I totally agree. It remindes me of the game Supreme Ruler 2020. Pretty awesome game. Should look into that again.

Can't help but to say, this is one of the better threads that have come up in the Golden Valley. Actualy, it's pretty exciting. Btw, just a little tip. You might want to sum up the turns and put them in the first post with a redirict link towards the page the events are posted in. So people can have a better overview.
