  7. Wurm would be a great case study for a game design class. Particularly in regards to the unheralded game mechanics changes, and the responses they receive from the game's community.

  10. Wurm's Combat system is not engaging. There is very little interactivity, with very little variation. This is the primary reason why PvP fundamentally will never be successful in Wurm. PvE'ers and PvP'ers of Wurm both need to step up to the plate and begin demanding Combat Reform above server cluster updates that will do little to increase server cluster population.

  12. From a design standpoint, PvP either functions as a money sink, a revenue-trap for gaming Whales, or as an artistic focal point for balance and development to the detriment of Wurm as a whole. To this day PvP in Wurm remains the long running joke in other gaming communities, with no hope of changing in sight. PvP need not disappear entirely, but it may be better suited as the sideshow rather than touted as the main event.

  13. Even if you don't like the changes made, many changes that effect everyone were still done with only PvP in mind. PvE'ers suffer greatly because of it, and that's where the perception of favoritism comes from.

  15. You can't moderate information. You can remove one source, but information sources spread faster than moderators can delete or ban.

  16. Willful ignorance is the greatest evil of our era. Keep an open mind, accept the times when you are incorrect, learn from your mistakes, and never accept unverified quantities. Test everything, and learn all you can about every subject.
