  1. WTS referral

    It is sold. Please close
  2. Hi, i am selling my referral for 6s. If u are interested respond in this thread or pm me in forum. (I hope i can pass it on as i am currently out of premium...not sure if it affects it or not)
  3. For those struggling to play wurm on ATI cards (mostly Linux) fear not anymore ! Just use the 64 bit version of your linux distribution and u will get the 64 bit version of ATI's proprietary drivers which apparently seem to work flawlessly... even comparing to windows 7 64 bit.
  4. This issue no longer resides. The problem lies on ATI 32 bit proprietary drivers and the way they interact with 3D Java apps. Please use the 64 bit versions of those Unix operating systems in order to get the 64 bit version of the proprietary driver which runs wurm like a charm.
  5. For those that have an ATI card and had issues running the game in Ubuntu or Linux in general, you must install the 64 bit versions of the distributions!!!. The problem lies with the ATI 32bit proprietary driver and the way it handles 3D Java applications. Minecraft users also have similar problems. The 64 bit version of the driver is working flawlessly. Took me about 6 months to figure that out...
  6. Yo, Anyone tried running wurm in a virtual machine with success? I tried using virtual box and windows xp with hardware acceleration enabled but i get opengl errors.
  7. I appreciate the answers but the problem is Java + ATI drivers in Linux. Latest SUN JAVA 6 and latest LINUX CATALYST 11.5 causes the game to CRASH in UBUNTU 11.04 while using an HD 5850 (same goes for the whole 5XXX range). This happens in each and every system trying to run Wurm using an ATI 5XXX card in Ubuntu with Sun Java 6. So it's not my own problem. Also the same things happens in Minecraft which is also a Java Game. There are some older posts concerning this issue thats why i won't bother to post any logs. I have done so in the past, the problem still stands. I am just asking if anyone has found catalyst drivers that work. Changing to inferior hardware is not an option for me.
  8. come on guys noone plays wurm using linux and ATI???
  9. There are a couple of worksarounds but i am not sure that u want to to that, since they propably know that you play at work and also they took action to make sure that u can't play.
  10. The problem (crashes after login) with java and ati drivers on ubuntu still exists (same problem exists on Minecraft). Are there any workarounds available or maybe any ATI drivers that are stable with sun java 6 ?
  11. so anyone able to play wurm on an ATI system since 11.04 ?
  12. yo! i get the message connection refused although i am a premium. Is there a server issue?
