  1. I play Wurm to build things and indulge my fantasy of being a medieval-era farmer. It's my relaxing game and I don't want to have to worry about people bothering me or my stuff. Wurm is way too slow/grindy for me to risk losing stuff. If I want to PvP (which is rare), other games are built far better for that purpose.
  2. KellyT was a Pirate

I never met KellyT back in the day, but I remember seeing those signs! I'll be adding a sign to my harbor in his honor. Thanks for letting us know. Our condolences to you and his family.
  3. Literally nobody on this thread asked for a 15s uncovered wagon skin.
  4. I will make my decision at Black Friday, because that's when I buy premium & silver to re-up my deed each year.
  5. Sklotopolis - PVE

Came back to Sklotopolis this week after a long long time away. Happy to see that it's still bustling with activity and a nice community! I thoroughly enjoy the mods and unique gameplay on the server as well. Kudos to the devs!
  6. For some reason I thought they had taken that prompt out a long time ago. But if it's still there, it needs to be removed. Let players go where they will and distribute themselves around the servers. Bring in the new blood. At the most, I would suggest explaining the basic differences between the clusters and let people pick their poison: SFI: Older cluster with more history, greater opportunities for archaeology, lower prices for player-produced goods. NFI: Newer cluster, more pristine land, higher prices for player-produced goods.
  7. I would also like to see the full financials and business plan for Wurm Online. Not for Game Chest Group as a whole, but specifically for Wurm Online.
  8. Unpopular opinion: I actually like the new logo. But that video is hot garbage. It's tacky, looks cheap, and says nothing about what Wurm actually IS. Looks like a 13-year-old kid made it and it's not cohesive with the new logo. Furthermore: why are you releasing a website when it's obviously not ready yet? Using placeholder images and descriptions - be they from other games or AI - on a LIVE site is bad form and false advertisement. The descriptions don't give enough information on WHAT Wurm is. What makes it unique? Why should people play it? There is so much AI-generated or false information, and it has no business being on a live site. Also, the site needs to be created in it's entirety first before switching the DNS to point to the new site. I'm not sure what web development person or firm you're using but this is not following best practice. The branding on the forum hasn't been switched over, the registration page hasn't been switched over - all of this stuff needs to be ready to go. I don't want to come across as being insulting or toxic. I was looking forward to the rebrand. But this is not representative of the game that we love at all.
  9. I have a Trader, and an enormous deed so it saves me a lot of silver and I would hate to see it go away. At the same time, I don't think it's a good idea to grandfather in the 20% discounts for existing deeds and not allow the discount for future deeds. If Traders are going to be removed, the only truly fair way to do it is to allow everyone (present and future) to purchase the permanent discount for 35-40s or whatever the going price of a Trader is these days. But my question is what is the actual motive for removing Traders? Is it just a technical limitation with the silver shop? Does Wurm need the extra cash from deed upkeep? Is this part of a master plan to eventually merge NFI and SFI? Transparency is key here. Finally, kudos to WO for announcing this now, even if they don't have all the details worked out. Its better to have a heads up that this is coming down the pike now, even if it's vague. If they had waited, people would be asking why they didn't get an announcement sooner. Devs, please take your time working this out and more importantly, implementing the changes. This will have major ramifications on the playerbase - hopefully in the right direction.

  11. Guard Tower: "Teaghan 434" 792, 3107
  12. Can I get a lavender shaft COD to Teaghan please
  13. Can I get enough transmutation liquid for 4 sand to clay tiles? COD to Teaghan, please.
  14. Can I get two Pale Masks COD to Teaghan please?
  15. I was not expecting this at all but major KUDOS for this feature. Huge quality of life improvement. Amazing for Trade chat and will make selling items easier. A+
  16. +1. It shouldn't be so difficult to convert. Having a NPC at the starter town seems like a reasonable solution, especially since NFI has that as well.
  17. Recent Removals

Thank you for the transparency, Keenan.
  18. I play on Harmony and love it there. Super nice folks and plenty of space to find a place to settle. You'll have to go out a ways from the main cities/spawn points, but there are still lots of possibilities out there. You can definitely travel between Cadence and Harmony via boat, and trade between the two can happen via boat or the mail system for mailable items. The biggest difference is the terrain on each. Harmony has more mountains and ridges, high points and low points. It's fun for exploration. Cadence is flatter and has tons of watery/lakey type areas. I've linked the maps of the two servers below so you can see which one looks more appealing to you, and maybe even scope out a few places to potentially settle. Harmony Map: https://harmony.yaga.host/ Cadence Map: https://cadence.yaga.host/
  19. The old servers (Southern Freedom Isles) are still available and they do still have folks playing on them, however most of the activity is on the newer servers. The older servers have had years and years of deeds come and go, and so there is relatively little "wild" land. If you enjoy exploring ruins or deeding an area that was previously developed, they are still a good option, and many of the players that remain there are old-timers that have been around forever. The economy is a bit different on the old servers as well - goods are plentiful and prices are cheap. Great if you're looking to buy goods, not so much if you want to sell. The newer cluster has higher prices and more gold to be made, if you are looking to become a high-end crafter.
  20. Hi Achillis, Can I get a 95ql silver staff and a 70ql dioptra please? COD to Teaghan. Thanks so much!
  21. Pretty sure I can be considered a grey Wurmian. I’ve been wandering these lands since 2010, on Indy, Exodus, Indy again, Xan, Indy yet again, and now I’ve been on Harmony since the day it opened. Hopefully my moving days are finally done and I’m settled - but ya never know! I love Wurm for the true sandbox nature of the game. Not a PVPer but its perfect for terraforming, building things, exploration, breeding animals, all the sort of agrarian lifestyle things that most of us don’t get to do IRL. I also love the slower pace - I can AFK when I need to for whatever reason, I can take a break from the game for days/weeks/months when I need to, and yet Wurm is always waiting. (I know, I know). I also love that you see the same names floating around the community over the years. Even with moving to Harmony and starting over with a new name, I’ve run into people that I’ve known from SFI, and its always fun to figure out who is who and reminisce about those early years. Sure, every online community has their bad eggs, but by and large most of the wurm community are good folks and are eager to help others out. We were all a newbie at one time, and we pay it forward. IRL I’m 42 and getting those grey hairs. I remember computing back in the commodore 64 days, writing lines and lines of basic code to play the most rudimentary games. Getting my first PC with games on CD, learning HTML so I could set up a Geocities webpage, and the start of MMO gaming. I’ve played tons of MMOs over the years, and even though I enjoy some of the current new and hot games, Wurm still has a special place in my heart and always will.
  22. Absolutely on board with this. I'd love to be a gardener in-game. Some additional types of flowers would be amazing as well - ie bluebells, dahlias, miniature roses, babys breath, etc. Various colors would be nice too. Just throwing this out there - the Animal Crossing franchise has an interesting way of doing cross-breeding for color that could possibly work in Wurm. As an example, you start with three easily-found “basic” colors of rose: red, white, yellow. If you plant a red rose and a white rose diagonally from each other and water/tend them each day, there is a VERY small chance each day that a pink rose will spawn in an empty spot adjacent to them. Then you can do the the same with the pink rose and a yellow rose to get orange, and so on. Super rare colors like blue, purple, and black are possible, but the spawn rates are even lower so they are extremely difficult and can take weeks/months to breed. To go along with this - maybe some new flowerpot/decor shapes? Like garden boxes, vases, wreaths for walls/doors, arched trellises, topiaries, wall swags, and so on. Maybe we can plant oleander and lavender in flower pots and arrangements. Some of us would love to go flower-crazy on our deeds.
