  1. Took the words right out of my mouth. I mean... Uh... I would never do such things, shame on you!
  2. When you're buying an account, you're buying the reputation. Anybody who tries to tell you different is fooling themselves. Excuse me while I burn a nosfirebird effigy.
  3. Look. I'm a big fan of marketing myself - and I would love to see them quelling the scared and huddled masses by telling us sweet lies about proposed venues for advertising. However, harassing them because they won't divulge their secrets does nothing but make future developers more reticent to talk about this already touchy subject. They said they have a marketing campaign in the works. I believe them. End of story.
  4. No single mention about the current path Wurm Online is taking towards a more PvE oriented game. A shame, it makes Wurm sound like it's already dead, when the only thing dead is the PvP.
  5. Unsure if you're in favor or against... Your sarcasm lacks direction. Anyhow, back on topic: The only way this idea would work is if the no-trade clause was something that was added intentionally by the user. Similar to Imbues. I can only imagine the havoc of a no-trade clause occuring by RNG, particularly for people who do improvements or enchantments. It would also have to be something segregated entirely from Chaos and Epic.
  6. I would absolutely hate to be capped at 20 Cloth Tailoring, Masonry, Stonecutting and Carpentry, when I went through so much trouble to grind them up the long way (with creation only), just to have access to 20 Woodcutting and Mining on my Vynora priest. If it only pertains to imping, and doesn't change experience gain with creation, I wouldn't care either way. This appears to only matter to priests who refuse to use alts. +0
  7. It's been a long month, and after a week of rest, I am finally ready to get back into the fray. The Hidden Island's Enchantment Emporium is now reopened. The first five individuals to make an order after this post will receive 50c off of their order. All people with a coupon, will be able to redeem it at their leisure. Thank you again for your patience, and thank you for ordering with The Hidden Island. ~~ Dairuka Sutain.
  8. I'm about to start work on the bridge project. At this point both The Lone Wolf and Pickle Island are taking decay damage on their deeds. I'm going to assume their deeds are abandoned until otherwise notified. If you do not want me to continue this project, please contact me in PM, or in game. I will do what I can to work with you, but you have to talk to me first. Thank you. ~~ Dairuka Sutain.
  9. All items have been returned. Items sent 'after' I put up this notice have not been returned as I haven't been in game for almost a week. I'll log in now and return them. Please do not send anything to me until at least September 12. I will not be back until then.
  10. I am sure a lot of you who have ordered within August 10 to August 19 are wondering where your order is. The truth is, I've just spent the last seven days dealing poker 12 hours a day during an August Super Stack. This is by far our busiest time of the year, and due to my company's policy of short-staffing us, I'm being leaned on heavily by my place of business to pull off incredible overtime. This has effected my personal life greatly, but I'm holding things together. What I can't hold together is the insane demand that I've been faced with in Wurm. When I do get free time to actually play Wurm, more than 75% of it is done fulfilling orders. Because of this issue, I am now putting a moratorium on any orders coming in after 5:38am MST (12:38pm GMT) on Friday, August 19th. (Right now.) All orders that come in after this time, will not be completed until my work, real life, and personal enjoyment of the game reach a level that I deem fitting enough to return to doing orders. I am sorry if this alienates any of my regular customers who have relied on me over the past few months, but something had to give, and it was Wurm. ~~ Dairuka Sutain. P.S: The Nahjo Battery ran out of premium, and due to my severely limited playtime, I am not interested in renewing his premium for the sole purpose of completing a few enchantments. As a result, I am cancelling all orders that have Mind Stealer or Life Transfer enchantment requests. Everybody who made an order between August 10 and 5:30am MST August 19 requiring these enchantments will be given 2 coupons for 1 free enchantments per order cancelled that won't ever expire. Everybody else with an order I can complete, will have it completed as early as I can, and will receive their order at 50c off.
  11. It's not like people actually PvP in Wurm Online anymore anyway.
  12. Nopestraya, where every nope wants to kill you.
  13. To date, the only people living in along the shoreline in the region is myself, Niki, Williamwierd, Berris and Sorrow. All of whom I'll ask about what they think in the future. As for the difference between cove, and river - perhaps I jumped the gun a bit soon, but expect things to change in the future. Regarding other deeds: Hillside, Busan, Angel's Coast, Pickle Island, The Lone Wolf, Seven's Bay and Withimund are all either inactive, abandoned or lone gone. Miniroll only logs on maybe once every six months to build something for two weeks before going entirely inactive. For the most part, the name change is for simplicity's sake. It's tiring having to tell people North Inner Sea, only to have them get lost around Blackdog.
  14. You love to milk puns for all they're worth don't you? I admit, the change is pretty cheesy, but I must ask any who object to this change to mooove out of the whey. I for one, find it udderly delightful.
  15. Dear Keenan

All these fingers are pointing all at the same time, and none of them seem to be heading in the correct direction. Hope you enjoyed patting each other on the back, PvP in Wurm Online is dead either way, and the playerbase is as much to blame as the developers are. The beauty of self-cannibalization is that nobody learns anything from the process. That's why it hasn't changed in 20 years.
  16. I'd like to hereby put in a request for a name change: Rather than being known as "Inner Sea", "North Inner Sea", or "North-East Inner Sea", I'd request that the south and western parts be known as "Tigger River", and the north and eastern parts be known as "Eeyore River" Feel free to remap the size of the island over time as it's growing every day; to include the new bridge between Holmestrand and Newbie Island; and to include the newly placed (currently underwater, but not for long) land-bridge and eventual bridge(s) heading south. You may even place my deed on the map. If the size of the island isn't up to snuff to warrant a name change, please offer up some parameters, so I know what to work towards.
  17. Hi, I'm the owner of Phoenicaea island, the man-made island north of your respective deeds. My expansion plans have grown substantially in the past year, and I'm looking towards making the region much easier for new players to traverse. I have projects that I would like to perhaps someday build past your deeds. However, since this is your territory, I would prefer to get your permission to do so first. This prospective road will eventually extend all the way to Dragon Fang - perhaps even beyond if I can get enough permission from enough deeds in the area. If you're either the owner of The Lone Wolf (Pennyblack) or Pickle Island (Brycarnia) - or if you know who they are (or if they're inactive), please contact me in PM. ~~ Dairuka Sutain.
  18. Nothing increases the difficulty of a Rift more than awful terrain.
  19. The code is fine. People are using anecdotal evidence to fuel unfounded theories. Anecdotes on who got how many rares doesn't mean anything when the rare window is as easily missed as having a 18s action timer.
  20. There've been instances where we've had people not get a jackpot because of programming bugs in the slot machines.
  21. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anecdotal_evidence https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler%27s_fallacy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias I deal with this every day at my Casino. Luck is fickle, people are bad at probability, timing and math.
