  6. i remember some similar suggestion to make abandoned places to back to "natural looking" but if they let it happen on deeds a lot of people will hate it, if deeds and highways are both immune then it sounds like a lot of dev work for very little use. i would start small and make this happen first, right now in theory pavement will decay overtime if never used but in practice it almost never does, even after years. but this would lead to the whole world being flat, other suggestions i remember talked about making random slopes, because before players enter a server, it isnt just all flat so everything flat wouldnt really make it more "natural".
  7. Linking bug?

    the only thing similar to this i found is if you copy and paste a linked item then you get the normal text that looks like a link. try checking your logs for both the working link and the broken one? working links look something like this "[rare iron shovel blade QL:23.511333 DMG:0.0 WT:1.0 ]" if you just copied and pasted the same thing it will show this in your logs "[shovel blade]" if it shows something diferent than both of those maybe that will help figure out the issue.
  8. yes i expected it to be missing much more but it was solved with about 80 catseyes.
  9. im there and so far it looks like if there was a road from https://harmony.yaga.host/#2224,1222 to https://harmony.yaga.host/#2075,1287 it has been destroyed intentionally, because the road is gone near the tunnel, not just catseyes but the road itself is not paved and underwater. they just didn destroy it all. i destroyed some of the pavement there to make it clear. the "dorter bridge" which is really 3 or 4 bridges are safe, green catseyes on both sides and waystones protecting them so those were never in danger. there was a good chunk of missing catseyes here https://harmony.yaga.host/#2230,1208 going east and north and i fixed those. TLDR: problem solved.
  10. floorboards are used as pavement and to destroy marsh and they either exist or not, you never see dmg, wooden plank floors are built inside buildings only and you see ql and dmg.

  13. the response to the bucket head skin was most people liked it, most other people didn't care and 4 people didn't like it. but of course all you remember was the 4 people that didn't like it.

  15. no it isnt. the pictures i posted are much older than those skins you posted, those are very new. they dont represent what wurm has looked like "since forever". and i took those picture i posted years before you made your forum account, does that make me more correct? NO it doesnt. there are things in wurm that i dont like but i dont pretend i have a grand reason for not liking them. i cant believe you didnt notice until now but somehow you didnt, the game was like this(i wouldnt call it clowish.) since before you started playing i know because i was there and saw it. if you want to know about what most players think about this or anything else that would need an ingame poll because most players do not ever use the forums or only use them to buy and sell.
  16. oh yeah wurm used to be ultra realistic aesthetics, then they ruined it when they stopped us from doing this and its all gone downhill from there. if you think wurm ever had a very realistic Aesthetic, you are fooling yourself. you forgot or are just ignorant of past things you wouldn't have liked. so like i said just tell the truth, that you personally do not like it. no need to cover it in ###### its fine to say you dont like it and thats why you wish it was removed.
  17. i am not, nor have i ever been a developer or part of the art team. my opinions here are my own. we are indeed going in circles because you keep "but look other people agree with my opinion that makes it objective" and it just doesnt. thats not how that works.
  18. you keep missing the point that what you call "immersion" is nothing more than things you personally like. thats all it is, when you dont like something you call it immersion breaking because you think that means something. there is no objective measure of what is or is not immersion breaking so what you are asking them to do is never add anything that you personally do not like.
  19. people didnt hate gothic 3, what people really hated was gothic 4, so much that they dropped gothic 4 from the name and started selling it as "arcania". but sequels to other games being bad has nothing to do with wurm. this would be fine and im all for more things being optional(like blinding snow in winter). its your opinion about what wurm aesthetics should be, an opinion not shared by most. the most "immersion breaking" item ever(for people foolish enough to believe there is such a thing as immersion) was the singing gnome, singing a song with the words "from rolf and the team, happy Christmas to all" or something like that. and that happened years before you made your forum account. this isn't new you just didn't care before and do now.
  20. they are talking about highways with green catseyes but paved with floorboards, off deed, i know because they asked about it on ca help. i did my own test and in less than 24 hours one tile is gone out of 4.
  21. i considered making an updated version but the problem is this since there is no console command to load a toolbelt or a skilltrackers(only keybinds), those would still need 1 extra key press each after a "mode change" to load.

  23. i dont know if it was a bug but we used to get both from arch. if getting them was a bug can we get a fix to turn those into metal?
  24. looks like tich marble statue fragments are gone from the posible fragments in archaeology. someone mentioned it on ca help some time ago and i start paying more atention to it. now after several hundreds more statue fragments i still havent gotten 1 single tich marble fragment. i have old ones i got some time ago but im not getting anymore.
  25. this isnt really the same issue as the first post on this topic but from what i tested recently borders between 2 off deed paved tiles of most kinds,slabs,cobblestone,gravel,etc do not allow building fences or gates because of an old rule about any two paved tiles off deed being considered a road. its more of a suggestion than a bug but i agree that it should change.
