Wondering if anyone has any advise for some settings for me. I am trying to create the smallest map size using mostly the map generators defaults but all my maps come out really bumpy with sharp spikes every other tile or so all over. Been trying to use erosion a few times and playing around with the max dirt on tile and max dirt on slope but I cant seem to find the correct combo of settings to smooth out the landscape.

For me, i learned that the Coordinates listed on the player tab of the server settings was incorrect. Getting the coordinates while as a GM in game from the tile I was standing on ended up working which seems to be opposite of what others have been saying, either way it finally started spawning where i wanted so I am happy..

I came across this as well on a custom map. I was able to throw down a deed but when my wife tried to put one down we got the same message. I invited her into my deed and it immediately allowed her to put down a deed. Double checked that her toon was set to Kingdom 4, the server is set to Homeserver with Kingdom 4 no I have no idea. With all the bugs i've come across with a custom map I just gave up and threw up a Creative Map server, so far I have had 0 issues.

Dam them mod requests getting forced down everyone's throats! If it was ever made due to a request then everyone will have to use it no matter what server situation they are in! Lets burn all the posts before we spin into utter chaos and destruction!!!!

Heres a request to throw out there. Lets get rid of limit of sign posting off deed. We all want to create infrastructure and roads within our tiny servers, lets do it quicker without the sign limitations

I have a custom map i loaded in but I cannot seem to get the Spawn Point working. What I did was logged out of the game I wanted the spawn point. In the players tab I pulled the coordinates for that character; Position in X: 6354.1606 Position in Y: 1378.1006 In the Local Server tab I unchecked Random Spawn Points and populated; Spawnpoint x: 6354 Spawnpoint y: 1378 However, whenever I create a new character I always spawn at the same location of x: 8187.0, y: 5517.0 This is starting to drive me crazy, any ideas how I can get this figured out?

I cannot get the spawnpoints to work for the life of me. I unchecked Random spawn points and added in the coordinates 6354 for Spawnpoint x and 1378 for Spawnpoint y yet creating a new character throws me out into the middle of the ocean..driving me crazy

It is indeed really easy for a non programmer. First make sure you have the 64 bit version of Java installed and not the 32 bit, then when you download the program, put it somewhere easy to reach via Windows Command Prompt. When you have done that, click start, type cmd in the search bar and hit enter. Navigate to the .jar file you downloaded using cd command prompt command. When you are there, paste in: java -Xmx2048m -jar WGenerator.jar to make sure you are using 2gbs of memory at least.

For number 2, its easy enough to build a wooden floor with opening that takes really little material to build and it also includes a ladder to climb up it (just like scaffolding), then once you build the 2nd floor of walls you can destroy the wooden opening floor.. I am all for the dome ceilings, Gold dome ceiling for temples!

My first try.. This is a 2048 x 2048 map with a little bit of every tile type After realizing the above map's clay tiles would probably translate into giant clay fields I went back in and calmed those down. The hardest part about this is getting the down the size on how it would actually look in game.

Thanks Budda, going back through the posts I realized it was an error on my part. I am running this on the backup desktop I plan to use for the server and realized im only running Java 32 bit :| Got the correct version and and now able to set the memory correctly. Thanks!

Not quite sure what i'm doing wrong, tried doing all the recommendations in this post as well as some random numbers with various tiles but the Add Biome doesnt seem to do anything for me on the map I can generate the height and drop dirt alright but nothing with the biome, if i try to use the biome and use the save options nothing is being written to the map_actions file either

StarCitizen was an all around fail. That's the issue with crowd funding games, its all a gamble on if it will be a success of it ends up being a bunch of people just looking to rob people of money. Don't lose all hope. I would say out of 3 games I put money in, 1 of them will fail but the other two will be great. For example on ones that were a success; Kerbal Space Program, Banished and ARK, to name a few. Just keep with your gut and don't overly hate yourself when they go south.
