I thank you guys for your suggestions. I was concerned that some updates had been done while I've been away that would account for my difficulties finding Iron. Batta was kind enough to put me at ease with that.

Yes, in the past it's been my experience that iron has always been plentiful and easily found early on. This is why I'm a bit confused. I'm starting to worry that my starter pickaxe will break before I find ore. lol Thank you Batta.

I'm playing on a local server, haven't changed any settings. I can't find Iron. I've found plenty of sandstone, salt, and even gold, but no Iron. Did they overbalance the minerals?

I fixed it.

I'm running Windows10 PC. I don't think it's a system problem. I posted this problem in the actual Wurm forum, which is what I should have done to start with. I'll leave this thread open for a while, just in case somebody familiar with the problem runs across it.

My "Target window", and "Select Bar" with it's "Target: X" boxes have somehow become just a thin bar. I can't expand them. I know how to minimize windows; that's not the case with these two items. Can you help me?

I've played both versions. Is the official version still a subscription? I've started the Steam version today and started a private server. I've never had much luck playing with other people, I usually get left in an abandoned village. The only server that worked well for me was with a guy named Nunatuk. He was great. That must have been on the Wurm Online server. Thanks Brash

I don't remember how to find my server, or how to create a new server. It's been a few years since I've played.

Yeah I get that. Well, I'll give WU a shot I think, only because I found WO too newb-unfriendly and maybe it SHOULD go away.

I'm curious about how much growth there is in WO? I played in a village for about 6 months. Very nice and helpful mayor, but it was just the two of us. Then I tried to start my own village, which was always my goal. I found it to be impossible. The game in general is very discouraging to new players. So I quit Wurm. Now I'm wondering if WU would be a way for me to get back in the game, or will it be just as difficult for a new toon to start out in.

A GM helped me find my corpse. I never went to that location. Don't know if anybody else is having this problem.

Not that I know of. I have changed my password just in case.

I awoke and all my gear was gone. It happened twice. The first time I believe I lost everything, the second time I had only my weapon. All inventory and equipped items gone. Yes, I was sleeping in my bed in my village. I submitted a support ticket for this as well.

I'm having problems starting the client, too. Oh well, there's a million other games out there that don't have this problem. Guess I don't play Wurm.

Who said it was a bug? But anyway, thanks.

I've installed Wurm, but the Java 7 platform which Wurm wanted crashes when I try to start the client. Any suggestions?
