  1. As a non-premium player, will I not be able to create and sail on my own ship of any sort, even a boat? (limits on MInd Logic?)
  2. Ok (I heard that Wurm's GM's are pretty much volunteers (not to mention the CA's) -- if that is the truth, then that right there is a beautiful example of altruism)
  3. I was hoping it would get more traffic this way. I clearly mentioned Wurm Online. I suppose such a subject is not a priority... Hmm.
  4. <snip> How do people feel about random acts of altruism in Wurm? Do you have your own Wurmian tales of altruism to share?
  5. Thanks, I looked at H&H and tried it in the past... It's a bit weird... What made you leave so soon? Ah, ok. Thanks because I can't fully enjoy wine in 3D life... most of the time I get a headache or migraine the next day. But there is something about the art of viticulture that is fascinating. Hehe
  6. Anarchy Online! What a great game it was ...
  7. I noticed Wurm has a simple wine-making feature. I know of one other MMO, A Tale In the Desert, which has really really superb viticulture, complete with formulas, mini games, barrel types, wine tastings.... Do any other sandbox MMO's have this?

  10. Hmm. Disagreed but something to ponder. This topic can be closed.
  11. Is that why your name is Roame? Any scary or cool adventures?
  12. You made my day It's doable? Awesome. Impalong... before Wurm, I never even heard of the word or the concept. So thank you, Wurm. The Colosseum server - meaning, this is something that the developers would have to create? Or it's within the power of the players, provided that there is a demand for it? -- But yes, you got my drift. What is an mmo without surprises? So, everyone has a deed. Grinding away on items that have already been made the exact same way by thousands of other players. Nothing unique there. Step away from the grind. We are people, not automatons; and I want to get to know those people.
  13. Wurm has limitations - just take a glance at the Suggestions forum. I think every MMO out there has these. To take something and make creative use of it, with all of its half-baked beauty, is a way to bring spice, sizzle, oomph into the game. It doesn't even have to be roleplay, nor does it have to be done with Premium time. Would some of you mind brainstorming with me to find these? --- Example idea: Travel from place to place in a wagon or large cart, selling tea and juices (or giving them away for free) to the people in Local Chat. (They are usually friendly and dying for distraction from the grind.) Catch up on some gossip, make some friends and leave a smile on their "juice-stained" lips. Idea # 2: Travel the same way, advertising various goods to the locale, which the said locale may be in need of. Sometimes traders and merchants are too far away, as are resources. These can be sold or bartered. A traveling merchant?
  14. Join your local community garden. ;)

  15. We're not gonna survive, Alec.
  16. The main reason I'm on Wurm is because I can imagine what it's like to work the land; to plant seeds and harvest plots. I'm not able to do so in real life. If you're like me and are in the US, you can find a community garden to volunteer at to make up for this hunger (but if you own your own garden, you are insanely lucky!): https://communitygarden.org/find-a-garden/
  17. Interesting, the way the human psychology works. This topic is so uncomfortable for most that they'd rather not even bother. Well, you know what they say about avoidance. It's gonna bite you in the ass.
  18. New question - it dawned on me yesterday that one can "move into" a disbanded deed? What are the pros and cons of doing so?
  19. Please see my pm. I also sent you a skype msg, but no reply.
