I find the lack of a "earth" based enchantment of FA/FB disturbing i.e "XXX's weapon Petrifies you!" it would do absolutely nothing different then FA/FB, just a different message and wound type. and while you're at it do it for player dieties too damnit

i'm at the impalong now, but besides that i don't plan to leave deed / afk outside deed ever lol BTW, everyone here says those 110+casts as rumours.. does anyone have an actaul screenshot? no screenshots, but i've seens MANY 102+, some 110+, and heard of 150's -
No one is asking for anything to be removed, just that each player can play using the texture set they enjoy most which in your case is winter. Different texture sets have different impacts on visibility in PVP. So do tree render distance, creature render distance, location of local box, etc. But you see, all of this, is infact, optional. Making texture packs optional solves all of this. Texture packs do indeed allow variation, mostly because people have a wide range of computer hardware. ATI & Intel hardware doesn't play well with Java graphics. Turning off "extras" is one thing. Changing the entire world is completely different. Yeah? You can set trees to generate as maximum possible distance, pretty trees on and everything, with extreme tile decs What does this cause? You can barely see any items on the ground if they're within 10 tiles of you, and moving through forests is a massive pain as all you can see are trees. Turning all of these to minimum? Large gaps in between trees, everything is visible on the ground, and large grasslands because of ungenerated trees. setting creature rending to minimum makes it so all you know of a player being close to you is local, untill they're finally in range, which is very short. maximum? you can see them from just about local's range, can see animals and everything many many tiles away, including those on mountains. These are all much more influencing then a tile being white or not, or covered in leaves that look like a pain, etc. And be not one to complain, i personally like the texture packs, all but fall tbh, but they should stil be optional, if not force people into having extreme and utmost everything! OH, wait, that would mean many people would be inable to play wurm. There will never be an "equal" term, just because all of that. No reason for textures to not be optional.

isn't above 100 regarded useless, as all it does is increase length of the enchant? also i've heard of 150 casts somewhere around here -
Yes, there's an "Improve" keybind.

What? That makes no sense and has nothing to do with why it looked silly. Meaning the "idle" animation wouldn't look so much as that. nor would any other, obviously as they said, they've been animating the bear appearing and walking around like that would be like having a player look and walk like this The only actual thing that looks wrong, would be the claws.

Along with that, each starter deed has a grand epic portal already built for you.

yeah, in actuality both the skill increased by ... and the mouseover are aswell, rounded up hmmmm

I don't think you realize most ganks aren't actually desired by the defending player, if a person can't afford this he's rather screwed. Something like a permapet which you have to train from the ground would fit somewhat better.

I see no point in having multiple kingdoms to worship the same gods. fix gods first, then hots pmk's

Fixed - no permadeath perhaps a 3 life system then, but the ability to "buy" alts without any consequence is too much a benefit.
-
Yes and no, I like the aspect of having a permanent "pet" that you have to train up yourself, having them start at 0 everything. but 5 is too much. Perhaps allow 1 pet, for 50s, and you would be able to command the soldier to do practically any skill. It's pretty much like having an alt that's always online with you, but if it dies, it's permadeath. Your idea causes wurm to make some sharp turn into a RTS-style game, which it shouldn't be.

sounds like a good idea to me too, but I'd take it a bit beyond the gem. Make it so the gem is required to make new jewelry and then make that jewelry take the spot of the gem in this idea. That way jewelry smithing gets some love Gemmed jewelry has been suggested, i don't see it making sense to sacrafice a diamond necklace instead of just the diamond, thougj.

Oh nono, i just tend to play it much, Lucidrains is the creator.

Actually, i like the idea of using gems to "contain" spells that are able to be used later by nonpriests, offensive, defensive and utility. 'course, it'd be harder to enchant them. and a big cd after firing from a gem to use another gem.
