  1. Thank you for clarifying Mrblood
  2. Ehh this is the only post I've ever made in this forum, but ok sorry It was more of me trying to shed light on this situation though, since we arent allowed to discuss staff actions for some reason (seems weird to me lol)
  3. So I've been hearing a lot about, and have experienced a few times myself, people being warned and muted for saying things such as "lmfao" or "wtf" or placing periods in the middle of sentences (NOT the actual language filter) And even today, people being muted for even discussing this, or saying "slab" because it was related to our conversation. Now dont get me wrong, I can totally understand wanting to keep a clean friendly Kchat environment, but there comes a point where it goes too far. Muting somebody for being a plain jerk and cursing at people etc is one thing, but muting people randomly chatting about normal everyday things and saying "lmfao" is a little different... Here is exactly what happened to me so you can see what I mean Me: oh wow I fell asleep in my corbita and woke up beached right next to my dock, perfect lmfao! You have been warned by Traslogan, no swearing, abbreviations still count (lmfao)" etc etc in my event window Me in Kchat after warning: wow i just got warned for putting an F in lmao... "You have been muted for 4 hours for discussing staff actions" etc etc After this an onslaught ensued of people being frustrated by the actions of the staff, and then being muted for either discussing it, or saying ANY words associated with our conversation (Slab, Bed, floorboard, to name a few lol) There is a difference between taking care of disruptive players, and enforcing rules just to enforce them... Just like irl, some cops like to be proactive and help the community, and some cops like to sit behind a bush waiting for somebody with a loud car or dim headlight to drive by so they can ticket them, and those are usually the new cops who want to impress the boss Usually when this topic is brought up, we are referred to the chat rules, but after careful review of the rules I found that nowhere did it say we are not allowed to use common internet abbreviations (such as lmfao or wtf) and if we want to get technical, the rules do not clearly state that we are not allowed to use foul language. It just says no "sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive language" When people say "lmfao" I find it hard to believe it was meant in a harmful, threatening, or abusive manner... And if we really really want to get technical, abbreviations can mean anything we want them to, lmfao could mean "laugh my freaking arse off" For staff to just assume what certain letters mean is bad practice (cop: hey i just pulled you over because I ASSUMED you were speeding and are carrying drugs) I know everyone is just going to read this, get mad at me, flame me and tell me to read the rules etc, but w/e. I pay for this game, I have a voice, and I would like to be heard (and not muted for laughing too hard)
