We are avid hunters and personally love the mycelium ability. Does anyone know if on chaos there is a global chat across kingdoms?

Basically, We are looking to allow peeps on the server to follow any god of their choice and yet still be in villages together IE 2 vyn, 2 lib, and 3 mag guys living in a village together. Any way to allow this server settings wise? If the game wants to be religionist against the amazing BL followers. Is there a setting at least to allow all to talk on the same global? This is a small server which has several old time wilders coming back from a several year hiatus wanting to peacefully play with their hardcore WL friends, Thanks for your time ~Xemos

Why cant the magic of Vyn be holding it up? God of death ( lib ) can let you eat the ground to heal yourself.. but the God of crafting cant allow you to make a magical Escher home of your very own? Even though you can hammer stuff faster than the speed of light using that same god's enchants. If they are your neighbor talk to them, if they are on some odd place on the planet, again, let them play how they want. TBH that building does look epic even though I would never have one like that on my deed...

See... Rolf is the game's creative director, and the other dev, who code his ideas into the game have already made rules. There is a 15 story tall rule, there is the rule on not building above if below isn't made. These are the rules that they wanted. But this whole thread including the vast majority of your posts show that you feel their rules are not enough. You try to spin word like FOX news as if you allow x then the world will melt down and babies will die. No.. We say let Rolf's rules stay as they are, and let people be free to build as they wish. You want more rules to conform to how YOU play.. There are rules in check, and let people build to how they want to build.

Why do people always feel the necessity to impose their views on others? Seriously.. Wurm is HUGE.. If you don't like what you see, go somewhere else or talk to the owner of the ugly building in a nice way and offer to help them design it. If you are traveling and see what you don't like.. KEEP TRAVELING. It's that simple. You have no right to govern how others enjoy this game, or choose to build their fantasy. In my alliance, there are some crap looking buildings, but guess what!!! That's how they want to play, and furthermore my deed is a 15 minute travel away. So I go home to my deed which looks amazing with it's red barn and I enjoy the game how I want to play with the villagers who also like to play this way. Ohh I have a mushroom house being built too. It's my mage's house.. Yeah there is Magic in wurm, that breaks realism of whathave you, so his house is also going to float. but across the street we have a very realistic looking blacksmith hut derived from actual pictures of the time. THIS is how we want to play. Who are you to impose your views on us when the game allows it? You will never meet me in game, you will most likely never see my deed, and I have played this game longer than 95% of you for those who like to quote " well i've been playing for blah blah blah" WHO CARES!!!!

Since epic is KVKVK.. perhaps a possible fix to for Chaos is to make it GVGVGVG ? Where as it is a religios alliance based thing. Also, why can't Lib be a god on the freedom isles? Are they not people who sailed away for peace? Who says us Lib followers don't want a break from 24/7 war? So allow Lib as a freedom religion, IE all 4 allows on freedom and make Chaos fight based on religion. You can kill peope of the same faith. It wont hurt epic as that is where people go to team with buddies in a kingdom to fight. In chaos, there is a great chance your buddy is mag when your fo or vyn right now. But It does allow organized PvP without detracting from Epic...

Have you tried restarting PC? Java may have broken itself to put simply. A fresh restart would remove anything that is frozen in javaland and run anew.

You have some sort of internet usage limiting program installed on your PC? Guessing you live in an area that you have an internet quota?

Ok, so I jstacked it... Oddly enough the PID that null's itself out ( which this did confirm is the wurm main thread ) has no change when it hangs. But there is one thread that does have a change from a wait to an active phase and back to a wait when the hang is over.. It was fun as hell /sarcasm to catch it in these moments as wurm locks up the mouse when it lags.. but with very fast keyboard commands I was finally able to get it. The outputs of jstack, Left is normal game operation / right is frozen/hung http://www.diffchecker.com/0276LR4A And in the middle you will see: "Wurm 3.1.76-4544 [unstable] main thread" prio=6 tid=0x0000000008212000 nid=0x1b4c runnable [0x000000000908f000] has no change even though it is the procees that nulls out during every hang DING! just noticed something... "Attach Listener" daemon prio=10 tid=0x00000000065fc800 nid=0x13fc waiting on condition [0x0000000000000000] *Theory* The thread that changes during the hang has the highest possible priority... 10, the game itself is a 6... So something with that attach listener is acting wonky and since it is the highest priority, the java engine focuses on it and lets the lower priorities all hang till it is done doing whatever it is meant to do. *Theory* ......................I wish devs actually come to the forums........ must.... hunt... in.... IRC....
