12. I would use a large storage unit, just fill all the shelves with backpacks and satchels. It gets a bit ugly though, would certainly welcome a container designed for archaeology.
  13. Not that I was able to mouse over
  14. Wondering why I can't place a catseye at the end of this bridge.
  15. Considering how rarely we get news posts on the launcher, I wouldn't mind seeing it there. Games often promote new MTX content in the launcher, maximum exposure.
  16. The WU mod was absolutely fantastic. Can't praise it enough except for when it bugs out and doesn't open, even after all the mobs spawned by it are defeated. This would easily become one of the most popular content updates in WO, ever, imho. Running treasure maps was so much fun.
  17. If they had a large % damage increase vs. hunter then sure. I don't think it'd be all that worth it if bears survive being damaged by traps and then after a few minutes fully heal as if nothing happened. Meanwhile you just spent a couple minutes building a trap that did absolutely nothing.
  18. Launch WurmOnline from desktop, login etc... Open settings Swap to the key bindings tab Activate a textbox element in the key bindings tab Open another window (inventory, console, etc) (only tested inventory and console with F1, F3 default keybinds) The keybind textbox will now remain on screen until the game has closed. The on screen textbox ui element can be interacted with even while the settings window is closed. Clicking the save button after changing a keybind in the key bindings tab appears to prevent textboxes from lingering. https://imgur.com/g9QYopp
  19. I'd like 1 clay & 1 peat, CoD to Archaic ❀️
  20. I'd like the option to save the state of the window in the way it is when the save command is given (right clicking the container name and selecting save). Also the option to reset the window in the default position, but I digress. Being able to save window states would mean each individual container can be structured however the player wants. Sorry if this seems like a hi-jack post, not my intention. Big +1
  21. Hm. Four different topics, 1. faster skill gain, 2. more content , 3. extend f2p, 4. make game "cheaper" In short, 1 partially no , two yes, three yes, four no. Hell no, yes, yes, no If you want faster skill gain, work toward path of knowledge. Get your tools enchanted. Earn that bonus. I can't imagine anyone is of the opinion that we don't need more content. Extending f2p in no way is detrimental to p2p. Maybe limit characteristics at 30, regular skills at 70 and keep priests as premium content. Also keep the number of creatures F2P characters can care for to two. I wouldn't mind them slowly expanding the mark store but given the rate at which new content is released, the existing monetization model is most ideal. Supposedly the game makes a lot more now that real world trading is gone. Hopefully that has meant that the money put into the game has also gone up. [queue laugh track] Still waiting for an announcement on volunteer devs to be welcome. Maybe then someone will finally make a model for the bloody Temple. πŸ™„
  22. I may be mistaken but I don't think you can shatter containers by failing these casts, at least not in WU, and if they do shatter / are deleted, the items in the database aren't cleared, which can lead to unusual behaviour. Again, might be wrong. In any case it should be patched.
